Although the YouTube channel Waikuteru was recently targeted by Nintendo, it's somewhat recovered and is back at it sharing more videos about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 'Second Wind' expansion mod.
In case you need a refresher - this is a "free large-scale DLC" community-made mod for Breath of the Wild that adds in new quests, areas, weapons, bosses, and overhauls existing content. The latest clip shared by Waikuteru shows off the "Moon Slayer Set mod" created by 'Lylah' - the lead developer of Second Wind. Here's the rundown:
"it's a mod done by a Second Wind lead developer and is planned to be integrated into Second Wind in the near future, it's already clarified as part of Second Wind in the mod description on Gamebanana, because the Lunar Lynel is featuring some aspects of it. However, this Moon Slayer Lynel is different - first of all it looks awesome, it has 9001 HP and the weapons are just awesome. They are pretty unique, and that bow is shooting x5 Light Arrows at the same time with a new animation too"
This additional content for the Second Wind mod will be released in the near future. Once again though, this is a fan-made project and is not officially sanctioned by Nintendo.
What do you think of all this extra content for Breath of the Wild made by fans of the game? Tell us below.
this feels a bit too over the top, the dragon ball meme reference isn't doing any favors
Looks pretty cool, and I respect the creators of it a ton for doing all this, but I fear that no one’s going to even be paying attention to it once the sequel drops, which is a bit sad.
The next update needs to be called "Broken Wind"
After that comes "Broken Wind Requiem"
Light arrows? How much damage do they do? It sounds very challenging.
Gohan yeah good thing, this will be cease and desisted in short order no doubt
I am a total idiot when it comes to tech.... How would one play or download content like this? I assume you need a PC?
@skycargav2000 you need powerful pc.
Ugggg. It's all early monig and I thought it was legitimate Zelda news.
I downloaded it with my phone.
You need to use an alternative OS from the one on the Switch.
I think that's about all I can say without my comment getting deleted.
Golly jee, another mod showcase! Wow thanks Nintendo life! Can you please forward me to an article that shows you how to install this mod?
Without making this accessible and easy to use, what's the point of talking about it? All it's gonna do is make people look up bad ways to mod their switch and likely brick it in the end.
When will this guy learn
I would love to play Zelda mods, but I only have botw on my switch so I am unaware how I would get a mod on there, I will probably just Google it.
They best be behind 25 proxies.
Does that mean it's good for 9000 swings before it breaks?
By the low reply count maybe they will stop posting these mod articles every couple of days! Dang I added another..
@Jayvir The only way to brick your Switch is to intentionally mess up a bunch of stuff.
Nintendo should review this content and offer it to Switch players as DLC while giving shares of profits to these creative minds.
@Jayvir because it is accessible and easy to use. Its basically copy and pasting and booting up you're emulator of choice. Why do need to mod your switch
@Marianne just download a rom and use CEMU on PC. You dont really have to mod anything
They are some good and bad. Some are hard and some aren't worth having.
@diwdiws ah okay thank you!
@somebread yeah it's pretty childish
Nice, looks awesome. Hopefully one day nintendo will embrace the modding community.
