Had the game since annual gift day and still haven't started yet. Was thinking of waiting until the dlc was out but this kind of put me off bothering all together.
I'll be honest. Ergonomically I hate the damn thing. Always preferred the vita (yeah I'm one of those weirdos😏)Just to uncomfortable to hold and I've got fairly small hands for an adult. I only used mine as a Pokemon and Mario kart machine as I did with the previous generation of ds. It was only a couple of years ago I started to really get into collecting for it, hacked it and backed up all my physicals. Now I just play everything on an emulator in comfort.
Was never really a fan of the clamshell in all honesty. I only got the tribal one cause my L and R buttons broke on my original launch day gba. But a few decades and mods later that problem was solved.
Switch for the most part but as far as gba goes I prefer the original model with the backlit mod. Or an emulation machine which ya know has all my retro stuff on it.
Had stick drift with all 3 sets of my joycons. 2 sets of which are from launch. I just upgraded to hall effect thumbsticks and added a dpad so hopefully this will be the final solution.
As far as Wii goes I think they'll just keep porting stuff and charging full price. Probably more money that way. Same with 3ds to get around having to figure out the dual screen functionality.
Have a mixture of upgrading and repairing your own. And a few "ultimate" weapons for each type that are indestructible but require so many hoops to get them.
Nope it was the German rating board. But since the Nintendo Europe headquarters are in Germany it seems to have affected all pal regions for some weird reason.
@Dezzy70 Not the developers fault. It got banned in Germany where Nintendo Europe is located and as such all PAL territories were banned from a digital release too.
@Dezzy70 No it's NOT a cloud game. There's some pop in but after playing for 10 hours you just don't notice. There hasn't been any frame drops, it all just runs very smooth. Highly recommend it! As a side note if your in a PAL area like Europe or Australia you'll have to hunt down a physical cart. It's not available on the eShop.
@Dezzy70 Zombi u was one of my favourite games on the system. Always wished it was ported to the switch but I've got dying light now so it's not all bad!
@ATHFjman18 Yeah I was in the same boat a few years back. I got a couple of random third party knockoff ones that have been working quite well. Just got them off of eBay though. Multiple sellers have them.
From an emulation standpoint. You could pay $100 less and get an Ayn Odin pro. Which is capable of going up to GameCube. And fairly easy to set up too. Excellent streaming device as well.
Like the concept but it's way to late in the switches lifespan for this. I've got to many bloody controllers already. And can somebody release regular size joycons with a dpad and hall sensor sticks please? It would be the ideal solution for travel quite frankly.
@burninmylight To be honest I'd say the psp version is the best way to play ff4. It has the extras from the GBA but has the after years and an exclusive story to bridge the gap in the middle. Good package all round.
The switch is my main console let alone handheld. I want a handheld PC but at the moment most of them have pretty poor battery life and are too bulky. So I'll just wait patiently to see what the PC market comes up with.

The main thing they need to stick to is the hybrid format. Up the power, concentrate on backwards compatibility and we're good.
