Ok I've played both levels. Déjà Boo is very simple, the idea is good but the execution didn't result as satisfying for me, I think it needs to be a little more confusing in order to make the players feel at least a little lost and get that great feeling after they realize what to do.
I liked The Ol' P Switcheroo more. It's a good concept and the platforming is really nice. The thwomps add little puzzles to the level that are satisfying to solve. And the end is great!
@Kirk I usually don't promote my levels on the news comment section but it'd be an honor if you try some of my levels. I'd like to know how good/bad they're from your point of view, since you are a game designer,
I think hard levels are fine. Unfair levels are the ones that shouldn't exist. And yeah, what Tezuka-san said is pretty accurate, that's why I label my levels harder than what I think. Easy for me? Normal. Normal for me? Hard.
Yoshi's Wooly World, Fatal Frame, Faat Racing Neo and XCX are all I need. Good thing Zelda and StarFox got delayed, I wouldn't be able to play them all!
@imageform Well, you found the most important secret, and I'm really happy for that, it worth the extra work.
Also, as I said before, you can speedrun through it just like in a normal Mario level. I'll let this video (poorly recorded btw) to show you all how to do it:
@OorWullie Hey, that's a really good level. It's cool how it needs to be done a little fast, maintaining the momentum (wich is something I love about Mario games).
I liked the way Ghostly Mushroom is build, it really feels like you're kinda lost at a certain point, but the way the level progresses tells you how to advance by exploring a bit. I also loved the little tutorial.
The Chain Chomp Chains is very different but it has some nice things. I don't know if this solution was included on purpose, but I took the green shell with me instead of using it to find the fire flower. It made the level easier because I could defeat the Chain Chomps by throwing the shell upwards and picking it again. It was fun.
Hope you guys try some of my levels, I do some of the stuff Markus said. You can even speedrun them if you find the correct path and timing. Overall, I think they're pretty decent.
These patents mean nothing. I just don't get how people are getting excited or angry about these things. I'd rather wait patiently for the NX unveiling. It's less than a year anyway
My second least favorite MK (after Super Circuit of course). I never owned this game and when I got to play it, it was after playing MK7. Maybe that's why I don't like it that much, the collisions felt horrible and the bikes were broken. There's some nice tracks though
It's good to see a different kind of splatling. The big one is great, the only downside for me is its sub weapon, I just don't like ink walls. Here's hoping a great sub weapon for this little one

Re: Takashi Tezuka Gives His Opinion on Hard Levels Made with Super Mario Maker
@Kirk Oh, my bad. I was thinking you'd like those levels because they're well designed and somewhat minimalistic.
The guys at the forums seem to like them and they've given me really good feedback. But it's a shame most people just want flashy automatic levels.

There's an easy one and a hard one
There's no need to comment or reply, staring is enough (in case you like them).

I got so lost! But it was really fun.
Re: Review: Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash (3DS)
I'll get this eventually. I don't want this franchise to die.
Re: Nielsen Game Rank Lists the Most Anticipated Games of the Holiday Season
Nintendo needs to start building that Xenoblade Chronicles X hype again.
Re: Super Nindie Maker: Choice Provisions' Paratroopa Pounce
I'll definitely give this a try. Traditional levels are the only ones that can surprise me when they're well made, but it's so rare finding one.

Wow, it looks amazing
Re: Gallery: Details, Screens and Video for This Week's Super Smash Bros. DLC
@CapnKael Are you me? I buy all this stuff and I don't even like Miis that much. The stages though...
Re: Super Mario Maker Passes One Million Sales
I hope this game sells at least a couple of million more, it's really THAT good. Also, that means more people that can star my levels.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Wii U & 3DS Version 1.1.1 Is Now Live
Neat. I'll get the whole pack tomorrow!
Re: Super Mario Maker Back on Top in Japan as 3DS and Wii U Sales Increase
Awesome figures. Keep it up Nintendo!
Re: Video: Did You Know Gaming? Explores The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
I need to play this game again
Re: Nintendo Hammers Out A New Update For Super Mario Maker
Yeah, a different category for automatic levels would be nice. I like to play my games, not just watch them play themeselves.
If I wanted that, I would've bought a PS4 or Xbone.
Re: First 4 Figures Opens Pre-Orders for Its Cat Mario Collectibles
It looks like when you are in a rainy stage. And I wish I could pay for it.

You see? It's easy

Re: 3D Effect Will Be Disabled When Playing Hyrule Warriors Legends On Older 3DS Hardware
I was wondering how this'd work on an "old" 3DS. Now I know how.
Re: Super Nindie Maker: Image & Form's Ghostly Mushroom
I'll check this level out later! A well-thought not-spammable level is always welcome
Re: Don't Count Nintendo Out, Says Former Xbox Boss Robbie Bach
@Vineleaf Yup
In fact, the 3DS has sold pretty well.

Re: Poll: Which Is The Best Super Mario Platformer? - 30th Anniversary Edition
OMG, this is a tough question. I've been playing SMG 2 like crazy this week so I might be a little biased towards it.
Who am I kidding? SMW is still the champ
Re: The Mini Splatling is Next Up in This Week's Splatoon Update
It's good to see a different kind of splatling. The big one is great, the only downside for me is its sub weapon, I just don't like ink walls. Here's hoping a great sub weapon for this little one

Good review Thomas.
I wasn't convinced to buy this game, but after reading about the MP I think it deserves a try. I'll miss the gyro controls though

Re: Review: Woah Dave! (Wii U eShop)
I like it when the music starts to get more melodic. The fact that you need to raise your score in order to listen to it makes the game more addictive
Re: Pokémon Brawler Pokkén Tournament Coming To Wii U Early Next Year
@hYdeks Who cares? If Nintendo announced a Pokémon Stadium game many people would care. Same with a Pokémon Snap sequel
Re: Pokémon Brawler Pokkén Tournament Coming To Wii U Early Next Year
@Yorumi "You never saw anyone hyped about that game, so they reskin tekking with pokemon and people are flipping over the game?"
This is (kinda) the game that many were expecting since the first gen, because, like in the show, you can see and use Pokémon to "fight" properly
Re: WayForward May Be Teasing a New Mighty Switch Force Title
I hope it's a third main entry ala MFS 1. I loooove that game, one of my favorite on the eShop
Re: Preview: Rekindling Platforming Passion in Super Mario Maker

And I hope we get some contests here at NL
