Yes I would, especially if I could carry over all my current Switch games to the new model. I love the Switch, it's my favorite Nintendo system after SNES and taking nostalgia for the latter out, it may be my favorite but the hardware is getting old and needs a big upgrade.

'Too short.' It's a freaking arcade, light-gun game.

Have the PS4 version, fantastic game and one of my favorite from 2020. I'll definitely double dip.

Guess that's not surprising since this delay isn't exactly good news. Still, if Nintendo can get out two of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Bayonetta 3 and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, or somehow manage to get all 3 out in 2022 that's still a heck of a Fall/Holiday lineup. Dare I say still better than the competition.

Awesome, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is one of the best games this year and among the best in the series. Hope to see Nintendo continue with this style in the future.

Yeah, I have it as one of my favorite games of the year so far, right there with Horizon: Forbidden West. Would love a sequel that builds on some of the ideas put into Forgotten Land.

Only game I'll be playing this weekend is Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Love it so far.

Got a good 4 or 5 hours in so far. Awesome game, the best in the Kirby series I'd say since Epic Yarn for Wii.

Just got back from the store with my copy.

Just like that, it's back on my wanted list.

I've been enjoying the big, open world of Horizon: Forbidden West, but no doubt a more linear approach is appreciated sometimes as well. These levels are bigger than other Kirby games and the more light-hearted approach to a post apocalyptic type setting is cool too. Looking forward to a nice, easy game after stuff like Horizon and Metroid Dread (which I'm still obsessed with).

Haven't been the biggest Kirby fan, either. Liked the series a lot on NES and SNES then was pretty meh on it until Epic Yarn and since then none of the games have really interested me. This one, right from the first trailer, brought the hype and the demo confirmed for me it was going to be good. It gets ragged on a lot, but Super Mario 3D World is one of the best Mario platformers, imo, and this game has a lot of that DNA, going to be fun to see what the levels beyond the demo are like.

The hits keep coming for the Switch. Really enjoyed the demo, enough that I pre-ordered the game. Can't wait for Friday.

I liked the demo a lot. First Kirby game I'm interested in since the original Wii era.

My favorite game out of any on the current systems, love seeing this success. Should mean another 2D Metroid in the future.

Just updated the game. Can't wait to revisit Coconut Mall along with getting a chance to try courses from Mario Kart Tour for the first time.

Rise was the first Monster Hunter game that really clicked with me. One of the best releases of 2021, can't wait for this expansion.

Around the same time in its console cycle the original Wii was slowing down bigtime in hardware sales and its lineup was pretty dreadful. It was a shame because from 2006-2010 it was a great system but the last couple years really put it in a bad light.
I do think the pandemic factored into how things have played out, at least a little bit, but it's great to see the Switch still going strong, it's been an awesome system and I'd have it second on my list of favorite Nintendo platforms just after SNES.

Day one for me. The Arcade Game, Turtles in Time and The Hyperstone Heist are three of my favorite games of all time. Looking forward to playing Manhattan Project (had moved on to more powerful consoles by the time it released) and the Game Boy games for the first time.

Hopefully, but many of these companies don't seem to get the message in time, unfortunately.

And live service is the direction Platinum Games wants to head down in the future. Another studio ruined by compete and total morons.

My first experience playing one of Next Level's games was Punch-Out on the Wii, it was a fantastic entry in the series and everything I wanted. Luigi's Mansion 3 is one of my favorite Switch games. Solid company, hopefully the quality won't drop too far off under whoever he's passing the keys to.

Definitely one I'll be paying attention to since I love these type of games. Will buy if on Switch for sure (perfect console for indie games) and maybe PS5 or Series X if those versions take advantage of the better hardware in some way.

YES!!!! Fantastic news and, believe it or not, my favorite announcement of the Direct. I'm a huge fan of the Wii Sports series, especially Resort, and have been hoping it'd make its way to Switch. Took longer than I thought it might but super hyped that it's happening. Only disappointment is no basketball but hopefully there will be future updates beyond the fall where it can be added.

Stuff like this is why the Switch is already one of my favorite systems of all time. I know a lot of people don't look back fondly on it now but I still think the Wii is an awesome console and the Switch is the follow up I had hoped the Wii U would be and more.

I'd complete it again as well. I've played worse games, this one was just very disappointing after how much I loved Asylum and City.

The Batmobile segments, which I was really hyped about at first, actually brought Knight down the most for me. Couldn't stand those. Story was ok but I enjoyed Asylum's and City's a lot more. On the positive side, the Batgirl DLC was short but great.

Didn't really like Arkham Knight but Asylum and City for play at home or on the go? Yes, please.

Just Halo Infinite. Most fun I've had with one of 343's entries in the series by far.

Switch - Metroid Dread

PS5 - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Resident Evil: Village

I'd say PS2 for home consoles (although if Sony could somehow manage to get PS5 to play PS2 discs with enhancements the way MS goes about Xbox backwards compatibility, that'd be even better) and either Game Boy Advance or PSP for handhelds.

There is the rumored RE game that's being made for Switch first (which will likely be ported to more powerful systems eventually like Revelations was). If that game does end up happening and is successful like MH Rise, I'd love to see Nintendo and Capcom team up for a Switch-focused SF. Maybe SF Alpha?

Good thing MS didn't get Nintendo then and hopefully it never does.

More Metroid Dread. Also bought the two BloodRayne Revamped games so will be getting started on those.

Yup, I've always been more a 'speak with your wallet' guy myself. Was going to buy this collection but the morons running the show wanted it rushed out the door and we got a bad product because of that. I know it's difficult for people not to buy something they've looked forward to but the only way these companies learn is if they see sinking profit.

I think giving people a choice was the best decision in the end. I pre-ordered the black one. Since the Genesis days I've always thought black consoles go better with the other devices I have in my gaming setup.

Still the same as the last few weeks. On Switch it's Metroid Dread (fourth playthrough), on PS5 it's Guardians of the Galaxy.

These games even have problems on the PS5 (don't know about Xbox since I don't own a Series X and haven't looked into those versions) which is a beast from a hardware perspective so it's not shocking. Extremely disappointing though, as the review states, really shouldn't have been able to mess this up but somehow the devs did.

Iterate on Switch like going from NES to SNES and make sure the next-gen hybrid is fully backwards compatible with the current gen (accessories as well as games). I'd say that makes the most sense but it is Nintendo, one thing I think is for sure, though, it has to have bc or there will be a lot of angry consumers.

I won't state the obvious given other people have already made the comparisons, I'll just say it looks about what I expected which is good enough that I'll be double dipping. PS version digitally and next month I'll get the 'physical' version for Switch.

Metroid is my favorite Nintendo series after the Super Mario platformers but I really don't think it needs a movie just like Mario didn't need another movie.

I wouldn't use it either, still a feature the console should have.

I'm a big fan of the Switch but not too far from being five years into the console's life we still don't have some basic features like themes, Netflix or other video services that other modern platforms and even the original Wii had, and even the avatar section isn't updated. On top of that, I look at what Nintendo has done with NES and SNES online and it's difficult to believe it will really improve the expansion pack that much.

Yup, unfortunately at this point if it's a big third party release, especially from Western devs, I expect some portion of a game to require a download. Disappointing but bigger memory cards are affordable enough and there's definitely other stuff going on behind the scenes that lead to devs making these kind of decisions (might be laziness in some cases but definitely not all of them). Still better than a cloud version and I'd like to see more Rockstar games, especially future GTAs, on Nintendo platforms going forward so I have to support this.
