Dragon Quest

On 27th September, Dragon Quest fans located in Japan will be able to play the first three games in the long-running series on the Nintendo Switch.

Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation will all be made available on the same day as Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition via the eShop, and will be priced at 600 yen, 850 yen, and 1,500 yen (thanks, Gematsu).

This announcement was made during the Japanese Nintendo Direct, not long after the latest game had been shown.

While fans in the west did get some Dragon Quest news during the local presentation, it was limited to the free Champion's Pack DLC. This will include consumable items and equipment to change the appearance of party members in Dragon Quest XI S. Unfortunately, there's been no mention of the first three games receiving a local release on the Switch eShop.
