@mariomaster96 Strange you say that because I really liked the FF7R combat system despite being a FF traditionalist and thinking I really wouldn't.

I am looking forward to this remake but will probably get it on PS4/5 as I can see the Switch version running okay, but obviously not as well as on the bigger boys.

Completed the demo and itching for more.

Of the three I played I enjoyed the Distant Future the most, probably because it had the most mysterious story. The Japanese one was hard if you approached fights the wrong way and the China one was the easiest and most old school RPG like.

I am looking forward to the full game dropping next week and trying out the 5 other styles.

I imagine I'll complete the three already started in the demo before moving on. Probably Shinobi then Future then China.

Nice to know that Miss Chalice makes the game a bit easier for noobs like me that absolutely struggle on Normal and don't see the point in Easy when you can't complete the game.

Physical Mario & Rabbids for me. The first game was such a blast and the DK DLC was superb. The new features of a gridless combat and additional customisation (I think) with the Sparks adds an additional layer of complexity I think the game needed.

The turn around in opinion the game had from the pre-E3 leaks to when it was actually released was amazing to see.

I enjoyed what i could complete of it, but I just kept hitting a brick wall and eventually gave up out of frustration.

I would still recommend the game however.

ALready downloaded Little Noah and Portal. That should be me set until Live-A-Live and Digimon at the end of the month.

@SteamEngenius I feel like MH is a fantastic multiplayer game and just an okay single player experience. This was my third MH game after MH1 on the PS2 and MH4 on the 3DS and my opinion of the game has not changed.

I like the monsters. I like the clunky combat. I just feel like traversing the map and fighting the guys on my own is a lonely experience. particularly if I need to do it 5 times to get a certain material. I can see the appeal, it's just not for me.

I still can't get over the random grind rails floating in the sky. i am going to guess that its the cyber-space leaking into the real world, but it needs an effect around it to make this more obvious. I am not expecting this to review well at all.

Never played these games before, even though I was a teenager when the orange box came out. Got them downloading right now ready to play tonight. Lets go.

The game certainly looks the part. I'll wait for reviews and as long as it is at least a solid 7/10 then i'll be picking it up for sure.

Unfortunately I agree with these statements about Mario Strikers. Charged was one of my all time favourite games, and whilst I enjoy this new game, there is just nothing to really do.

I have finished all of the single player content and now I get to face off against real players who are in clubs to have fully optimized teams. sigh

So no XC3 in the general direct next week. Lovely. Gives them time to touch on new announcements.

@Mando44646 Whilst I agree with your theory I believe Live A Live and certainly Digimon Survive will get such a low print run that I don't think we'll really see any reductions on those titles.

Xenoblade 3 is definitely the most bang for your buck title of the three so it makes the most sense to prioritise.

@DJDM Same here. I don't mind it not having an english dub but please let there at least be a volume slider for speech.

@Fizza It wasn't made clear until about 2/3 months ago that it was a visual novel with a sprinkling of strategy combat thrown in.

@Expa0 Bear in mind that this is a visual novel game first and a strategy RPG second.

But why aren't the coins texture modded to be rings? Missed opportunity there for sure.

On one hand I salute the French for trying to keep their language alive and relevant.

Hollow Knight and Ori literally neck and neck at time of posting. I personally preferred Ori with it's more compact game style, but you can't go wrong with either.

Celeste I haven't played but my brother raves about it.

Weird / annoying that there is no friendly match offered in this demo and you can only do training and then the online stress test in a weeks time.

Would it have been hard to let players play a match with preselected, gearless characters?

This looks fantastic. I would hope it gets a nice physical edition, but I'll get the game regardless.

Definitely got a Mutant Mudds / WarioLand vibe from this. Not sure the sexual innuendo at the start is completely necessary and detracts from an otherwise great trailer.

@Abeedo It might also be the aesthetic they are going for, which seems to be a toy style like Disney Infinity was. It brings all the IPs together without having to do a different style for almost every IP.

@UltimateOtaku91 Have you seen the gameplay of a full game of Mario Strikers that Nintendo France released?

The gameplay itself looked quite a bit stripped back and almost boring. Strikers Charged had more character variety AND each character had a unique dodge mechanic. Granted some were kinda busted, such as Hammer Bros hammer and Toad's jump.

I am still getting the game, but I'm not sure that gameplay trailer did the game any favours unfortunately.

@sanderev I wouldn't call a 6/10 "bad". I would say their review is the fairest from what I have seen and the score fits with their scoring policy perfectly:

A good example of a six is a lazy sequel, it doesn't innovate but it doesn't really do anything wrong.

The LOTR trilogy would be pretty sweet. I would highly doubt it though as the new owners of the works are keen to move away from the Jackson films.

Was the best looking game in this Indie World to me. The soulslike part is offputting considering it looks cutesy and fairly kid friendly.

@CodyMKW That anonymous mode is actually a really good idea and should be the default across all games on all kids accounts.

I used mine, infrequently. Obviously it was far easier to travel with in a pocket, but then the GBA SP wasn't too big and would fit in a pocket as well anyway.

@Erigen I suppose that is my point. The price point would be fine IF they were all truly unique and memorable RPGs. As it stands they all seem pretty copy and paste and probably worth no more than £6 each, i.e. half the price they currently are.

@CharlieGirl To be fair to British Gas it uses this term across ALL devices that use power when in standby, not just games consoles.

On the other hand TVs, computers, consoles use so little power in standby that yes this definitely feels like BG trying to blame the public for their energy bills when in fact it is the shareholders of these companies holding the country to ransom.

Well this has me considering cancelling my preorder. Has a 6/7 out of 10 written all over it.
