Does it include the japanese voices? Can see them shrinking the file size with newer compression. But can also see them ripping out the voice packs for other languages. Now if we can download the missing ones then that's fine.
And yeah, would love to be able to disable some music tracks. Really loathe the night music in the city. Dunno how that track was added because it doesn't fit any of the other music and feels so damn forced into the game.
Will wait and see what, if any extra content is added. How censorship is being handled regards to costumes, and if it is censored then I'll wait further to see what the modding community comes up with. If they can fix it then I'll buy it. Otherwise I might as well stick with the WiiU version....
Also if this works on Switch 2, or if there will be a separate version for Switch 2, then I might as well wait for that too. Seems weird to release this now, when switch is about to die if it doesn't work on switch 2. But then again this is nintendo we're talking about so having them release it again at full price for switch 2 wouldn't surprise me with their insane levels of greed.
Baldurs Gate 3 got my vote for sure. TotK is pretty forgettable once you got past the sandbox stuff. The rest of the game is meh and just a repeat of BotW.
Speaking of outfits, is there a transmog option i totk? Only found the colour changing so far. And some other cosmetic stuff like the sun shirt thingy from the beach village. But bad stats and can't upgrade it so just an item that will never be used...
770 to upgrade each armour piece quickly adds up, not to mention you have to buy several armour pieces. So yeah, this is awesome for those wanting to actually play the game and not grind for hours upon hours.
@Max_the_German
Various reasons, one of the bigger ones is that people don't have time to grind for hours upon hours to upgrade armour.
Or, given the games sandbox nature, people just want to have fun with building and exploring, not grinding hours upon hours...
Since it's a SP game then who cares, let people play it how they want. Honestly Nintendo should add a proper sandbox mode where you can freely spawn whatever you want. And they should adjust prices in the game for people that don't have as much time as others.
Repeated grinding is not about skill, it's just a time sink. A way to artificially bloat the "play time" for a game.
Why yes, Zelda is such a huge game, I spent 200 hours in it! Amazing! Except 190 of those was killing the same mobs over and over again for enough items to upgrade armour....
The fuse system is fun for the first hour or so, after that it gets tedious whenever you find a new weapon. Having to spend time fusing it to make the most of it.
6 for me, too much of a rehash from botw. It would have been better as an expansion for botw then a whole new game.
The whole build/fuse system is fun, for the first hour or so. After it becomes tedious having to fuse every weapon you find, making the already annoying weapon handling system worse.
Also way too many frame drops, any area heavy with vegetation really shows the age of switch.
Which engine does CoD use these days? Considering that some engines work just fine being scaled down to Switch, Like Unreal 5, IDtech and Redengine. So could definitely see it being possible. Or is the CMA expecting the same graphical fidelity as xbox and ps? If so then they are the wrong group to decide this as they have no idea how games / hardware works....
And this is why you always release your games on PC, because then they'll always live on (unless of course they have an always-online function...).
Hoping to see their games on GoG in the future. Until then there's always roms... Pirates do more for game preservation than the developers themselves. Imagine how many games, movies and music that would be lost if it wasn't for pirates... Old TV shows where the original copies are gone, because the studio wanted to save some money so they actually re-used and taped over old shows.... But thanks to a pirate that recorded it on tv with a vhs player it can live on.
Looks good, hopefully less rpg and wasted time running around like in the school one. But think it's time to get rid of the "baggage" with the old FE characters that keeps coming back in one way or another...
@Cheez Aye, I'd go as far as only release a new character/toy every other month. With it being towards kids it should be something they can actually afford with their allowance. And no special editions... Got way too crazy at the end with various specials only being sold in this or that store so people drove around like crazy to get them... Just keep the normal ones.
They were great back in WiiU time as it felt like most games had support for them. Seems to have really dropped during the Switch era.. Think I've only used them on BotW on the Switch.
On the topic I'd like to see Skylanders make a come back. But focus more on making games and less releasing a new toy line-up each year.
Scary how many people are siding with the corpos here... Or how indifferent people are....
Like the gaming industry isn't bad enough with all the sexual harassment, toxic work environments and forced crunch... Now you people just straight up think people shouldn't be payed enough for their work? Insane...
Might be better to just skip this until it's out on streaming/blue-ray and wait for someone to dub over Chris with a proper voice. Which I'm certain will happen, unless the Internet pulls another Sonic and forces them to remake it before release.
@SwitchForce Seriously? The game cards that the games come on, that are so expensive, sold by nintendo, that they publishers rather use the 16gb or 8gb instead of 32gb or 64gb and then put the rest of the files on the net.
@Timptation If Nintendo ditches the SD card slot and adds an m.2 slot instead then it doesn't matter much if you have to download additional files. But yeah, would be better if Nintendo stopped being greedy and lowered the price of the memory cards...
@GrailUK Depends, the one copy of the game that got out in the wild. If the person that got it payed for it then it's all above board. If they did steal it then yes, it's theft. As for anyone downloading the rom, that's a bit more murky. Most of those people would never buy the game anyways. Nor a switch. They are just downloading this to piss off nintendo fans right now. So no money lost there. You'll also have a some that will enjoy the game and end up buying it legit for the online features. Media always downplays this when talking about piracy...
In the end the devs will still make lots of money on this game, same with Nintendo. Piracy is such a small number but they love to blow it out of proportions, then they do have something to blame for bad games, movies, music etc when they don't sell.
Was really hoping Gadget, Monterey Jack and Zipper would have bigger parts in it. Seems they'll only be shown briefly based on the trailer. (looked up the cast and they are in it).
@UglyCasanova Nintendo has had several years to address the hardware issue of the joycons and release new fixed version, as well as repair the old ones. But they haven't.... It's been pretty clear for a long while now that Nintendo doesn't care about the users, mostly because people will continue to buy their faulty stuff anyways...
I'd like to know how much it actually costs Nintendo to keep these services running. Because server hosting and storage is cheaper than ever. And also there wouldn't be as much load on these services as there was back when the wiiu and 3ds were new. So could scale it down a fair bit.
Anyhoo, I'll grab an emulator and download all the games I've bought and run it on pc from now on.
Switch mini, flip up and the size like 3ds. The current switches are too big.
And then make a 'Switch 2 U' for home use. Yes I'm a fan of Wii U(and 3DS), and sad that it went away. For me the current Switch is a bit meh since it's like the other consoles.
Of course Nintendo is working on a more powerful Switch, though it might not be released as a Switch but perhaps a Switch 2 depending on how it'll work with compatibility and when it's actually ready.
And of course Nintendo will claim they aren't working on it, as otherwise the sales for the current Switch and the new oled version will plummet. Especially with the upcoming Christmas sales.
I liked the first game, but too much was changed for the second one that I couldn't get into it. Also just bugged me that we couldn't change armours...
Switch is too big for a handheld for me, 3DS was great with the folded form so could put it in your pocket and not scratch the screen. So would like a 3DS-2.
But doubt it, since it would compete with the switch.
Been hoping Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric would be released on PC now that WiiU is gone. But probably still locked under some stupid license deal with Nintendo.
If it's just an output upgrade then no, doesn't seem worth it this far into the switch's life cycle. If it's actual performance upgrades and new games have more fidelity with new one then maybe... Depends on the games. But for graphical third party titles I'll go with PC anyways.
But will probably hold on until "switch 2" will be out unless the old one breaks before that. And hopefully Nintendo will have backwards compatibility for switch games. MS really raised the bar on this one in the console world.
Rather sickening that people are defending Nintendo for this. "Everyone that wanted the game has it by now" Yeah... no, not everyone can afford the full price of games all willy nilly. Even more so given the situation in the world at the moment.
Loosing jobs, homes.. But hey, gotta prioritise that limited game! More important then food! Imagine being a parent with kids that want this game and this is how Nintendo treats them..

Re: Bravely Default Is Finally Freed From Its 3DS Prison, Coming To Switch 2 At Launch
It's weird to not release it on Switch 1, and it can surely fit on the cartridge....
So nah, will wait and see if they do a PC release like BD2.

Re: Zelda's Voice Actor Would "Love" To Reprise Her Role In The Live-Action Movie
Nope, if they are gonna do a live action movie then looks are the most important. And she doesn't fit the characters looks.
Which will also make Link a really hard character to cast...
Should just use a woman for him, like pretty much all cosplayers do.
Re: Level-5's New Fantasy Life Game Has Been Delayed Until 2024
Tin foil hat on! They are delaying it and making it a Switch 2 launch title!
Which a lot of devs are probably thinking about, not having to cripple their games to get them to run on the age:ing Switch.
Re: Random: AMOLED 3DS Concept Shown Off At Tokyo Game Show 2023
Yes please, go back to the 3DS format. Switch is not a viable portable format.

Really hope this goes away in the next game.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom: All Armour Locations And Best Armour Sets
Bummer the gerudo outfit didn't make it from botw, guessing Nintendo axed it because of all the art n so on people made about Link in it
