Re: Tales Of Symphonia Remastered Will Be Launching On Switch Next February

Kiz3000

February is becoming quite packed for me:

7th Feb - Hogwarts Legacy (hopefully on PS5 if I can afford one)
16th Feb - Final Fantasy Theatrhythm
17th Feb - Tales of Symphonia
22nd Feb - Digimon World: Next Order

Goodbye wallet, it was nice knowing you.

Watch Advance Wars be announced for February as well and my gaming for the year will be complete in only the second month of the year.

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For October And November 2022

Kiz3000

I had Mario & Rabbids Gold Edition pre ordered, but I've since cancelled due to already having a backlog and a wedding to pay for. I'll definitely get it in the new year, probably for a good chunk off considering Ubisoft games drop in price fairly quickly.

Otherwise I've got nothing else on my radar before 2023. Hogwarts Legacy, Theatrhythym and TotK are all day one buys for me.

Those 8bitdo controllers do seem pretty snazzy though.

Re: Soapbox: For A Jaded Pokémon Fan, Scarlet And Violet Is Exactly What I Need

Kiz3000

Just to put a dampener on things but Pokemon games have ALWAYS had 3 "storylines". It wouldn't surprise me if this is the same as those but a bit more fleshed out.

1) Beat the gyms - Beat the league
2) Stop the big bad team
3) Complete the Pokedex

They may surprise me but these are the three things I think the "storylines" revolve around.

Why are GameFreak STILL struggling with fram rates on the Switch? A lot of that trailer was painful to watch.

After saying all that, I'll probably still get sucked into buying on day 1

Re: Disney's New Free-To-Play Racer Wants To Be Distinct From Mario Kart With "Combat Racing"

Kiz3000

@Grumblevolcano What is the difference between a season pass and a battle pass in your eyes?

This is 100% a battle pass that their will be multiple of over the years all broken into specific seasons, hence the name season pass.

It'll certainly be funny if this free-to-play title is less predatory than Chocobo was as a full price title. I really don;t mind the season pass model as long as I am rewarded handsomely for completing the season pass and get the next season pass for "free" ala Apex Legends and Fortnite.

Re: UK Government Warns It "Will Not Hesitate To Consider Legislation" Against Loot Boxes

Kiz3000

@Mattock1987 "lootboxes are gambling and it’s the only form of gambling kids can regularly take part in"

Unfortunately this is where you are wrong. Lootbox mechanics have been around for far longer than gaming and have been used in toys (gacha machines and more recently blind bags), sweets (hidden collectables), trading cards and other things I am likely forgetting.

Sure lootboxes are probably the most predatory, but they are not the ONLY gambling children are exposed to.

Re: UK Charts: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Returns To The Top

Kiz3000

@Axecon Really? I am surprised it is selling as well as it is. ALL reviews, quite rightly, blasted the game for the lack of content. Me and brothers bought it to make a team and play online but you can't even do that as you are only allowed to team up with one other console online. It is a fantastic game to play a match of but it is not worth anywhere near £35 and that makes me sad as Strikers Charged is up there as one of my Top 10 games of all time.

Re: UK Charts: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Returns To The Top

Kiz3000

@LXP8 I know what you are saying, and I will assume you mean well, but the "worst type of gamers" are the ones that belittle what other people play.

Gaming is a very broad hobby in that you can be as casual or as hardcore as you like. There are many genres to experience and many ways to experience them (console, mobile, PC).

Re: UK Charts: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Returns To The Top

Kiz3000

Just an FYI that Lego Star Wars went on offer everywhere for about £28, so that'll explain it shooting back up to number 1. Particularly with school holidays starting very soon.

Seeing Switch Sports so high is strange and hearing that Mario Strikers is holding on to the number 12 spot is disappointing. Certainly the worst two games that Nintendo have put out in a long while and yet they are still selling very well.

Re: Random: Dev Launches Attack On NFTs At An NFT-Sponsored Event

Kiz3000

@Bobb I believe the European Courts ruled that consumers must be able to sell digital games. I can't see that has actually come to fruition so I imagine it is still held up by the businesses opposing the idea. it also may have been shelved but from a quick Google I can't find anything one way or the other.

In regards to NFTs I admit that I do not know as much as I should, simply because I find them baffling in their current form. I do believe they have a use but others have pointed me in the direction of other people far more knowledgeable than me that say otherwise. Consider me schooled.

Re: Random: Dev Launches Attack On NFTs At An NFT-Sponsored Event

Kiz3000

All these comments about NFT's being bad for videogaming is sad to see.

For clarification i do not own any Crypto or NFTs and don't plan to right now.

NFTs as they are right now are bad. BUT NFT's, and the blockchain, allow people to actually own digital assets. This is relevant to videogames as you'll now own the game bought from the marketplace and can sell that game again in the future if you please. Physical media is dying and NFTs WILL become a part of gaming, at least the technology behind it all will.
