I'm always for something new, but if they're going to do a sequel I'd prefer Galaxy 3 over Odyssey 2.

I agree. It didn't get the best critical reception but most people I converse with who have played it, like it a lot. Seems like it sold decently but not well enough to get a sequel.

For me the top 3 are:
1. TMNT: Shredder's Revenge
2. TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection
3. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Bayonetta 1 and 2 are up there with Ninja Gaiden Black, the PS2 God of War games, Devil May Cry 3 and Heavenly Sword as my favorite character-action games of all-time. I can't wait to play this.

Still NieR: Automata. The 'B' playthrough.

Played it way back in 2010. Still my favorite Remedy game and I'd have it in my top 10 favorite 360 games, and that console was no slouch library wise.

Both Platinum Games and Nintendo (since it is funding some, or maybe all of the game) have to respond to this with more than just a tweet about 'untruths.' I won't be boycotting the game but there are others who will and that's their right and I do think, now that we know one side of the story, the other parties involved owe people some type of explanation. Don't know for sure if this is an issue of being cheap or not. I can't imagine it would cost less to get Jennifer Hale to do the voice work as she is a big name in the game industry and has a longer list of credits recently. If they felt a bigger name might lead to more sales I could see going that route, but there should've been a better answer at the start than overlapping circumstances as to why the original voice actress didn't return. Companies sometimes really don't think this PR stuff through.

Completed my first run through NieR Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition. Going after the B ending now, hopefully can get it by the end of the weekend.

Got them, really happy to see these back as I stupidly didn't act quick enough the first time around.

After doing some research it seems like this actually is a good port, so eventhough I wasn't planning on buying it, I changed my mind. It's a great game and devs who put in the effort to port something like this to Switch, which had to be a pain in the backside, and do it well, deserve the support.

Looks better than I expected so I'll go see it but I still don't have high expectations, just hope it's a decent popcorn flick.

It's a lame answer, ultimately Platinum can do what it wants but I wish they were more upfront with what happened. To me, it's as disappointing as when Kojima decided to recast the role of Snake/Big Boss. Hoping it won't be jarring since I've only played the Bayonetta games with the English voice acting turned on instead of Japanese.

Only getting Bayonetta 3 but that will be more than enough, the first two are both in my top 10 favorite action games of all-time.

Fantastic update. Anybody who hasn't played it, I highly recommend Alisia Dragoon, it's one of the best Genesis games, definitely in the top 15.

Being a Genesis/Mega Drive guy, I'm a bit biased, but have to go with Hard Corps. It's the Contra game I've enjoyed the most with PS2's Shattered Soldier a very close second.

I'm all for a new TMNT game. Shredder's Revenge is my game of the year pick so far and The Cowabunga Collection is awesome, love having all my favorite TMNT brawlers from the past on one card. Of course, I won't go overboard with hype until I know who the dev is and what style game they're going for.

Can't wait to get my copies tomorrow. Pre-ordered the physical version for each of Switch, PS5 and Series X.

Still my all-time favorite racing game.

Keep hoping a XCX remaster is in the future plans. Sold off my Wii U before the game released so never got around to playing that one.

Yeah. And, tbh, I think of all the big 3, MS actually is the most likely take the hit. It's do so before with original Xbox, although obviously it was trying to establish itself then. Now it would be more for better hardware sales, not sure if MS values that very high but if it does, I could see the company taking the trade off a little less profit on hardware for better marketshare and hope to make up the difference with better software and accessory sales.

They can try and explain it anyway they want, if any of these companies increase the prices on their hardware it's going to be a bad look.

Have friends who game on different platforms and I wanted a physical version as well.

If I had to guess I'd say SMW is, hours-wise, my most-played game of all-time, and my second favorite game ever behind only Resident Evil 2 (N64 version).

Xenoblade Chronicles 3. In the end, didn't love XC 2 as much as I did when I started it, but XC Definitive Edition made me feel foolish for skipping that game twice before finally getting it on Switch. One of the great RPGs of all-time. Can't wait to see if 3 lives up to it.

Bought it digitally for all 3 consoles and pre-ordered a physical verson for Switch when LRG put them up for sale.

It's pretty cool, might get the PS4 version. I have the Switch CE pre-ordered from Limited Run Games.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is one of my favorite RPGs of all-time, and while not quite as good as the first game, I enjoyed XC 2 quite a bit. Can't wait for Friday.

It's one of the best Kirby games so this is great to see.

If Nintendo had used an ounce of commonsense in that situation, it wouldn't have gotten the deserved flak that lasted for years.

I've always said the best compromise is a mode like this. Now people who don't care for the partial nudity can turn it off and those, like myself, who can't stand censorship can play the game as it's meant to be. I'll also take Kamiya at his word that this mode wasn't an edict handed down from Nintendo. My only concern is what it leads to in the future. Once you bend the knee like this to the puritans, they smell blood and want more than just a censorship option. Hopefully this is as far as it goes and future Bayonetta games don't get sanitized.

Haven't been many things to complain about with Switch but the way Nintendo handles the NES, SNES and N64 releases is just pathetic.

I don't like to advocate this kind of stuff, but with MS and Sony (as well as companies like Tencent) having made, and still making, big acquisitions, Nintendo should lock up some close partners if it can. Next Level was an under-the-radar, good purchase. Platinum and, if possible, Mercury Steam, should be next.

Don't care for Starfield (not really into Bethesda's games outside of DOOM) but Forza 8 is definitely one I'm keeping close tabs on. I love Forza 1-4 and 6, 5 and 7 disappointed but I think 8 will be a return to form.

Yeah, I'm going to have to pick and choose what to get the remainder of the year (XC 3 and Bayo 3 are the for-sure buys), but that's a good 'problem' to have.

Nintendo stomped the competition this year. It wasn't even close.

@Willo567 You're probably right but the way companies act these days, more than ever treating consumers as $ signs, I don't blame people for getting even a little concerned when they see 'in-game purchases.' Devs/publishers have lost the benefit of the doubt, even the best of them.

So, it's not toned down for the hyper-sensitive nutjobs... Good.

Don't know what the case was in the UK but if it was the same as here in the U.S., Klonoa wasn't advertised at all, so this isn't bad for a niche IP.

Shredder's Revenge is my Game of the Year so far. Love it, takes me back to the early 90s and great memories of the NES, SNES and Genesis TMNT beat-em-ups.
