@Marioman2023 There will always be a downside to things, however one shouldn't generalize an entire group because of some outliers.
Anyone who thinks modding is just NSFW stuff or out to give the middle finger to the devs, have no idea what actually goes on in the community.
Modding can do alot of thing to enhance an already excellent game. Modding can also be used to fix a bad game. Most times however modding is just silly fun everyone can join to keep the replay ability of a game alive well past it's prime.
Thanks to modders and people who reverse engineer things, I've been able to play games that came out decades ago but cannot run properly on today's PC's.
Heck, I even give credit to modders for unlocking content that can no longer be access due to limited time events years ago.
Many of them are very passionate about the games they play and respect it. Otherwise they wouldn't spend hours tinkering with it.
@Joeynator3000 Zelda game. It's going to be called much better than the first. A true masterpiece that puts every other game in the history of the universe to shame because it's so darn perfect.
IGN 9/10 - 10/10 Gamespot 9/10 - 10/10 Nintendolife 10/10 because they rate every title perfect
It's pretty easy to predict this will be 2023's GOTY ahead of the curve.
@Not_Soos I agree. He doesn't look all that unique at all. As far as the necrophilia comment goes...As much i don't like to question nor pry into someones personal fetishes, I will say it creeps me out the way people talk about these characters.
I remember the RE8 lady and someone was talking wanting her to "step" on them. Ew.
@Switch_Pro Sounds to me you just wanna agree with whoever reaffirms your personal biases. That's cool. Everyone does.
Now don't mind me, but this goes out to everyone on this thread since I've been here on Nintendolife. I'm curious anymore if people know the difference between dislike and hate.
I'm curious because people keep applying the wrong word in sentences where it doesn't belong. When you use the word hate, you are vilifying a person simply because you don't like their opinion. Please don't do that.
If someone dislikes something. Then use the word dislike. It's less intense, and applies to 99% of these comments here everyday.
@Uncle_Franklin But, it's not surprising. All you have to do is use history.
Look at every illumination film so far. Sure if you enjoy their films then more power to you, but at best, the studio is known for average just barely passable films.
It's not snobbish or superiority. Just it's hard to be surprised from a studio that's never surprised anyone.
I would, but this site is a bit too pro Nintendo. Some practices you defend is a turn off. If there was more people on staff too counter those pro views, I would give it a go.
@BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed You can't create something that's been already been created. All Hollywood did was adapt those books into a moving picture. The idea was already created, it was already established.
The narrative was already pushed and it was kept alive long before the idea of a motion picture existed. You may not like it and that's fine, but Hollywood is not the sole one to blame that ingrained idea at all.
@Bass_X0 You know I was going to give a counter argument to that, but after that last paragraph all l can say is...wow.
Look mate, I'm 32, and honestly I don't enjoy some of the remakes out there, but at the same time I know I'm not the target audience for half of em.
With that said, I'm an adult who isn't insecure because I know I don't have to watch anything I don't like it and nothing new ruins what came before, because the old is still there, and free to access anytime. For me personally it's not worth my time being upset about it.
Anyways, I think you might have went a bit overboard in your rant.
@Caryslan Sorry, but your post comes off as self righteous, and the companies as if each are puritans. These companies choose money over morals everyday. It's the corporate way.
@Bearzilla823 Sorry old timer, but you don't understand how digital works. There are only so many digital copies you can sale before you run out of digital. Therefore the price being equal is fair. (I'm joking by the way)
@Kiwi_Unlimited Of course it is demand. I mean why waste a couple of bucks watching the film series or reading the book, when you can spend 60$ experiencing the same tale for the 1000th time.
@KayFiOS Have to disagree. Those old directs helped Nintendo stand out. It made advertisement fun and silly, in a time when all Xbox and Sony cared about was the next AAA M rated game for "big boys" only.
In many ways those directs still felt like how old Nintendo saw themselves. A toy company.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Pokemon was/is never meant to be a deep or a complicated game. It's a game for all ages, so it's designed to be lighthearted on purpose. It's intentional.
At it's heart it's a slice of life game about collecting monsters and trading them with friends.
@Jhena That would not help them at all. While that may have been true 20 something years ago, those IP's are not the mega sellers they once were. For every one Crash, Spyro, and Sly sold, Nintendo would easily double those numbers with Zelda and Mario alone.
@Preposterous I have to say im okay with games dating back 10 to 20 years ago being emulated. Half them are no longer profitable to the devs who made them in the first place. In that sense emulating them is not going to do a thing to anyone's pockets.
If I made a game today, then 20 years from now, I wouldn't care who emulated it. I'd just be happy there are still people out there trying to preserve it.
@Kitchener Agreed! I thought Bayo was more style over substance. It seem to me the devs were just going for giant action set pieces vs telling any meaningful story.
@Old_Man_Nintendo Does it matter? Snatcher is looking at both the good and bad to form their own overall opinion. Not letting just one lopsided opinion be the deciding factor.
Wow, I'm having flashbacks to people defending Hyrule Warriors: AOC. I remember people saying they were actually fine and "didn't" notice the fps dropping to 14 and lower.
Yeesh! Idk about you guys, but if I spend 300$ bucks on hardware, plus an additional 60$, I should atleast play a game and not have the momentum killed due to frame drops.
@gcunit Well you know how it is around here. If this were a first party Nintendo game or featuring any of it's iconic characters, then it would have gotten a 9 for sure.
@KryptoniteKrunch At one point do we admit the switch has performance issues? Even first party games have problems.
It's a system that requires alot of sacrifice just to get a stable performance. I love the switch, but ill admit the trade offs just arent worth it sometimes.
@Slinkoy1 Bowser is definitely going to kidnap peach for sure. Peach's only contribution to the film will be a montage of her trying to escape Bowers castle.
Nintendo is dead set on that kidnap princess plotline for everything. It would be nice if it is just Bowser terrorizing the mushroom Kingdom, but I doubt it.
One day another company other than bandai will get thier hands on the series, and finally give fans a game that isn't milking the OG saga to death with stale gameplay, bad graphics, and overall feeling of cheep cash-ins.

@EriXz Well you can say that about people who make games for a living.
If youtubers isn't a real job, then so isn't the people behind your favorite anime, movie, tv show, music, and games.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed
@dringosa Reminds me of a joke I had with an old friend of mine
Friend :"I hate dubs, Japanese voices are just superior."
Me: "Do you speak and understand Japanese?"
Friend: "No."
Me: "Then how do you know for sure half them aren't just phoning it in?"

Yep, that seems about right for Illumination films. Expecting anything more from a studio that doesn't even try, is wishful thinking.

Re: We've Played Sonic Frontiers, But What Did We Think Of It?
If it gets atleast a 7/10 then it will be atleast something good in a long while.
Generations was 3d Sonic's best outing to date, while Mania is Sonic's best game since his Genesis days.
If it turns out good, great! Maybe it will teach Sega to stick to a winning formula and refine it rather than just throw Sonic in whatever.
I have no interests in Sonic anymore, but Mania was a fun throwback. So let's see how the end result comes out for Frontiers.
