Re: Port Expert Virtuos Is "Excited" About New Switch Projects "This Summer And Beyond"

FragRed

@Slowdive I’m sure there are developers with access to the Switch Pro dev kits. I’m also sure there are some with incredibly early ideas on what the Switch successor will be outside Nintendo itself.

I’m just not buying into the idea there’s gonna be a Pro just yet. The world is struggling to get enough chips for computer contents let alone PS5 & Xbox Series X/S. Nintendo would really find it hard to get their systems on shelves. Think it’s better to wait till supply chains are more stable.

Re: UK Black Friday Game Sales Are Down This Year, But Switch Is On The Rise

@IronMan30 @ChaosBadger777 Nintendo would never leave the hardware race entirely even in some bizarre world where they did for some reason find themselves going third party. You can guarantee they would create controllers or accessories to the PlayStation and Xbox consoles that are required for their games. It's how they would roll.

@nhSnork There is no real need for Sony to ever consider handhelds again. The future is, given time, streaming which can be done from anyone’s phone (apart from iPhones) so why spend money creating dedicated hardware, spending money on creating a flow of software, marketing etc in a market where Nintendo dominates and is to eventually be overtaken by streaming?

Re: Hamster Announces More Than 15 Games For The Arcade Archives Series On Switch

FragRed

@HotGoomba When there’s no more arcade games to port. There’s thousands of games potentially available though how many are easy to license is another matter.

@JayJ I wonder if they sometimes jump the gun on announcing some titles before knowing whether or not they can actually port it. I get the impression looking at Wikipedia and the soon to be released section, that some titles that have been announced spent 2 years waiting to get released but never happened. Wonder how many have been announced but never saw light of day.

Re: Nintendo Is Reportedly Japan's Richest Company Of 2020

@GrailUK Even Sony is always on the lookout for more studios to acquire. It’s good business practice to grow, especially when you are in such a healthy position as Nintendo are right now. It will help them in the long run. Remember Nintendo depends on first party games to sell hardware more than either Sony or Microsoft.
