Re: It's Looking Likely That Switch 2 Will Have A Handheld PS6 Competitor

Sony forgets you need to have good software to sell hardware.

I see people complaining the Steam Machine isnt a good deal. Did they ever stop to think that was never their master plan? But by releasing, Valve spawns copy cats and competition, which even if people buy those others alternatives...guess where they end up buying their games from? You guessed it, Valves Steam storefront.

Genius Gabe, miles ahead while Sony and Xbox play fumbleball back and forth trying to enter the fastly growing PC market.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th June)

FrylockJ

Thanks to Steam for a total of $45 I picked up:
Resident Evil 7 + All DLC
Resident Evil Village + All DLC
Monster Hunter Worlds
Binding of Isaac + All DLC
Edge of Eternity
Beseige
Barony
Dishonored + All DLC
Plagues Tale: Innocence
Hot Line Miami
Orbital Bullet

Felt like a dang thief checking out my cart lol. Plus I ended up getting a rare foil trading card for the summer sale which I sold off for a $1.50 return. Noice.

Re: Nintendo Announces The Construction Of A New ¥121 Billion R&D Center In Japan

What is there to research or develop?

Graphics have peaked and wont get any better. A new gimmicky waggle stick wont really have any impact. Virtual reality has died out yet again on its 5th failed attempt to break into mainstream.

Kinda confused as to what they think theyre doing over there. We simply want good games without the devs personal beliefs plastered in them, it ain't hard people.

Re: Square Enix Is Apparently Open To A Nintendo Version Of Final Fantasy XV

FrylockJ

This never even felt like a Final Fantasy game to me besides the characters over use of belts as accessories.

Just really doesnt have that same charm the rest do and the cast is..very forgetable.

@garfreek Guessing you never played the original. 80% of the trilogy is filler (the first one is closer to 99% filler) or changed from the actual real OG game.

Re: Tekken Is Coming To Switch 2, But Not The One You Think

FrylockJ

I feel like a lot of pairs of rose-tinted glasses are going to get shattered upon trying to play Tekken in 2026. Those first attempts of going from pixels to 3d models were not kind to the fighting genre.

@SoIDecidedTo Popular arcades couldn't exist in today's social climate. They'd be open markets for the unsavory types amogst us.

Re: Review: Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition (Switch 2) - Not Definitive, But Another Great Capcom Port

FrylockJ

Definitely one of the best five bucks I've spent in awhile, even if V does suck to play as and having to fight the same boss over and over is very repetitive. Its almost TOO complicated with its mechanics though, especially with the character swapping. As soon as you get the feel of one character, you're abruptly playing somebody else again.

Also they made me buy UMvC3 just so I could play as Trish since she barely gets screentime in this sadly.

Re: Review: LumenTale: Memories Of Trey (Switch) - A Refreshing, If Jarring, Take On Black & White-Era Pokémon

Weird they go after PalWorld, which holds barely any similarities to Pokemon games outside of catching monsters, yet stuff like this is A-okay with Nintendo?

Or they just knew PalWorld was going to set the new standard they could never catch back up to and viewed it as a serious threat, whereas this game is nothing to them since its just another samey ripoff?

Re: Rise Of The Tomb Raider Gets Surprise Release On Switch 2 Today

That trilogy is peak stealth action gaming. Sadly by the third one, they've got yellow paint all over and Lara telling herself the same lines every 5 seconds so you, the dumbie gamer, can understand what to do.

Still though, best $0 I ever spent on a trilogy (thanks Epic Store, youre good for one thing, free games).
