@Yorumi Well, if you only go for the "sniping points" it's logical you can be countered pretty easily, it happens in every game.
Chargers are pretty good weapons (like every other), if you have no problem in getting rid of them then they're probably not very good using that kind of weapon.
Btw, Splatoon maps are amazingly designed, I'd agree with @shani , they're the best maps I've played in an online shooter, ever. That's why I never get bored with the 2 map rotation, there's always a new path you can take.
@Yorumi In all seruousness, weapons are nicely balanced. Of course at the beginning there were going to be some problemos because weapon balance is not that easy, but right now it's quite good. I used to hate (Gold) Dynamo Rollers because of its fire power, but since I learned how to deal with them they're really easy to me. I haven't encountered many Aerosprayers lately but I think they've been nerfed in one of the past updates.
Now, chargers are really good weapons, they're just hard to use. You can defend against enemies, but of course it's going to be hard since chargers have the advantage at medium-long range. Still, you need to know how to move properly and use your sub weapons wisely in order to defend yourself against other weapons. As a Bamboozler user, I don't have as much problem on dealing with a Aerosprayer as with a E Liter 3k. Because of course, each weaponf has its pros and cons.
In other words, not because you had those problems it means chargers are bad, you just had to play differently.
I'm still trying to get into this game, it's not bad but I don't feel it's great either. I think the fact that they tried to make it "cool" doesn't help at all, I don't like coolness.
It looks a little Diancie-sh and I'm not a fan of her, but I'll wait until more details emerge before judging it.
And for those wondering about the name, Magiana is its japanese name (マ-ma ギ-gi ア-a ナ-na) and it's likely they'll change it once Game Freak brings it over here.
Smash core mechanics are kept on each iteration, but since every game is built from scratch, they tend to change enough so each game feels different (e.g. DI vs vectoring).
Sakurai's right, introducing new characters with non-traditional styles is the key to keep Smash fresh.
I'm guessing Kimishima is having a rough time with it because it doesn't go well with his plan of expanding the gaming image of Nintendo to other kinds of media (like the Universal themed park). It might have to wait a little before this QoL thing is taken in consideration again.
@JaxonH I know it's not offensive at all, but I'm sure there'd be some complainers anyway. I read a bit about what Tomahawk meant (because I know little about it) but the clothes are clearly based in native people and that can get labeled as a stereotype quite easily.
@Bolt_Strike Smash 4 is a rehash? Come on! Have you even played it? It couldn't play more different to Brawl or Melee. It's one of the advantages of being made from scratch.
I think that's an amazing idea. Smash games are not easily made, so a port of Smash 4 (wich is insanely good) sounds great. Add all the DLC and some extras and that will be an outstanding game for people who never owned a Wii U. I kind of expected it.
@Yorumi I know plenty of melee competitive players that insult Smash for Wii U and the people that play it. I don't think the top players do it, but the melee fanbase is pretty toxic indeed. It's as if people can't like both games.
About the article, it's nice to see another Nintendo game in EVO. I guess it'll be good publicity to the "hardcore" audience.
IMO this game was handled perfectly. I remember getting a bit worried at the beginning, but I decided to trust Nintendo and it really paid off. I usually hate when I play the same map over and over again in any MP shooter, but due to the singularity of this game, it helped a lot. The maps are amazingly designed and they have a lot of depth in it, and let's not forget this is a greatly fun game (the single action of moving is just so much fun!) Overall, Splatoon has become one of my favorite games of all time, and I don't think I'll put it down anytime soon.
About voice chat... Well, not everyone speaks english y'know. Although it'd be nice to have it in private battles and/or squads.
Wut? Let me get this straight (sorry for the possible misunderstandings).
So, this guy NES Matt made the Avoider theme out of loops and then another person claimed it was very similar to another game's theme? If yes, does anyone know what game are they referring to?
I'm guessing he used some generic presets of a random virtual instrument and just slapped them together, I don't see how could anyone make a very similar song just by coincidence.
EDIT: OMG, I just heard the original song. That's no coincidence, he just stole the freaking song. Shame on the "composer" of this game,

@Yorumi Or maybe you're just bad with chargers.
Re: Nintendo Share Value Drops Over 17% in One Week as Global Economic Panic Bites
@Daemonite Imagine all those people who bought Nintendo share stock back in early 2000s and got to sell them on the Wii era. What a bunch of fools.

I'd say this is better than expected after last year's poor holiday line up. Go Nintendo!

@Mode7 That's a good point. If there was a "white man" job it'd surely offend some people.

@Bolt_Strike But it has Pikachu with a hat talking in a deep voice so...

Happy birthday!
Re: Oculus Founder Palmer Luckey Believes Virtual Boy "Hurt" the VR Industry, But It's Not All Bad

I can't see how this VR thing is not going to flop.
