This seems all to similar to the drama earlier in the year with Wizards of the Coast and the open game license for D&D.

To be fair there’s only been what 3 FZero console games, 2 or 3 GBA games and one arcade game. Of the console games (snes, 64 and GameCube) the latter two didn’t sell as many consoles as the competitors either.

Anyway if they had looked online at any message boards concerning FZero they would’ve seen that GX would’ve been the more appropriate choice. It has something for everyone on switch from single player modes (especially story mode) to online play. I don’t see how a free game to subscribers tells them any viable information. They play the game because it was free and can only be played with said subscription.

Kinda hard to vote with your wallet when it’s a free download only available to subscribers. The only FZero I own is GP Legend and it’s a used copy. Now if they were to sell me the others I’d be more than happy to purchase them.

Nope not subscribing to play it. If they sold FZero on the snes classic game app I would buy it there and play it offline. That would be the better way to judge interest, if the game actually sells! All this tells Nintendo is that online subscribers like these 99 games that they have to perpetually pay a yearly fee for.

Well it’s a F zero game for sure just not what everyone was expecting so that would be the drawback of the wish.

It’s free yes but unplayable without the subscription. So ergo to play it’s a perpetual yearly fee. They could have it with a offline single or local multiplayer and it would be played by those without subs.

If this gets a physical with no download required I’ll buy it for sure. Otherwise I’ll pass like I have on all their collections and games so far. Seriously why are they so dang cheap?!

You can buy used physical copies after it’s delisted from digital storefronts.

Copyright law varies country to country. Take the new Evangelion set for example where even though they are covers of “Fly me to the Moon” it’s only available in the Japanese release while all others had to use a piano cover of Rei’s theme for the ending sequences.

That’s unfortunate. In ygo, unless it’s changed in the last few months, you can use cards from any set as long as you adhere to the banned/limited lists and if a card has an errata the new ruling counts.

I used to collect the cards so is the game structured so you can use older cards? (Say from the first team rocket expansion from back in the day in a current tournament) YGO allows you to use cards from any era.

I need to hunt up my copy of Pokémon Pinball GBC.

So the physical is not all on cart (in fact none of them are in the cart), we are getting the barebones original of mgs2 and 3 so no extra content from substance or subsistence. Sounds bad all around. Pass.

The Japanese box art just looks too jumbled up. The Western art has dynamic action while showing off some of the foes you must face. I went with the western box art.

Of its physical and complete on cart I definitely will. But given rockstars track record it will have physical but it will require a massive download which completely botches the point of a physical.

NA/Europe. Less is more sometimes.

I need to do some cleanup and actually display my collection so I went with the bookshelves.

Already preordered! Looking forward to it.

If it has a physical release and it’s all on a cart with no download required then I’m all for it!

No but they could offer alternatives to the subscription model. Why not sell the games individually like they did on VC? That would make a lot of sense and it would be a win win for them.

The msx port that’s on collection 2 is nearly unplayable. At least I was able to get to the first boss on the Famicom port on emulation way back when.

I’m excited for this release! Finally I can have all the Valis games! (Exception being Valis x) Seeing how much the original games go for in the second hand market these collections are a steal.

I’d like to see Innocent Life return.

I remember seeing one being available to play back in the day but never have seen one in a while since.

Ok time for a Xenosaga collection port and Xenogears. I’m not a fan of Xenoblades gameplay mechanics but I loved Xenosaga. Unfortunately a certain demo disc back in the day deleted my saves on my memory card and I was right at the last battle in the original Xenosaga so I never finished it.

Just going from experience of tie in games. Some turn out great but you usually end up with shovelware.

The cloud market isn’t growing. It’s failing in spectacular fashion. They want to spark innovation?! Then make ports specific to the platforms you want!

I loved the grinch gbc game. This one though I’m not too sure of yet.

It should already be using the system since you could have tied your 3ds an wiiu to your switch account to use the funds on it. Why not have software like vc carry over too?

They wouldn’t cost that much. Don’t forget they can compress the data so it could be smaller. Heck square charged $70 for ports of the classic final fantasies and they weren’t anywhere near 32 or 64 gb to justify the price. If they were to divide the collection as asylum and city in one double pack and knight in a stand-alone release they could absolutely do so. This is purely an anti consumer practice. Even if I was to have the largest memory card available (1TB) these games that are like this would cannibalize that space quickly. It’s not as if they are incentivizing consumers to go strictly digital with cheaper prices! You are still being charged the same price either way. Anyway I’d sooner pay a slightly higher price to play straight out of the box than hunt around and make a special trip just to download games I bought in store to have to go to the eshop to download the rest.

There is a 64 gb cart so the first two games could easily fit on a 32 bit cart and they could include the final game on a 64 gb cart in the same box.

I absolutely want to play them on switch. I just refuse to support such a anti consumer practice and you shouldn’t either. The more we let companies get away with this sort of thing the more emboldened they will get.

Arkham city is 16 gb according to google and knight is 46 I believe which could be compressed to smaller. So asylum and city could be on one cart and knight on a 32 gb cart if they compress it.

Another instant buy to now an easy pass. I’ll not support these releases. If they wanted they could make 3 separate game carts and sell them in one package.

Carts load faster than discs usually. Konami is just being cheap as Scrooge. We are talking about mere pennies of difference between one size cart and the other and they are still charging a good price.

Not having internet and wanting to play the game right then and there out of the box is also a valid reason. I’m mostly physical because know it will last longer. If my digital purchases would migrate to the next gen I’d be more inclined to go fully digital but it doesn’t.

No I’m mostly a physical gamer and I can tell you that the biggest majority of switch physical games don’t require a download to play. Patches don’t count as long as the game is playable out of the box.

No they should just get the proper size cartridge for the release and not be cheap buying the smallest possible carts!

And that officially kills all my hype for this. Just what is the point, honestly someone I’d really like to know, of having a physical copy if you have to download nearly the whole thing onto your memory anyway?!

I figured volume 2 would focus on big boss so the portable entries including peace walker seems logical. Then again this is Konami so logic doesn’t really matter.
