Re: Video: Today's Teens Simply Cannot Handle The Insane Challenge Of Mega Man

HyperSonicEXE

1 can be pretty brutal, though. Especially the second Wily Stage, I mean dang.
Same thing with 2 - the Wily stage bosses are where the challenge is.
3 and 5 have the bloody Doc Robots and Dark Man with massive collision damage.
4 is just lengthy, but very reasonable!
6 is just easy.
7 and 8 are simple, but harder if you're doing a Buster-only run.
Like 1, 9 has its GOTCHA's, but it's still reasonable like 4. Best one.
10, though, not only takes time to learn, but is white-knuckle every time to play on account of the midbosses or stage hazards. And the Hard Mode bosses add attacks that make them something else (plus Strike Man's stage turns dang near into a bullet hell shmup game).

So they haven't SEEN difficult, yet!

Ice Cream Cone and Keychain deserve special mention.
I don't mind Mega Alakazam, but to each their own.

I think it's high time for the next Pokemon game to introduce Extinction of various species - get rid of some of these awful designs, including select "Legendaries" that just look like clouds of gas.

Awful execution. The other ads are even more cringeworthy.
The visual effects at the beginning were nice even though that sequence lasted way too long, and at least they showed how many games are compatible with them, that was good.

It didn't even try to make a main point out of being able to take your customized fighter on the go.

"...and those of you that played it but gave up mid-way through will take this opportunity to give the new version a try."

I stopped at the Zora section (tedious as all get out) during my only other replay on the Wii VC, so I'm actually interested to hear what all they've changed.

Although...I'm not sure I'm ready to do the Cremia Ranch segment again, especially if I happen to lose...

BECAUSE MILES IS A MARKETABLE NAME, RIGHT

Seriously, what were these guys thinking? Miles Prower, I get it, great, good idea, but adding the Tails nickname was much better in the end.

I'm formulating a game, but if I'm ever in a team working on it one day, I'll be more than happy to consider input because I'm just one guy with good but incredibly niche taste. And I gotta make it appeal to the masses.

Re: Exclusive: Masahiro Sakurai on Planned Accidents and New Ways to Play Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

Wrong - I downloaded Balanced Brawl so all characters had a shot. Project M is nice and all, but just one flavor of Smash. 64 is even its own flavor.
Brawl and 4 are incredibly similar, however. Yeah, great that they tweaked the small stuff (more or less fixing Brawl's glaring errors), but it's not white-knuckle by any means.
Now I do like that there are so many Items that K.O., that's good, but the fighters need that knockout power, too.

"I know that some sequels focus on fixing problems with the last game, but if we had taken that approach then we would have had less than half as many new characters, and the game wouldn’t have felt so different from the last one."

It already feels like Brawl. It's a nigh carbon copy except that everyone is more colorful.
I get what he's saying, but you HAVE to fix problems, and it's the aesthetics and roster that will compare it to the prior game. Technical aspects are important, but that's all for not if the baseline game isn't enjoyable or different enough. Pressing Start at the title screen and hearing Brawl's confirmation sound effect alone is a bad sign.
