That’s why you should be able to back them up on a sd card or other device. They are digital games you purchased so why not? As long as Nintendo keeps putting retro emulators on their hardware you should never have to worry about them again. Heck even if they did hypothetically go bankrupt you could load them to a different emulator technically.

They are not tied to the system technically. Why not use the account system? Your own personalized digital gaming library! If it goes down to it why not just transfer the games on an SD card to a newer system?

This is my biggest disappointment on the switch. I’d love to just buy individual games I know I’ll play over and over again and just forget the subscription service since I don’t play online games. So a subscription to an online service that I don’t use just doesn’t cut it. It feels like a scam…..no it is a scam. We have an account system. We should have no problem simply transferring them over generation to generation. Heck we could just transfer them to a SD card and just copy them over to the next console of Nintendo’s what ever it may be.

I gotta ask why not port the Xenosaga and Xenogears games? I’m sure the blades series is popular but I long for the traditional turn based style of Saga and Gears. Why hasn’t this happened yet?!

I don’t remember that at all. Multiplayer was kinda the point. I remember not finishing it but playing online on Saturdays against other panopticons.

Just use the dual sticks. I cannot stand motion controls or gyro aiming. It’s so frustrating and not consistent. Oh the ease of turning and aiming with dual sticks! Ah yeah that’s the way.

A quick question. If you say they stole two thousand pounds of product would it be a ton of pounds or would you just say a ton. Asking for a friend (not really).

A mean Neptunia x Senran had a character dropping s**t with almost every breath (of course she was a villain so you’d kinda expect it) still rated T and i honestly think the series is just fine at a T rating. Or did they forget not everyone is such purityrannical prude?

This is ridiculous. I was waiting for news of this trilogy and I figured it would be coming sooner rather than later. Especially baffling that we have other games in the same series (even the new racing game that’s coming out early next year). I’m curious as to what guidelines they are violating.

I mean financially speaking it would make them more money to put out a physical so more consumers can get access to it. I’m holding out for a physical so the only way they are getting my money is to do so even if I’d love to play it ASAP.

How is it to early to tell if they will do a physical release or not? You just simply decide to make a physical release! It takes all of what, 2 seconds?

It would’ve made sense to have already released them and the WW and TP remasters but no. At this point I think Nintendo has no plans to release them.

Ok but what about the physical release? At least announce when it will be out if you are gonna delay the game anyways.

Looking at them I don’t think Nintendo really has no legal grounds period. Heck if I’m reading correctly they couldn’t have been patented in the first place since they are concepts (one reads using a laser like marker to hit targets and how to move a character such as a soldier in a 3d space.)

This sounds way to similar to Capcom Street Fighter/ Data East Fighters History lawsuit. Capcom lost. I believe if that sets any precedent then Nintendo will lose this as well.

Really Square Enix? The game is over 30 years old. I think the spoilers are already out there on various wikis and other fan sites.

This feels awful similar to the case in the early nineties where Capcom tried to sue data east over fighter’s history infringing on street fighter. Capcom lost.

Kinda surprised no one put it together before. They sound so similar.

We’ve seen time and again where collections have been passed over on the switch with the hope they’d be added to NSO. However most like the Disney Afternoon Collection never see a switch release or like Konami and Capcom release multiple ports of the same games on various eshop collections and nso. (Like for example Street Fighter 2 on the anniversary collection and the Capcom arcade or Bloodlines beibg on the Castlevania collection and on the $50 a year expansion)

Ownership is important. Why not have both services? You could buy games you enjoy and then when you decided not to sub again you could still have those games to enjoy. Remember with a subscription you have to pay year after year regardless if anything is added that you would enjoy. I dont see the service as value when I lose value by not having internet connection at all times with my switch thanks to the weekly check in required even if I paid $50 a year for the highest tier if not get my money’s worth.

Thing is you are not going to want to play every game on the service. So those games are just taking up space. Personally speaking I don’t see games as one and done but go back and replay them whenever the urge takes me. You’d be far better off buying the individual titles you’d play and curate your own gaming library than waiting for the one who makes the decisions about which games are on the service decides to drop the game you are looking forward to.

Consumers are finally getting fed up of being nickeled and dimed year after year for subscription services. Bring back virtual console as an option to play classic games.

I’d rather there be options for the consumer to have a self curated library of games that transfer gen after gen without having to buy them over and over or pay a fee every year. Especially options for those like myself who don’t have internet connections at all times at home.

No it’s still not worth it. I want to own the media I purchase not pay a subscription over and over.

Censoring it is just dooming it. The consumer wants the game an intended. Not sanitized.

It’s too slow. I kept yelling at the screen that he could swing his sword faster. Not to mention way too many systems to keep track of like what skills are only available against this one specific enemy type and wgat skill to use when you see the premonition. Just make it an action RPG hack and slash.

Xenoblade has terrible gameplay. Xenosaga is at least deep in its turn based system and using the AGWS. Besides Xenoblade has the most convoluted story even worse than KH.

Saga and Gears would be nice. I’ve tried Xenoblade but I hate the combat system. Is X any better?

Oh come on! There needs to be an alternative to the subscription so non subscribers can play choice games.

It’s bad any way you go. In the art books it’s always shown the original design. Only games in the series I’ve played have been 1 then jumped to 8 years later, then dq monster 2 Tara, 4, 5, 6,7, 9 and 11. Outside of the costume alterations Toriyama did on two of Jessica’s outfits in the 3ds port of 8 (which was covered here on Nintendolife) none of the other changes really rocked the boat or at least wasn’t newsworthy then. Of course I find it odd they censor that and not young Gokus pat pats in the original dragonball. But then they censor lips on Mr Popo so go figure.

At least the censorship was more consistent with certain things and at tge rime there was no rating’s system.

I’m not personally excited for it per se but I would love to enjoy it without compromising on anything. I mean I’d like to enjoy the nes original because I finished dragon warrior on nes as a kid so the graphics don’t matter much as the principle.

I see your point but in the end it’s going to sell some copies regardless. I’d love to play it legally and support the teams actual vision for the game. I can’t justify harming those who did nothing wrong hence why the compromise of buying an alternative would keep them paid.

Here is a compromise that could have worked and pleased more consumers. Why not have modern and classic modes? That way you could have it both ways they can have type a, b and censored art in the modern setting and male/female and original untouched artwork for classic but still have the same core game.

They could look at the individual sales. If the mobile port sold more than the hd remaster then they should take note especially since in essence it’s the same game.

I appreciate your view. I’d rather see more control and last say in things given to creators instead of suits. To coin an old adage “you can’t make a salad everyone will enjoy” if you try you’ll simply end up with an empty bowl. DEI is ruining creativity and creators views and the stories they want to tell. I’m sorry that xyz doesn’t include abc but you should enjoy it as the creators wanted and not try and change it to fit your views.

I’d rather purchase that lackluster port and sq/enix to show I support unchanged artwork than emulation which doesn’t support them. In fact I’d say to everyone who hasn’t purchased that release to instead purchase it instead especially on release day of the remaster.

If it sells well by that logic they wouid falsely attribute it to the forced upon them changes. I won’t forgive them on this point by butchering the artwork of the great Toriyama. If you look at his work you can plainly see how much care and effort he put into it and I hate seeing it tarnished especially after his recent passing. Removing lips on ogres, changing female character designs (reminds me of that line is Casper where the mother said “don’t tell her to wear a tshirt under her bathing suit), removing alcohol and changing obviously male and female to type a or b. If left alone it would’ve achieved the same rating possibly the T but there’s not much difference in E10 or T in the ESRB.
