Re: Talking Point: Would You Want To Reuse Your Joy-Con On 'Switch 2'?

My joy-con has finally given up the ghost after years of me having to clean the contacts every few weeks to stop drift (why do the joy cons have a 'hood' under the sticks in the first place?), so I took the plunge and bought a pro controller.... I can't believe how poor the joy-cons are in comparison! There is such a small amount of distance between the stick being centred to when you pull all the way in one direction - to the point a joy con now feels like a digital controller. And the D pad itself is a wonderful return over just buttons.

So they do really need to be upgraded!

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's N64 Library With Two More Titles

I feel like i'm in a minority that likes it when Nintendo releases the less perhaps 'main-stream' games like these. Don't get me wrong, I love Banjo Kazooie, Mario, Goldeneye etc but I never got to play games like Extreme G, or Iggy's Wreckin' ball the first time around (or Jet Force Gemini or Winback, or Sin and Punishment or Harvest Moon or......), so these are great for me to finally play after read them in N64 magazine a lifetime ago...

3 words that fill me with dread.... 'Turn Based Combat'. I have said it before, but I wish I enjoyed that mechanic as I know I have missed out on a lot of great games. This game was sounding perfect to me, but at the back of mind I knew there was a reason I ignored this game after the reveal. I thought it might have been procedurally generated but alas no...

Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss

In my eyes Spotify, Amazon Prime and Netflix work for me as I pay (relatively) little for a huge selection of music, TV, films, podcasts etc. However, I can't afford anymore streaming services outside of these; however, I still also buy CD'S/Vinyl and DVDs for things that mean something to me. So for games to work in a similar fashion a lot of the publishers would have to work together or I will be missing out a lot!!

Re: Popular YouTube Channel 'Did You Know Gaming' Receives Copyright Strike For Heroes Of Hyrule Video

I don't see the problem. Nintendo strikes a video containing their existing IP - that someone else is money making from.
Regardless of what Joe Public thinks, this is all Nintendo property and for theirs to do (and protect) how they see fit.

Although the angle of the video (I think - from memory) might be these are old ideas that never came to fruition, Nintendo may think differently and have ideas up their sleeves for the future...
