Re: Competitive Super Smash Bros. Scene in Spain Prepares to Ban Bayonetta

The new characters are certainly different to face. Corrin too has some interesting moves that make him/her hard to fight, but I've been learning over time how to counter them. Bayo is the same story. What these characters should have is a little more punishable moves, Corrin seems to have been nerfed enough to not feel OP, but Bayonetta is still pretty good in the risk/reward game. Too little risk, too much reward.

@Socar "it seems to be the only game that makes use of the gamepad"

No.

@Yorumi "Taking nearly an hour to 'get used to' is practically the definition of bad"

What are you talking about? When I first played Splatoon it felt strange because of the new control scheme, I remember thinking it wasn't that good at the beginning, but after a few hours of practice they became better and more natural. Now I can't play a shooter game with no gyro without feeling clunky,

It's now my favorite control scheme for shooters, along with pointer controls. And I know I'm not the only one who thinks this way about Splatoon's controls.

@Einherjar Yeah, I undertand this works for some type of games. E.g. Steamworld Heist is a very fun game and they nailed it down perfectly with the not-so-random generated levels in one of the flaws I always saw in TBS games, knowing what's coming ahead in your second play through a level. However, I see much emphasis in this kind of generated content lately.

I'm not saying THIS game will be bad, it just starts to feel like a new not necesary trend.

Re: Editorial: Triple-A Third Party Games Will Need Creativity as Well as Marketing for NX Success

By my own experience I can say that I usually buy first party Nintendo games, rather than third party, mostly because Nintendo games are of a higher quality (and my budget is limited). Of course there are other good games out there, but I think that's the reason many people choose to buy Smash over Assasin's Creed or whatever.

IMO, some third parties are just not willing to compete against Nintendo.
