Playing the game on PS5 and really love it so far. Would definitely recommend anybody with a PS4/5 or Xbox One/Series X/S to give it a try, especially if you like single player, narrative driven games and are a fan of GotG. If Switch is your only option, guess it depends on connection. I've heard from some people who have had a flawless experience but obviously it'll depend on your internet, which is why I'm not a big fan of this push for cloud gaming.
I know Nintendo doesn't buy a lot of studios, but it seems like a missed opportunity as Grasshopper provided some good exclusives for the brand. Doubt we'll see any further partnerships and though I wouldn't have expected it anyway, think we can write off seeing a No More Heroes 4. At least the way I'd like to see it. I think, even more than MS, Tencent and NetEase have spooked Sony lately and you've seen it make some big moves to lock up key partners. Given what Mercury Steam has done with Metroid, I'd try to lock it up if I'm running Nintendo. Also would provide an opportunity for Nintendo to go in, see what's going on at the studio and clear out any leadership causing some problems there.
Day one for me. GTA V didn't have the best controls but far better than the older games in the series. Can't wait to play Vice City on a Nintendo platform.
I actually like it. It's not my favorite Metroid game but I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets either. The story is bad, no question. It had some good ideas but the execution was poor and stripping Samus of any agency was dumb. The gameplay, however, the most important part of any game, was really fun and I give Team Ninja a lot of credit considering Sakamoto basically put the shackles on them.
Unfortunately for Nintendo, the dislikes are deserved. If people want to blame licensing, that's fine, but imo, NSO is just not worth $50 even with Genesis, N64 and Animal Crossing DLC involved. And if Sega playing hardball is the cause of this, that's also on Nintendo. Should've just walked away from the negotiation table and went with one of its own systems like GBA or the Gamecube, the latter of which would've made many people happy. One of those two, along with N64, for $40 without the AC DLC would've been much better received, you'd still see some people say it's too much but the noise wouldn't be nearly as loud. I've even seen some of the most passionate Nintendo fans say this pricing structure is ridiculous.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Exactly my thoughts. Take out the Genesis, add the GBA (or, even better Gamecube), launch at $40 and though some people would still be angry, most would probably accept it as fair. $50 is ridiculous.
I was willing to go $30, maybe even $40, but $50 is out of the question, especially as what is on offer right away isn't exactly stellar and we don't know how frequent the updates will be. Wish Nintendo had just stuck with the original Wii's Virtual Console and kept growing it over time. What it's doing now is especially lame when you look at Game Pass, which is what Nintendo should be trying to emulate if it wasn't going to stick with the VC. Pay a sub, download games to the harddrive and buy them, sometimes at a discount, to keep them even if you decide not to re-sub.
I mean it sucks but I've bought games from Activision and Naughty Dog, who also have policies I don't care for. If I boycotted games or started hating on them because of stupid business practices, I wouldn't have a game collection at all. Hell the big 3 have all done worse stuff than this, I still buy the hardware they produce.
Haven't bought a Switch OLED yet, and probably won't, but if I did I'd go for the one with the red and blue joycons just like back in 2017 when I picked that color scheme over the gray ones for the standard Switch.
At most, and I think I'm being very generous here, it should be $15, ideally it would be $5 and wouldn't go over $10, but I know better than to get my hopes up.
Good, hopefully a certain pathetic website's idiotic article promoting piracy doesn't hurt the game's sales longterm. Want to see more 2D Metroid and not have to almost 2 decades again.
@Ryu_Niiyama Not that I'm in favor of bigger companies buying up all the small ones but given how things are going in the industry right now, and that this is the second great Metroid game from Mercury Steam, Nintendo may want to lock that studio up like it did Next Level Games.
Pretty big news. GTA has been on Nintendo systems but not the most popular entries. I love these games, will probably double dip and get the collection for both PS5 and Switch.
Chances are I won't get one. Despite what some say, I still don't think we're too far away from a Switch 'Pro' or possibly even the Switch's true next-gen successor.
After seeing the reviews roll in, I'm even more hyped to play this than I already was. Been a long wait since Fusion for the next new 2D entry but it's finally here. Great stuff.
Lost Judgment on PS5, which was one of my two most-wanted games of this fall/holiday season along with Metroid: Dread, which will be on my the playlist next week as well.
Waiting on the 'Switch Pro' or next-gen Switch, whatever the next piece of hardware ends up being. I think it's going to be more of a 3DS to New 3DS thing than a true next-gen leap.
Resident Evil 2 is my favorite game of all-time and the N64 port was stellar. Capcom didn't show the console the love it did to NES and SNES but at least we got that game.
Completed No More Heroes III. Love it, great conclusion to Travis' story (if Suda 51 does end it here) and a better game than reviews gave it credit for. Best in the series, the boss fights were awesome and in some cases surprising how they played out.
B, a lot of great moments my favorites were the Bayonetta 3 gameplay reveal, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and a new 3D Kirby game that I didn't know I wanted.
Echoing others, the Wii remake of Klonoa 1 is awesome, honestly I'd take a straight port of that alone for Switch and be happy. Hope something actually does come of this and maybe if there's enough interest Namco could give us a brand new Klonoa game as well.
For all their faults, No More Heroes 1, 2 and 3 are among my favorite character action games of all-time and even if they never make an NMH 4, I'm just happy we got a third mainline entry because when the series started it wasn't know if there would even be one sequel. Many thanks to Grasshopper, Marvelous and Nintendo for making NMH happen and I can't wait to see what Suda 51 makes in the future.
I love what I've played. It's like the first two, a bit rough in areas but the story is the same wild, crazy stuff I expect from NMH and the combat, again as expected, is an absolute blast.
I'm just happy we got NMH 3, I wasn't sure it would happen as neither of the previous games lit sales charts on fire. Great series and I look forward to whatever Suda 51 does next. Be cool if maybe Lily Bergamo got resurrected for Switch or its successor. Seemed like a cool idea.
Awesome, can't wait to get my copy tomorrow, been a long wait but love that we're finally getting a third entry in the series. Sounds like the open world stuff maybe should've been left out but I'll wait to see for myself what I think of it before judging.
Might be wrong but I remember Streets of Rage 4 taking a long time between announcement and release. I hope it sticks to the 2022 window but I wouldn't be shocked if it slips into 2023. Looking forward to the game so it's a big letdown it still doesn't seem close.
Still my favorite Nintendo console. I was a Genesis guy but several of my friends owned the SNES and I always enjoyed playing the latest games on it. It was the console that introduced me to Street Fighter II, which remains my favorite set of fighting games to this day. Some of my favorite games: Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time, Street Fighter II Turbo, Mega Man X, Secret of Mana, Super Mario Kart, Killer Instinct, NBA Jam, Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball, Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run, Super Tennis, Smash TV, SimCity, Star Fox, Donkey Kong Country.
One of my most anticipated games at the moment. I loved the NES, SNES and Genesis beat-em-ups. Definitely interested what they show. More than likely confirmation for the PlayStation and Xbox family of consoles but hopefully a release date as well.
October 8 can't get here soon enough. The Prime games are great but to me, Metroid is at its best in 2D and it's been a long time since the last new one.
I was interested at first because I'm always interested in beat-em-ups. Then I realized, as interested as I was in RCG 1, I never played it (just like I was initially hyped for Fight'N Rage and Raging Justice and also ended up ignoring those) and the same will probably happen with this. I love the genre but only need a game or two to keep me happy. Still content with The Takeover and Streets of Rage 4 which just got better with the Mr. X DLC and hopefully soon TMNT: Shredder's Revenge will be out and that has me more hyped than almost any game right now with the exceptions of Lost Judgment, Metroid: Dread and Horizon: Forbidden West.

Don't doubt that, but knowing a couple of issues that were fixed would be cool.

'Fixed several other issues to improve overall gameplay experience.' I always enjoy these vague descriptions.
