I don’t like choices, I like playing games without ever visiting the options screen. As the developers intended. It’s their art creation. Please don’t make me choose. If I’m playing docked which should I pick? I will probably just select the default
I think they are banking way too much on the fact that Mario Kart 8 was such an evergreen. It won’t repeat itself imo. They would also be wise to keep supporting Switch 1 aggressively. Especially with the 2 price point. I’m a bit bearish on Nintendo after today. The next Animal Crossing will be the big make or break for Switch 2 imo. Not Mario Kart.
Lost me. I still haven’t connected my switch online and I’ve had it since 2021 and played about 40 games. They all work fine. You don’t need to update your co sole. I fear that will change. Hope it’s very clear which games will use this.
Really like how surrealist this looks, classic Nintendo weirdness that you don’t see as much anymore. The ending with girl dreaming with a crush on but also intimidating fear of the larger, prettier girl. Nice and weird
I just don’t think it would work well with two switches. Do you put the “upper” screen on your lap and hold the lower screen switch? Even if you used your tv as the upper screen it just doesn’t work as naturally as the DS/3DS. I don’t think anything but two screens physically above and below captures the DS/3DS magic. If you recall the WiiU hardy utilized the feature after NintendoLand
Peper Mario Thousand Year Door for Switch. It’s a little bit too easy so far, and the first batch of side missions too “walk over there and talk to this character” and a few “walk WAY over there and talk to this character” - but otherwise it’s good. I actually loved Brothership but it was 20 hours too long, best turn based combat I think I’ve ever experienced for a RPG though. TYD combat not as snazzy or satisfying, but everything else seems better. I still can’t recall if I played the original TYD though. A few scenes or sections I’m like “yes I recall this” and I played lots of GameCube. But a lot I just don’t recall ever playing. I know I played Super Paper Mario because I recall the 2D/3D shift gimmick.
My backlog for Switch 1 is so extensive I just don’t really care. I also like to hold off on any new hardware due to potential physical bugs or what not. I got my Switch late, in 2021. So I’ve always played games well after release. Rarely have I felt any FOMO at all or like anything was ever “spoiled” and I read this website daily and keep up with news and blogs and streamers all things Nintendo.
So do t worry if you can’t get it day 1! Just have a Switch 1 game or two that you can fall back on if you have to wait a bit.
@LikelySatan that would be awesome if Majora’s Mask was the biggest influence, as you said “creepy and surreal.” But as you also said, no chance! Just hope they do capture at least a tiny bit of the quirkiness that appears in some form in just about every game. Don’t take itself too seriously from start to finish if you will.
Kind of cart before horse but a trilogy obviously makes sense here for so many reasons. New Zealand seems ideal setting-wise. Are there any active volcanos though? Gotta have a Death Mountain.
I was pretty shocked learning they were doing this live-action, as protective as they are of IP. But if Miyamoto is advising I’m not too worried. And nothing about the movie can change how I feel about the games past or present.
There have been so many styles and types of Zelda games that they have plenty of freedom. I think we all expect something similar in look to the LOTR movies. But I wouldn’t mind being surprised in that regard.

Also, while supplies last…. Of a download code?
Will the code be 3 digits?

Oh that’s great. Stop selling what would be your biggest Christmas seller in the fall. Brilliant

Re: Switch 2 Was Very Nearly Called 'Super Nintendo Switch'
Super Mario Open World. It just works so well it has to happen.
Even though I’m not big on the big worlds in 3D Mario like the red desert in Odyssey

Guess they are planning for MK World to last for 11 years like 8

No doubt in my mind tariff crap added $50 to the price, At least
Re: Video: Metroid Prime 4 Looks Great, But Here's Why The Latest Trailer Isn't Switch 2 Footage
If they have made it for Switch I just don’t see any reason to release it also as a Switch 2 game. If you own a Switch 2 it will play.
Re: Rumour: GameCube Revival Planned For Nintendo Switch Online
Well, yeah, it is the next console in line so that’s a pretty safe prediction
We have a lot of the big games already. Pikmin 1,2. Sunshine. Prime.
Question is whether they just release the rest as NSO ports, or give certain ones the remaster/HD upgrade

Great! On my backlog list and I still am all physical. Have played maybe 40 Switch games now without ever connecting my console to internet lol
Physical forever!
