When my weekend starts I'll most likely continue playing through Sifu (Switch). I already beat it with both endings but I'm so addicted to the gameplay I just love playing through the levels over and over again. For whatever reason the 'Arenas' just don't do it for me.
I'll also continue Zelda Skyward Sword (Switch). I'm not a Zelda guy by a long shot but always respected everything about it. So far it's pretty good but I just haven't had the time to really dig into it. The controls are taking time to get used to but I'm sure I'll adjust in time.
North America all the way (very biased here)! This game was by far the most played in my household back in the day. Between my brothers and I we had intense battles for high scores. One of my older brothers though used to dominate it so much that he always made it a mission to make sure the scores were only his name. This needs to come to NSO!
When my weekend starts I plan on continuing my kung fu fighting adventures in Sifu (Switch). Man this game has its hooks into me good. The more I play the better I'm getting however you have to always stay on your toes regardless. If you get over-confident even a few low level thugs can surround you and it's lights out. I beat the game last weekend but now I'm motivated to go for the true ending and sparing all the bosses. I did the first one with no deaths (took a lot of tries) so hoping I can do the 2nd boss the same (if not only 1 or 2 deaths) because the 3rd boss will definitely be a monumental task. Her freaking blade combos are brutal to navigate!
I finally picked up Sifu (Switch) on a good sale last week so I hope to continue my kung fu fighting adventures (or getting my @ss handed to me). This game is so awesome and addicting. I love the constant challenge it throws at you. The game can make you feel overconfident at times then you get surrounded by low level thugs that just pummel you to death. You need to stay on your toes and constantly thinking strategy regardless of how much you want to unleash your inner Bruce Lee on a big group. In an instant it's all over. A great, unexpected thrill.
After finishing up Princess Peach Showtime this week (and taking a few days off to recover from a vasectomy ) I've finally moved onto Sifu (Switch). It's been on my backlog for a long time and picked it up during its current sale of 60% off. This game is dope however it's hard as nails! Even the lowest goons give me a good spanking. I've read and watched some beginner tips on YouTube so this game looks like it'll be an investment. Not a quick laid-back experience like I just had with Princess Peach.
Mortal Kombat Trilogy all the way! That was by far my most favorite and most played MK game to date! What I loved about the N64 version was how OP'd and broken Sub Zero was. In the N64 they combined the old and new Sub Zero into one character, so he had all moves and combos of both.
Man, I really must be from a different era of gaming. All I care about is the game fun. Some of my most favorite games from the last year or so have been indies with graphics from the mid 2000s or later. Bells and whistles are nice and all but if the game isn't fun then they mean nothing. Just make it fun, Nintendo, and my money is yours
Also, would like Prime 2 & 3 to get some sort of Switch release so I can play through those beforehand.
@PKDuckman Eh, it's just my two cents which in the grand scheme of things means nothing. Don't let me keep you up at night I'm a complete nobody. I have nothing against you or your stance.
I was just coming from what is common to see nowadays. Especially on the click bait farms. Not saying it's right or wrong. It will do the usual rounds. Whack the beehive and then fade away.
Let's be honest Nintendo Life is loving this because it's generating traffic for ad revenue. It's why they posted it and we all just go at it like moths to flame. When bills are due and/or the higher ups tell them to there will be another article for us to do this all over again. Maybe I'll see you there
While I'm sure there are at least some out there trolling just to troll. The problem for me is being the internet you can easily create anything with social media via sock puppet accounts, having other people you know troll you, you respond, they "troll back", you use go back to your sock puppet account to whack the beehive again, rinse and repeat.
It's a good way to create whatever narrative and most especially attention you want. Especially when it comes to selling something. There are actually various PR firms that have armies (literally, ARMIES) of bots that can do whatever you pay them to do. Anything from puffing you up to putting you down to work with the algorithms.
I knew someone at the gym that owned a private firm that did that for influencers especially in the fitness industry. Besides boosting follower numbers, you work with these firms to give you praise or "bully" you so then you can "clap back" at the haters and work those algorithms. If you do it right you can draw attention from the click bait farms like Yahoo, Buzzfeed, Vice, etc. for them to have some hack "journalist" make an article about you owning "the haters" or what an "inspiration" you are.
The "body positivity" influencer category is saturated with that. Celebrities do it all the time, too. If you go on Yahoo or any of those other click bait farms it's all you see. It's a machine of working algorithms as long as you got the green in your wallet.
So, with that while I don't doubt he may have received some trolling. I mean, welcome to the real world. However, this dude is selling something and race baiting used to be very lucrative. The small issue is it's not the "Summer of Love 2020" anymore and the average Joe has moved on. Perhaps if he was Israeli or something that might have generated more but even the media is slowing down on that (like how the Ukraine war went to the back burner).
Didn't Rocky say something about "It's not how hard you hit. It's about how hard you get hit and keep moving forward." Maybe he should ignore the keyboard warriors and live life. Unless he paid some PR firm and/or using the sock puppet accounts then by all means best of luck to you, dude.
When my weekend starts I'm finally hoping to wrap up the last expansion "Tales of Valor" from the Company of Heroes Collection. That game is such a gem.
@Warioware They can cherry pick all they want but whatever it is it will NEVER be what it originally was. It will be what Disney wants it to be. It's just the character/situation in a skin suit.
@jojobar There was a time almost anything video game Star Wars was money in the bank. Even the mediocre games had enough to get some fun out of it despite any issues (mostly). Especially the ones where you could see the teams involved put a lot of love into it. Besides the diehard Star Wars fans, the games would attract a good amount of the normies and casuals. As long as there was just the right amount of fun the games would stand on their own. It wasn't necessary to spend millions of dollars in marketing because the games sold themselves.
Nowadays there's virtually no enthusiasm coming from any corner especially even the supposed remaining "diehards". You see the millions of dollars in marketing, yet the game will release and just fade out. Even if it's good it has no legs. There's little conversation and community behind them. 15 plus years ago if you told me this is what would happen to Star Wars I'd call you nuts. And this is coming from a former hardcore fan that used to be OBSESSED with the Expanded Universe and lore. Now I see it all as a past life and just moved on. Every time I do a random check of where it's all at now, I don't get mad I just shake my head in apathy.
Anyone want to take bets on whether there will be any conversation and/or anything trending of this game by July 4th? I'm betting by then it will be forgotten. Maybe I'm being too harsh. Definitely won't last the summer for sure.
I bet this guy was a teacher's nightmare during his K-12 years...I bet the "Mr. Strickland's" of his schools called him a slacker a lot. Who's laughing now!?
After finishing Blast Corps on the N64 app I decided to circle back to Company of Heroes Collection and complete the expansions. Currently in the middle of the "Opposing Fronts" campaign. I'm trying so hard to just keep on the backlog and not get stuck on any "forever" games. For shorter sessions I do still fire up Balatro (have most decks unlocked) and Hades. All I really have left to do in Hades is purchasing House items but it's always such a fun game to do a random run.
So crazy that I remember borrowing Alleyway from a neighborhood friend back in the day. Never thought of that game again till now. I believe I put some time into that game.
I'm still waiting for Kirby's Pinball Land. Give it to me, you cowards!
Never would have imagined the level of success this series would achieve back when I started on Monster Hunter Tri (Wii). It's been a blast staying with the franchise since then. I'm really trying this time to retire (last game was Sunbreak) from the franchise due to it always completely taking over my gaming time and my backlog just grows and grows.
I have to admit I'm really confused here. So let me get this straight. I feel like the Switch is getting smacked in the back of the head unnecessarily. A medium to below average game is ported to Switch yet the Switch is taking the heat for not being "up to par" for this below average game. I could understand more if it was some super highly anticipated GOTY consumer demanded title and we were given a lemon but that is far from the case. There's something that just isn't adding up for me. Oh well.
I feel like now that there's some sort of confirmation of the "next big hardware" the Switch is going to get backhanded for any type of perceived problem with virtually any game going forward. I've definitely noticed the shift in the narratives now for Switch games. Any issues (that can also exist and have existed for generations on other platforms) will come down to "the next hardware will solve everything wrong with this game" and/or "should have just waited, gosh!".
To each their own. I got my Switch in summer 2018 and it's been by far one of the best purchases of my life (besides my car cause obviously I need to get around). My backlog is never ending! I've told my fiancée my Switch is my mistress. If any "Weird Science" magic turns my Switch into a hot woman I'm so running away with her.
When my weekend starts (Monday) I'll try to wrap up the Switch Lara Croft Collection. I finished the first game last week and should be getting close to finishing the second game. Those games really surprised me. Nothing groundbreaking just simple fun.
Once I wrap that up I need to decide do I continue the backlog like I've been doing or circling back to Company of Heroes Collection and finishing the expansions. I had a blast with the main campaign but got kinda burned out about 3 missions into the Opposing Fronts campaign. Those games are huge time sinks so I just moved on but occasionally it nags me that I never finished the expansions. I don't know the main campaign was so engaging but Opposing Fronts just felt kinda "meh" and by the numbers. "We're being attacked over here, send help!" followed by "Oh no! We're under attack over here, send help!". We'll see how I feel when I finish up Lara Croft.
@Serpenterror If only we had the Super Star Wars Trilogy in the eShop.
Oh hell yeah I'm with you! I was obsessed with all 3 games when I was a kid even though they didn't make any sense in terms of story. LOL as a wee kid when I played Super Star Wars I remember thinking I don't remember in the movie Luke going on a murderous rampage on the Jawas or even Han Solo becoming an active shooter in Mos Eisley Spent a lot of 'home sick from school' days on those games
I've been hoping they'll do something similar to the "Cowabunga Collection" and release all the NES, Game Boy, and SNES on one big collection. I actually put a good amount of time on the NES and Game Boy Star Wars games too. They were SO HARD but I still put many hours into them just to constantly die and try again. It was definitely a different time in those days. If they ever did this it would be an instant buy for me. But if not I'll take the Super Trilogy in a heartbeat.
I feel like anything now can become a lifestyle brand of some sort. I work at a theme park so I see all the trends of fashion and pretty much ANYTHING you can think of is slapped on any kind of apparel and sold. From socks to drawstring backpacks, etc. It's like the more obscure the I.P. the cooler you are and what it's put on. So many 80's and 90's movies are put on sweatpants, beanies, lunch boxes, etc. It goes on and on.
If anyone thought the band KISS were ridiculous I'd say they were ahead of their time.
Man, these rumors. At this rate until actual a reveal of some sort I'm expecting to hear the "Switch 2" will be able to do your taxes. That should be a joke but I'm sure someone will believe it and debate it.
Wow I haven't thought of Extreme G in decades. I remember renting it at least once (maybe more?) back in the day but I honestly can't remember if I liked it or not. I'm going to go with I probably did so I'll have to check it out to verify.
On a side note though I do remember as a kid the commercial for this game pumping me up. If I remember correctly there was a deep voice (similar to the 1080 guy) that would say "Extreme G" throughout the commercial while it showed game footage. Such a random memory to have
Interesting. SwitchUp gave it a rather favorable review including the typical Switch setbacks but still claimed you'll have a good time. Oh well to each their own I guess.
I gotta say something else though in regards to a good chunk of the comments. I turn 40 in a couple months so I've been through a lot of game generations and most especially the "Golden Era" of gaming. They say history repeats itself. Couldn't be more true in this case on this site. All I see now is how the "Switch 2" is going to be the "All Saviour Second Coming of Christ" and we need it now and everything we gripe about for "Switch 1" will be solved once "Switch 2" descends from the heavens (I'm not religious just using it to add some punch). It totally reminds me of my early years of high school. All of us kids were on our knees waiting for that Playstation 2 and it's "Emotion Engine" because it was being preached that it could be the last system you'll ever need (complete with a DVD player!!!! Oh baby!!). When that first kid got one a whole gang of us squeezed into his room after school and our jaws dropped at what we were seeing (got more nuts once we put in the DVD of "Fast & Furious 1" on his mid sized tube TV ) Went through something similar a wee bit earlier with the N64 (our household was the 1st on the block to get it so we were the cool kids for a while). Don't even get me started when another kid got an "Alienware" desktop for Xmas. That little b@stard talked SOOOO much trash on us console gamers in those days because he claimed he was set for life while the rest of us would forever be behind him.
The point is I just can't help but just literally see history repeat itself for every freaking system cycle. The next one is going to solve all problems of this one. Rinse. Repeat. Rinse. Repeat. I cannot wait to see this site once the next Nintendo thing releases and there's that grace period of "We've been saved!!!". LOL the first sign of a single frame hiccup and then we go right back to square one.
Nothing against anyone it's just an observation as I age into the next age group . These companies depend on us salivating at the mouth so we throw our money at whatever they give us to keep this cycle going. I've mentioned in previous posts my backlog on Switch is so big I could spend years hacking at it while I keep adding more. If I was told the Switch would be last system I'd be so relieved. But I know one way or another I'll be transferring this backlog to the next Nintendo Whatever.
Got it. First time I ever earned a theme on the first match. I always try to win but I usually approach these events with the attitude of "we'll see if I can knock this out in 3-5 matches". I was just really zoned in apparently and didn't notice I was in the top 5 and then victory. It was over so quickly so I did another match and won again. That one then unlocked the icon of "win 3 matches in a row" so I must have won the last match I played whenever that was before these 2 back to back victories. Go me!
@Vriess I saw your comment and I'm totally in your corner. I'm going to repost a comment I left a few weeks back on a Nintendo Life article about the elusive "Switch 2". Should sum up my agreement with you:
"I'm going to be that guy and say by all means Nintendo take as long as you want. My backlog is so stacked I'll be good for the next 2 years at the rate I'm getting through them. I breathe that big sigh of relief every quarter there is no announcement of the next system. Although I get stressed immediately after that no announcement because my backlog grows again with every Direct by at least 3 games...
You guys all drive me nuts sometimes. How do you all do it? How do you all foam at the mouth for the next expensive piece of hardware JUST to continue having a backlog on another hunk of plastic and computer chips? We ALL have backlogs of some form. Some more massive than others and across multiple platforms. I'm just a Switch guy and as I age out of my prime (turn 40 this year) my gaming time keeps getting smaller and smaller. Takes me months to get through something that you'll talk about burning through in a weekend.
Don't get me wrong I'm eagerly looking forward to what Nintendo has up it's sleeve for the 'next big thing' but I have so many games I'm trying to play on the "now" system the idea of getting pumped up for that 'next big thing' causes me some anxiety. Maybe it's just me and I'm aging out."
@trymer89 Saw your comment and just had to drop in. I totally agree with you. This game came out of nowhere for me and it's now one of my favorite games. I've never been a big Harry Potter guy. Only seen the movies and being a Universal Hollywood pass holder, I frequent the land every time I go. Always respected the franchise. Nothing more. I was in the mood for something different and not normally my go to genre of game. I went out on limb for Hogwarts Legacy because it actually reviewed well on Switch. Totally took me by surprise. Such an adventure and I was hooked from the beginning. I understand some of the criticisms it receives like being more on the easy side and not as complex as typical open world RPGs. However, what mattered most to me is having a good time and oh damn did I have a blast
They see the writing on the wall and know their value. Hence, they're getting the F#ck out of Dodge while they still can. Hopefully this inspires others to consider this option instead of weathering the storm and hoping they make it through one day at a time.
This update is probably my fault. I had "Blazing Saddles" on the TV the other day while playing my Switch in handheld. Probably gave the Nintendo censors a heart attack.
Hey, American Companies (and some outside), pay attention you could learn something.
This is what happens when a company doesn't divide and attack their loyal paying customers. This is what happens when a company doesn't chase after social media clout and audiences that don't give you money in the end. This is what happens when a company doesn't ride the "current thing" and force feed the audience of nonsense that's completely outside your lane.
Bottom line. Nintendo is an entertainment Company. That's what they do. That's what they did. Simple.
I'm going to be that guy and say by all means Nintendo take as long as you want. My backlog is so stacked I'll be good for the next 2 years at the rate I'm getting through them. I breathe that big sigh of relief every quarter there is no announcement of the next system. Tropical Freeze will be forever placed in my personal "Mount Rushmore" of platformers (and possibly games in general). That game never stopped being such a blast. It NEVER felt like a slog and/or "gotta get through this part so I can get to something better". It did such an amazing job of challenging me and making me pumped up for the next level. Once I 100% all the levels I was actually bummed out it was all over. And that doesn't happen very often.
Being a pass holder I'll definitely be checking it out soon! Freaking Universal is really going for it in their Parks. Pretty soon they'll be marketing the Fast & Furious coaster which looks to be something insane.
Oh man I'm so evil I couldn't stop laughing while watching that video. There's just something to when I hear that language spoken out loud that just makes me laugh Like someone is doing a parody of another language.
Back on topic I can't wait to see the finished product. Looks interesting and kudos to Universal for pushing new ideas while still using old standards.
As usual work will get in the way of my gaming time till my "weekend" starts on Monday (days off are Mon-Tues). Once I knock out the usual house errands and dreaded "honey do list" I get down on my Switch and some beer.
So once I boot up the Switch I'll continue bouncing back and forth between Hogwarts Legacy and Hades. I rolled the credits on Hades a while back but I'm still so hooked on continuing the side stories and wrapping up the loose ends. Hogwarts is just so damn engrossing in it's own right that once I start that one the hours of the day just fly by
My gaming time will be a mixed bag between having to work and Christmas festivities (and boozing!). Whatever Switch gaming I can squeeze in it will be a mix between Hades and Hogwarts Legacy. I picked up Hogwarts on a discount and it has completely absorbed me into its world. Did not expect that and I'm not even a big Potter fan. Just seen the movies and frequent Universal Hollywood being a pass member. This game could seriously make visiting the land at Universal mean a lot more than it used to .
@JohnnyMind I gotta be honest reading your post gave me mad anxiety. How do you manage all those games?? I stress out just splitting my time between 2 games. For example right now it's bugging me that right before I picked up Hogwarts I was splitting between Hades and Company of Heroes Collection. I beat the main campaign of CoH and started one of the expansions but now Hogwarts just dominated my attention. LOL it's nagging at me I still have lots to do in CoH but I have to constantly tell myself it's all good I at least did the main campaign and could someday return to finish the rest. I couldn't imagine doing that across many games.
Finally, been waiting for the calendar! All month I've been looking at the 2013 one wondering when they'll release the next one. The ornament will go perfect with our tree. It will go between the previous Xmas Super Mario ornament and my Megadeth ornament
Please keep these events coming. Love this game so much. Wish I had more time to play it but during the pandemic I got real good with it. Even without these events the game itself is nothing less than stellar.
I wish I had more time to play this. I do like it but with my limited time along with my dedication to staying on the backlog I just don't have any time for it
I remember thinking during my time in the 'Golden Era' of gaming (mid 90's to earlier-ish 2000's) what the future of this era is going to be like when it's already this amazing. I never would have thought it's all about live service games, microtransactions, waiting for the 'it's good now' patch, etc. I understand things inevitably change but never could have expected this.
But things can also swing back in unexpected ways. Don't forget there was a short lived era when MMO's were considered the future and there was basically a new one every 3 months. That bubble burst fast and one by one they closed down and/or became F2P but eventually died for good. I believe the era of Battle Royals is coming close to bursting if it hasn't already. There will always be a few remain but so many have come and gone just in the last 3 years alone.
I don't know maybe I'm overthinking it and going way out in left field on the subject. I've seen so many trends come and go but I have to admit this era of live service, nickel and diming, hard push on quick dopamine hits does have me a bit worried this might be here for the longer haul. At least as long as Nintendo stays the course and indie studies keep pumping out bangers that remind us older gamers why we got into this in the first place I think we'll be alright (games like Hades and Everspace have recently reminded me there's still game makers out there that are on our side).
@ChameleonBros Ken Griffey 64 was pretty good but our household were more into the All Star Baseball/2000 games from Acclaim (I think?). We preferred that one because it had a more 'realistic' approach to baseball and the graphics for its time were mind blowing.
I forgot about Internation Superstar Soccer! We rented that one a lot but Fifa Road to World Cup 98 was our real jam
Ah Tecmo Bowl My brothers and I played the hell out of Tecmo Super Bowl 3 for SNES. Seriously we'd play for many hours especially when we had friends over. There was something to that game that was just so fun football!
Yes exactly what @ozwally just said CoH Collection NEEDS to be added. I'm in the middle of it right now and it's a blast. Had it back in the day however I only played the multiplayer so it's freaking cool that having it on Switch has allowed me to play the campaign. The controls are taking me a little more time to get used to however the more I play the better I'm appreciating what they came up with to make it work best. Good stuff!

Didn't Rocky say something about "It's not how hard you hit. It's about how hard you get hit and keep moving forward." Maybe he should ignore the keyboard warriors and live life. Unless he paid some PR firm and/or using the sock puppet accounts then by all means best of luck to you, dude.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st June)
When my weekend starts I'm finally hoping to wrap up the last expansion "Tales of Valor" from the Company of Heroes Collection. That game is such a gem.
Re: Star Wars: Hunters Gameplay Trailer Showcases Game Modes, Characters, Arenas And More
@Warioware They can cherry pick all they want but whatever it is it will NEVER be what it originally was. It will be what Disney wants it to be. It's just the character/situation in a skin suit.
Re: Nintendo Celebrates Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door With A Free Paper Airplane
@Maxz At first glance that looked like something Cheech & Chong would make.
Re: Star Wars: Hunters Gameplay Trailer Showcases Game Modes, Characters, Arenas And More
@jojobar There was a time almost anything video game Star Wars was money in the bank.
Re: Star Wars: Hunters Gameplay Trailer Showcases Game Modes, Characters, Arenas And More
Anyone want to take bets on whether there will be any conversation and/or anything trending of this game by July 4th? I'm betting by then it will be forgotten. Maybe I'm being too harsh. Definitely won't last the summer for sure.
Re: Nintendo Celebrates Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door With A Free Paper Airplane
I bet this guy was a teacher's nightmare during his K-12 years...I bet the "Mr. Strickland's" of his schools called him a slacker a lot. Who's laughing now!?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (25th May)
After finishing Blast Corps on the N64 app I decided to circle back to Company of Heroes Collection and complete the expansions.
Re: Random: Sakurai Cut Dolby Surround From Kirby Game To Trim Player Wait Time
Sometimes it's those little things that matter. Now, Sakurai, get to work on porting Kid Icarus: Uprising to Switch!
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Three More Classics
So crazy that I remember borrowing Alleyway from a neighborhood friend back in the day. Never thought of that game again till now. I believe I put some time into that game.
I'm still waiting for Kirby's Pinball Land. Give it to me, you cowards!
Re: Monster Hunter Series Surpasses 100 Million Sales After 20 Years
Never would have imagined the level of success this series would achieve back when I started on Monster Hunter Tri (Wii). It's been a blast staying with the franchise since then. I'm really trying this time to retire (last game was Sunbreak) from the franchise due to it always completely taking over my gaming time and my backlog just grows and grows.
Re: Square Enix To "Aggressively Pursue" Multiplatform Strategy, Includes "Nintendo Platforms"
In other words they're running out of money and it's time to pivot to profit.
Re: Review: Biomutant (Switch) - A Solid Action RPG Marred By A Muddy Port
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th May)
When my weekend starts (Monday) I'll try to wrap up the Switch Lara Croft Collection.
Re: Star Wars Day Switch eShop Sale, Up To 75% Off Multiple Games
Re: Spread The Balatro Love With This New Range Of Official Merchandise
I feel like anything now can become a lifestyle brand of some sort. I work at a theme park so I see all the trends of fashion and pretty much ANYTHING you can think of is slapped on any kind of apparel and sold. From socks to drawstring backpacks, etc. It's like the more obscure the I.P. the cooler you are and what it's put on. So many 80's and 90's movies are put on sweatpants, beanies, lunch boxes, etc. It goes on and on.
If anyone thought the band KISS were ridiculous I'd say they were ahead of their time.
Re: Rumour: 'Switch 2' Will Reportedly Feature Magnetic Joy-Cons
Man, these rumors. At this rate until actual a reveal of some sort I'm expecting to hear the "Switch 2" will be able to do your taxes. That should be a joke but I'm sure someone will believe it and debate it.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's N64 Library With Two More Titles
Wow I haven't thought of Extreme G in decades. I remember renting it at least once (maybe more?) back in the day but I honestly can't remember if I liked it or not. I'm going to go with I probably did so I'll have to check it out to verify.
On a side note though I do remember as a kid the commercial for this game pumping me up. If I remember correctly there was a deep voice (similar to the 1080 guy) that would say "Extreme G" throughout the commercial while it showed game footage. Such a random memory to have
Re: Review: Grounded (Switch) - Obsidian's Shrunk-Down Survival Adventure Struggles On Switch
Re: Nintendo Announces First Tetris 99 Maximus Cup Of 2024, Now Live
Go me!
Re: Soapbox: The Games Industry Needs To Give Up On Exclamation Marks!
Given the history of the old commercials it's way overdue for the next game in the series to be MORTAL KOMBAT!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (16th March)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (16th March)
Re: Saber Interactive Is Reportedly Splitting From Embracer Group
They see the writing on the wall and know their value. Hence, they're getting the F#ck out of Dodge while they still can. Hopefully this inspires others to consider this option instead of weathering the storm and hoping they make it through one day at a time.
Re: Nintendo Releases Update For Switch (Version 17.0.1), Here Are The Details
This update is probably my fault. I had "Blazing Saddles" on the TV the other day while playing my Switch in handheld. Probably gave the Nintendo censors a heart attack.
Re: Nintendo Is Currently The Richest Company In Japan
Hey, American Companies (and some outside), pay attention you could learn something.
This is what happens when a company doesn't divide and attack their loyal paying customers. This is what happens when a company doesn't chase after social media clout and audiences that don't give you money in the end. This is what happens when a company doesn't ride the "current thing" and force feed the audience of nonsense that's completely outside your lane.
Bottom line. Nintendo is an entertainment Company. That's what they do. That's what they did. Simple.
Re: Best Donkey Kong Games Of All Time
@Arcata Amen, brother (or sister or anything in between). Amen.

Re: Best Donkey Kong Games Of All Time
Tropical Freeze will be forever placed in my personal "Mount Rushmore" of platformers (and possibly games in general).
Re: Super Nintendo World Hollywood Powers Up With 1st Anniversary Celebrations
Being a pass holder I'll definitely be checking it out soon! Freaking Universal is really going for it in their Parks. Pretty soon they'll be marketing the Fast & Furious coaster which looks to be something insane.
Re: Palworld Modder Returns With 'Legally-Distinct Pocket Creatures'
@Waluigi451 Simple. It gets clicks and generates traffic for ad revenue. Once the well dries up they'll move onto something else.
Re: Microsoft Lays Off 1,900 Xbox, Bethesda And Activision Blizzard Employees
Uhhhh yeah I'm sure even Stevie Wonder saw this coming.
Re: Nintendo World's New Donkey Kong Ride Will Literally Send You Off The Tracks
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 6th)
Hogwarts is just so damn engrossing in it's own right that once I start that one the hours of the day just fly by
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (Christmas 2023 Edition)

Re: My Nintendo Store Adds Holiday And New Year Rewards (North America)
Finally, been waiting for the calendar! All month I've been looking at the 2013 one wondering when they'll release the next one. The ornament will go perfect with our tree. It will go between the previous Xmas Super Mario ornament and my Megadeth ornament
Re: Nintendo Announces The Final Tetris 99 Maximus Cups For 2023
Please keep these events coming. Love this game so much. Wish I had more time to play it but during the pandemic I got real good with it. Even without these events the game itself is nothing less than stellar.
Re: F-Zero 99 Update (Version 1.1.0) Adding New "Classic Race" Mode This Week
I wish I had more time to play this. I do like it but with my limited time along with my dedication to staying on the backlog I just don't have any time for it
Re: Random: More Kids Want In-Game Currency Over Physical Media This Holiday
Re: Nintendo Updates Switch Online's N64 Release Schedule
Sadly those days/games will never happen again.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Strategy Games
Yes exactly what @ozwally just said CoH Collection NEEDS to be added. I'm in the middle of it right now and it's a blast. Had it back in the day however I only played the multiplayer so it's freaking cool that having it on Switch has allowed me to play the campaign. The controls are taking me a little more time to get used to however the more I play the better I'm appreciating what they came up with to make it work best. Good stuff!
