Re: Japanese Teens Apparently Love Nintendo Switch More Than Pokémon & Disney

That’s pretty much my top 3 and I’m in my 30s in the U.S.

Free unsubscribed YouTube is all I need for all of my music listening and picture viewing. There is an endless amount of content between music and video on YouTube. And combined with the free tv website with every station (tv app/pass) I don’t pay anything and have no problems watching everything I ever want.

Nintendo Switch is all I need for video gaming. Now that Elden Ring is coming to Switch the only game I feel I’m missing out on is AstroBot. Otherwise my Switch 1 backlog is still 2-3 years full

If you get truly “upset” over spoilers you probably haven’t been through much in life. It’s all just fiction. I would never spoil anything, that’s jerk behavior don’t get me wrong here. But I also don’t get freaking out over it. The sun will still rise tomorrow even if you prematurely find out what happens in the movie or game you are about to enjoy.

Re: Nintendo Explains Why Switch Games Are Still Getting Free Updates

Galaxy2IsTheGOAT

I appreciate the continued love for Switch 1 but don’t personally ever care for any updates of DLC of games I’ve already played. I think the big reason they still support Switch 1, let’s be real, is because it has sold 160 million units so that’s still a huge market. And if a ga e doesn’t need Switch 2 hardware to run, why not just release it as a S1 game

Re: Video: Nintendo Highlights Enhanced Switch Games On Switch 2

@liberate Outer Wilds is just something else. What a powerful experience and there’s very few games I can honestly say that about, and I game a lot. Definitely deserves an upgrade to help it fully realize on Nintendo consoles.

Nintendo is upgrading all its games but it’s the big third party releases that actually need them. first party Nintendo games already were built fully-realized, since they were designed for Switch from the ground-up. Outer Wilds is a great example. Lots of third party games crashed a lot I found. That’s just unacceptable past a certain degree. Start there

Edit- woops I mixed up Wilds and Worlds again. And an even better example by you, as Outer WORLDS could use enhancing even moreso

Re: Nintendo Music Adds Another Legendary Zelda Soundtrack, Here's Every Song Included

Galaxy2IsTheGOAT

I see Hourglass and Spirit Tracks get lots of medium reception but I loved both those games. I do feel like the music from Spirit Tracks stands out a bit more from my distant memory. And I think that game was more memorable between the two. But having already done the sailing focus with Wind Waker, the train riding theme has that unique vibe. I thought it was a shame there were no ancient/leftover rail systems/tracks in the BoTW/Tears map. None significant at least that I recall.

Re: Nintendo's Investors Are Reportedly "Spooked" As Stock Slides

@somnambulance
It’s pretty concerning that nothing is even announced yet. Yoshi isn’t moving any units. Of course they are going to announce things in Direct this year but those will still likely be years out.

They talked a lot about importance of launch lineup then didn’t even have anything for 2 years really.

I don’t really worry about Nintendo in the long run but I would NOT buy stock for a while. I think the slide continues all 2026.

Strictly physical here. Doing my small part. Will never connect my Switch to internet. Have at least 2-3 years worth of sealed Switch1 games to play. Then I will catch up to Switch2 but only games offered in full on cartridge. That should be around when a new 3D Mario or Zelda is out, and maybe even updated hardware.
