I’d go for this. Recently beat FFVII on Switch (I’ve been trying to beat that game for 20+ years). Wouldn’t mind a physical edition to give FFVIII a crack.

The non-inverted camera controls in Sunshine have me a tad worried. That may well ruin it for me. I just can’t do non-inverted cameras.

The only two I need to complete my Zelda amiibo collection are Smash series Link and Ganondorf. It’s a shame that amiibo are pretty much a dead product now. I’ve enjoyed collecting them.

Metacritic Might as well do away with the ten point scale for user reviews. It’s always either a 10, from the mindless fanboys, or a 0, from the tantrum throwing man children.

His scores and ability to set them has never been in question. They were removed because he has been proven to have cheated on at least one occasion. If Guinness want to reinstate his legit scores, that’s their prerogative. The guy is still a proven cheater.

I’ve been waiting for this game for about 78 years I think. I can wait a couple more months.

I hope, when a player scores a goal, they still celebrate as if there is a crown going crazy. That'd be too funny not to watch.

How did Sega get it so right with the Mega Drive mini, but so wrong with this Game Gear mini. If it had a decent number of games I would definitely buy one.

If each one had all 16 games it, it'd still be a rip off. I think this is aimed at collectors rather than anyone who actually wants to play some Game Gear games.

I’ve got this on 3DS. The lack of analogue controls makes it very difficult to enjoy.

@JMR_Alden the special edition comes with a soundtrack CD (the only reason I actually bought it) and a survival backpack like the one you find in the game. It’s pretty dumb.

Call me crazy, but I’m kind of glad it’s full of janky technical issues. I love, LOVE, the PS2 games and their terrible frame rate, wonky controls and bad camera were all part of the low budget charm.

I got my special edition version today. I’m really enjoying it, mostly in spite of, but partly because of the technical issues.

I’d say it deserves a 6/10, because it offers such a unique (other than the earlier titles) gameplay experience. If you’re curious about it, maybe wait for it to go on sale.

This is Racing Apex, a game that was originally announced years ago (2015 I think) but has been in development hell ever since. They probably changed the name to get away from the stigma of vapourware it has. I’m just happy it’s finally coming out, I’ve been looking forward to it since it was first revealed

What a coincidence, I just bought the GameBoy cart a week or so ago. Haven’t had a chance to try it yet though.

Will these games ever be release in Europe on a proper games console?

Between this and Racing Apex, I thought we had a full on arcade racing revival on our hands. Which would have been amazing, because I love those kinds of games. I hope they both eventually see a release.

@sikthvash nothing nostalgic about my love for the series. I played them for the first time only about a year ago. You’re totally right about the B-Movie vibe though.

Remember the purple and yellow chairs in the Smash direct? Often, people will believe something for no other reason than they want it to be true.

I love this series. The thing about them is, they’re really not very good when it comes to production values. Bad animations, bad sound effects, bad controls, bad writing etc. But there is something totally unique about those games that makes them really compelling. That’s why I have preordered the special edition.

I just hope this entry lives up to the really wonky, borderline broken but fun/hilarious legacy of the series.

I have owned every single piece of Nintendo hardware with the exception of the Virtual Boy and the only one I’ve had a problem with is an N64 that I tried to mod and broke in the process (obviously, not Nintendo’s fault).

I’ve had a Sega Saturn, two Dreamcasts, an original Xbox, two Xbox 360s, a PS1 and a PS2 break on me. Never a piece of Nintendo hardware.

I voted Nintendo Touch Golf. It is, no joke, my favourite Nintendo DS game.

The 3DS will live forever. Viva la 3DS!!

I’m fine with this. September was going to be an expensive month, now it’s not so bad.

I’ve had an eye on this one for a while. It looks like it could be good. The dev has a track good record. Also, they’re called VD Dev, and they’re French. Brilliant.

OMG!! This is amazing. I’m so excited about this. Coincidentally, I’m playing through the first game on PS2 at the moment. All I need now is a HD port of the third game. Day made.

In my head Wonder Boy, Monster World and Alex Kidd are all the same series. Also, Virtua Racing! That’s a day one get for me. Can’t wait to play that one

Now that is a stone cold amazing line up of games. Plenty of all time classics, a good handful of lesser known but still great games and a healthy dose of those rare/expensive collectors items that most mortals will never get to own.

And M2 on emulation duty? This will totally blow Nintendo’s mini consoles out of the water. I can’t wait

I’m sure I’m the only person who cares, but those Japanese Rail Sim 3D games aren’t on sale at all when I go to the 3DS eShop. What gives?

I remember this as being distinctly average. It strikes me as an odd choice for the HD remaster treatment. Where’s my SOS: The Final Escape remaster?

This is great news. But please, PLEASE tell me you can turn achievements off. Or at least turn off the notifications for them. I can’t stand them.

I imported a physical copy from America for the 3DS. It’s still in my pile of shame, haven’t touched it once. One day, maybe. I did listen to the soundtrack CD that came with it though. That soundtrack is fantastic. A great mix of electronic sounds and strings. I loved that.

I’m not even slightly upset about this, it is a free update after all. But bloody hell, it’s five years since it’s original release of Shovel Knight. I wonder how long it will take them when they finally start making something new.

I’m seriously considering this one. I’ve only ever played Untold 1 and I enjoyed it, but not enough to see it trough to the end. Has the series changed significantly since Untold?

This is such a non statement. Nintendo have ALWAYS got something in development they haven’t announced that would please fans.

I hope we get one or two more rounds of Ninty Selects for 3DS here in Europe. There’s a few games I’d like, but I’m not quite willing to pay full price for. Miitopia, Poochy & Yoshi and maybe Final Fantasy Explorers.

@ALinkttPresent this is exactly why I bought it when it went into the selects range here in Europe. It’s a fun Mario Adventure even if you completely ignore all the stage creation stuff, which I did.

I love the 3DS and I never want it to end!! Seriously though, I still play my 3DS a lot. I spent way more time on it than my Switch last year and I am planning on buying more games for it this year. The idea that Nintendo should kill it is silly. Surely it makes more sense to invest in it in proportion to its profitability? And that’s exactly what they’ve been doing these past two years.

I’ve just bought OutRun. That should be downloaded and ready to play by the time I get home from work

Bought it last week. Still haven’t bothered to try it yet. Mainly because of Smash and I’ve just got back into Xenoblade.

I’m surprised they’re bothering with updates at all considering how miserably it’s sold.
