Nintendo Download: 26th August (North America)

The latest Nintendo Download update for North America has arrived, and it's bringing new games galore to the eShop in your region. As always, be sure to drop a vote in our poll and comment down below with your potential picks for the week. Enjoy!

Switch eShop - Highlights

No More Heroes 3 (Grasshopper Manufacture, 27th Aug, $59.99) - Fight your way to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings. The legendary assassin Travis Touchdown makes his glorious return to the Madness in the No More Heroes 3 game, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch system! The evil Prince FU and his band of alien assassins are itching to conquer Earth, and the only thing standing in their way is Travis Touchdown and his crew. Armed with his trusty Beam Katana, new tech and some killer wrestling moves, Travis must battle to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings and put an end to the invasion. No More Heroes 3 will be available on Aug. 27.

Spelunky / Spelunky 2 (Mossmouth, 26th Aug, $9.99) – Grab your headlamp and dive into a bould(er) adventure with the Spelunky and Spelunky 2 games! Journey deep underground and explore fantastic places filled with all manner of monsters, traps, treasures and maybe even a few friends. Danger lurks around every corner, so you’ll have to be mine-ful of your surroundings to survive. In both games, you can climb, walk, squeeze and crawl your way through randomly generated, destructible levels solo or with a few friends. KeyWe (Sold Out, 31st Aug, $24.99) - You’re invited to experience KeyWe, the cute and chaotic co-op postal puzzle game where the mail must flow and it’s up to you to keep things running! Play as Jeff and Debra, two small kiwi birds and the newest hires at the Bungalow Basin Telepost Office. With no hands to help them, the two must work together to jump, flap, peck and butt-slam their way across an interactive landscape of levers, buttons and bells to get the mail delivered on time. KeyWe will be available on Aug. 31.

Alveole (Sometimes You, 1st Sep, $4.99) - Alveole is a minimalistic puzzle where the player must understand how to run and why does he do it? Alveole is a short experimental project that explores the possibilities of the player in a restricted environment, where there is only one game mechanic, elevated to the absolute.

Arcade Archives VANDYKE (HAMSTER, 19th Aug, $7.99) - VANDYKE is an action game released by UPL in 1990. Players use weapons including swords, boomerangs, bombs, and flails to defeat enemies and bosses as they progress. Your character will also gain attack power and strike a heroic pose when you pick up meat items, so be sure to use these to your advantage! The "Arcade Archives" series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games. *This game uses the Japanese ROM for the main part of the game. The options menu and manual are available in Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Cape’s Escape Game 3rd Room (26th Aug, $9.80) - Looks like the main character is heading home from a date with Todomi. He got passionately beaten up by Todomi so he’s on cloud nine♪ He’s a little thirsty so he stops by at a convenience store. But the store name is called “Labor Loss”. Is it really legit? Sure enough, the main character finds himself in a super weird convenience store. He gets trapped inside as usual by Cape. Solve riddles to help the main character escape.

Checkers for Kids (Prison, 20th Aug, $9.99) - Checkers for Kids is a traditional and inspiring board game which attracts the attention of younger audience. There are lots of unique toys you can choose to play with and customize even further with your favorite addons. Black and white is too boring for you? Change up your playground however you want. And if you are tired and want to relax, just play with your pet fish which will cheer for you during your games against family and friends! If there's no one around to compete with, no need to worry: a skillful AI player will gladly play with you. To make it more accessible for players all over the world, the game offers a lot of settings to test all possible modes of checkers. Grab your favorite toy and improve your logic thinking while having fun!

CRASH: Autodrive (31st Aug, $9.99) - CRASH: Autodrive is a narrative adventure set in the near future where nobody drives and self-driving Autocabs rule the city streets. It's just a normal day when four strangers get into an Autocab, but they are quickly thrust into danger when the car impossibly hits a cyclist. When they exit the car, they discover they all know the victim and they all have a motive for murder! Even the car's artificial intelligence! You play as Emily, a young woman from a small town trying to make it in the big city. You will get to know your fellow passengers, and the car's A. I. as you investigate clues, solve puzzles, and use the clues you find to contradict lies, explore new conversations, and piece together the mystery of who killed Thomas Sinclair!

Dark Thrones (26th Aug, $8.99) - Dark Thrones is a 2D endless runner game. You play as 'Dark', an assassin on his last run to redeem himself and protect those he loves against legions of undead on top of an endless wall. Jump over and slide under various obstacles. Have no mercy against every last unyielding enemy standing in your way to boost your score while collecting coins to upgrade power-ups strewn all across the wall. Shop The player collects coins which allows them to purchase upgrades from the in-game shop. These upgrades aid progression against the trophies.

DOOM Slayers Collection (Bethesda, 19th Aug, $49.99) - The DOOM Slayers Collection takes players through more than two decades of demon slaying – from the classic games that popularized the first-person shooter to the fan favorite franchise reboot, wield an arsenal of powerful weapons as you battle demon hordes on Mars, on Earth, and across Hell in five critically acclaimed games: DOOM, DOOM II, DOOM 3, DOOM 64 and 2016's Action Game of the Year, DOOM (2016).

Eternal Hope (26th Aug, $8.99) - "Perhaps you’d be willing to go to the end of the world for your beloved, but would you go beyond it? Garden Paws (26th Aug, $24.99) - In order to expand your home, and build up the nearby town, you're going to need coins. What better way to earn those coins than by running a shop! Explore the islands and caves collecting everything from poop to flowers to sell to the local villagers. Once you have some seeds you can dive into Farming, or many of the other activities on the islands including, Crafting, Fishing, Mining and Questing. Once you have some spare coin talk to Frank to commission new buildings in town, with each building bringing unique Upgrades, Shops, Quests and even New Areas to explore, you'll have plenty to keep you busy!

Green Phoenix (26th Aug, $3.49) - Green Phoenix is an on-rails 3D space shooter mixed with a deep narrative experience that focuses on the concept of ego and the meaning of freedom. In Green Phoenix, we are transported to a single player story where society is fully technologized and authoritarian and take us on the role of the spaceship AI, Green Phoenix, as it remembers its dead pilot, Dana, and embarks on a journey of revenge.

Hammer 2 Reloaded (27th Aug, $5.99) - Enjoy intense action in this third-person shooter action game. Your job is to clean city of crime in mutiple missions, each one with its own goal. The game features a fully Open World Environment. Improve your arsenal in the dedicated shop with cash you gained from previous missions.

Have a Blast (26th Aug, $17.99) - INTRODUCTION Have a Blast is a high energy, kinetic, multiplayer party game. Battle through the most ridiculously hazardous corners of the galaxy and use your surroundings to your advantage. Outmaneuver your frenemies and shatter them into colorful bits.

Hermitage: Strange Case Files (9th Sep, $19.99) - This gripping paranormal horror adventure revolves around Hermitage, the sinister bookstore that attracts most unusual customers – all of whom seem to be involved in mysterious cases bordering on the paranormal. Investigate mysterious cases by taking on the role of a less than motivated bookshop owner, a former anthropology professor who for unknown reasons has never been seen outside of his bookstore.

Inked: A Tale of Love (26th Aug, $9.99) - Inked is a wholesome narrative-driven puzzle game, a heart-warming story about loss and hope in a time where we all need some comfort. Inked is a hand-drawn puzzle adventure set in a mythological world of beautiful ballpoint pen landscapes, inspired by Japanese folk tales. As the Nameless Hero, explore 10 different minimalistic worlds searching for your lost love Aiko, using your magical paintbrush to solve puzzles in a heartwarming story that will move and shake you to the core.

Instant Farmer (26th Aug, $2.99) - A country life, growing a vegetable garden in your own ranch. In this tiny fantasy countryside experience, that is easy to do and very relaxing. Just keep in mind: water brings life. Swap the blocks of earth, stone, water, and others, like water channels and lawn sprinklers, so that all the arable soil receives the necessary water. Solve the challenge and feel the pleasure of watching the plants instantly grow and bear fruit. There is no time limit or resources to manage, so you can calmly just focus on the core mechanics while listening to a soothing soundtrack and animal sounds. Jessika (19th Aug, $14.99) - What’s your job? In this full motion video mystery adventure you are part of a group that specializes in processing digital footprints of deceased people - all on behalf of the relatives. What at first seems to be a job like any other quickly develops into a dark drama with twists and turns. All you need is your laptop and some basic background info about the “victim” – in this case it’s all about Jessika. Access her database and browse her files by typing different search terms. These will give you access to video clips, audio files, notes, and news articles. Share those with the client and your colleagues to dig even deeper. Use your savvy and combine the facts to unfold the true story of Jessika.

Lamentum (31st Aug, $15.99) - Lamentum is a pixel art survival horror game, set in New England in the mid-nineteenth century. Guide Victor Hartwell, a young aristocrat on a desperate journey to cure the deadly disease that afflicts his beloved wife, Alissa. Their last hope resides in the darkened halls of Grau Hill Mansion whose Earl has uncovered ancient secrets and forgotten sciences. He claims he can heal Alissa, but… at what price? Magnus Failure (Ultimate Games, 23rd Aug, $3.99) - Magnus Failure is an isometric exploration and adventure game with logical elements. Night Flight (23rd Aug, $4.99) - When the last human worker leaves the factory unsupervised, toys wake up and live their lives. One night you find yourself boxed! One-Eyed Lee and the Dinner Party (27th Aug, $4.99) - Beracus and Lee finally have a lead to more information about a potential cure for Beracus' suffering village. Upon finding the entrance to an apparently abandoned bunker, the two become trapped inside and discover the place is inhabited by a family of hospitable cult members, who also happen to be skeletons. The family mistakes the two for fellow members, and invites them to "stay for the party" and wait for the "New World". Unfortunately, Lee and Beracus don't have that kind of time! They'll similarly meet their deaths down there if they don't escape, and they still have to find their all important cure! Together they must explore and talk to the skeleton family to discover clues, collect items, and try to unravel the tragedies that turned this simple bunker into a tomb.

Orbibot (27th Aug, $4.99) - Orbibot is a game in which you control a ball-shaped robot and solve physics- and logic-based puzzles. Being a ball doesn’t limit you as much, you can control buttons, laser switches, and doors to reach the end of the level. Sometimes you will need to use barrels or metal balls to get to your destination. Will you find the teleporter that will take you to the next level?

Thea 2: The Shattering (19th Aug, $22.99) - Thea 2: The Shattering is a follow-up to the successful Thea: The Awakening, which brings the idea of innovative genre hybrid, with elements of turn-based, 4X strategy, survival, RPG and a card game, to entirely new and thoroughly polished level. Choose your gun, purchase an arsenal of powerful more guns and grenades then blow EVERYTHING up and save the world by the way. Lock and load !

Trash Sailors (tinyBuild, 30th Aug, $0.00) - ABOUT GAME Trash Sailors is a hand-drawn sailing action with co-op up to 4 players.
