@johnvboy You still have a Game store? Woah I thought those were extinct. Ours went last year.

For just under £3, there’s really nothing to lose so bought the game. There’s something about N64 graphics I just love.

I bought the game this week on the Switch but not had a chance to play yet. I’m glad to see it’s seemingly sold well for the Switch.

@dew12333 This doesn’t seem to be affecting Nintendo U.K. They aren’t apparently being merged.

I’ll be buying this on the PS5. Bought all the other ones on the system and though they’re cringey, they’re also fun. Plus they’re a Ukrainian studio so want to support them.

When I look through the book I just feel envy he got to play all these games, even the crap ones.

I’m so out the loop with all that’s happening in the world of wrestling. I haven’t properly watched it in about 15 years. But I do enjoy playing the games, even if I have little idea of who the wrestlers are. I’m hoping this turns out well especially as it’s from Yuke

@alecseus Really? I know Microsoft acquisitions were rumoured before they were announced because the same thing happened but didn’t know it happened in Japan. Still, would Nintendo use someone who’s position was Managing Director of Sales for Europe to be the person you would send. Also the way it’s worded sounds like he was head hunted.

A lot of people on social media seemingly think this is leading to Nintendo buying Platinum Games. I don’t think that’s likely the case. I don’t think people from Nintendo move to the company they are to buy prior to the acquisition.

Yaname probably sees this as nothing than going up the ladder, something maybe he couldn’t do while at Nintendo.

@DiggleDog Nintendo have started naming their people after random places in the U.K. I am fully expecting a London, Glasgow and heck Milton Keynes to follow.

Since I’m meeting people I find boring, I’ll be spending my time playing Klonoa. I also bought Alien Isolation now it’s only £15. I played it back when it came out for PS4 but never finished it.

@Moistnado But they sold incredibly well so from a business perspective, it says bad ports sells.

This is incredibly sad news. Ocean were so iconic in the U.K. gaming scene during the 80s and early 90s. So many fond memories playing their games on the good ole Speccy. Even if the games were incredibly hard and not always good.

Who ever said Mario is for kids?! Maybe this is a hint at what the Mario movie will be like.

I’m here hoping for them to remaster the remaining classic Quake games and get them on Switch like they did with the first game.

I’ve got the LRG collection so I’ll be buying this on PC no matter what. I’m hugely excited because this is a direct sequel to LeChuck’s Revenge meaning we will finally get to see what Ron Gilbert had initially planned for the third game before leaving the studio.

If they receive western releases than yes I’m definitely interested. But I’m not holding my breath.

God, I forgot Coronation Street was still a thing… I guess when you’re stuck on a street like that, you need something like gaming to stop yourself going insane about the impending doom of never escaping. That’s how it works right?

I’m hoping this gets a U.K. physical release too. We do sometimes get screwed out of physical releases for some reason.

@AhabSpampurse I agree. That song is now stuck in my head. I can’t be bothered to link up my N64 so I kinda want to see that game added.

@HollowSpectre It’s annoying that only PlayStation allows to search and buy from the phone app. Neither Nintendo or Xbox allowing it is really poor in this day and age. Should have been there from day one.

This is hopefully reassuring because Japan has really struggled with the whole pandemic. Hoping it’s a sign of things getting better.

If enough developers take the same stance, maybe these types of publishers would stop trying to make NFTs a thing.

These numbers seem really low. I’m intrigued whether they made profit on these games, and which platform saw the biggest sales.

I can see someone coming and putting in a counter offer because they’re on the stock exchange. And this is all assuming it gets past anti monopoly commission

Oh yay more rumours and speculations from so called insiders. I’ll wait until it’s officially revealed before I believe any of this. Until then, I’ll continue playing on the PC.

@dmcc0 @westman98 That’s interesting to know about Nintendo not sharing digital data. Guess I can understand that from a business perspective.

It’s weird how the U.K. charts still haven’t incorporated the digital data figures into physical data. They have it on hand because they apparently publish it separately. It would be interesting to see how these charts would look if included.

Nintendo doesn’t buy studios unless they absolutely have to and even then they seem hesitant hence why so many have let go elsewhere or just left to go under. Problem is, they rely on these studios to do a huge amount of their games.

Never played the original but if it’s not like many N64 era games and managed to age well I’ll give it a go.

I already own it on PS4 and again on Xbox Series X because it came bundled with Chapter One. So I think I’ll pass on getting it again.

Okay now it’s been registered in the U.K. as well as Japan, it’s definitely meaning something. So I’m just curious what it actually means, as in is it just a new game, a remaster or remake of the first game again, or is it a collection?

At first I was really annoyed that it is only 480p but then I realised it’s to keep it in line with the resolution of the games.

Seriously though I doubt these episodes exist in their original format in anything high quality especially being they were created for children so probably not hugely expensive to produce. Just my thoughts so probably wrong

This is really sad news to hear. He created 2 very important consoles which created the Nintendo we know today. His legacy will live on forever. RIP.

What these companies always forget when going up against Nintendo with these kinds of devices is that the reason Nintendo sells so damn well in this space is because of their exclusive first party games.

@cool_guy_2021 @Medic_Alert @BionicDodo At some point I’ll be getting the Limited Run Games Monkey Island collection boxset. One of my all time favourite series. Remember playing the first 2 on the Amiga back in the day. Amazing times.

I’d be tempted if it were longer, even for an arcade game I feel 20 minutes is too short especially with the price tag it has.

@Gs69 They did! Loved my Amiga 600. Absolutely beast of a machine it was. Could probably throw that at someone and not only do damage to them but the system would still work afterwards 😂

@Gs69 It’s Commodore, what you expect? They did the exact same thing TWICE with the Amiga. The Commodore CD thing to rival the Philips CDi which was just a Amiga 500 without keyboard but with a CD drive and the Amiga CD32 console that was a bog standard 1200 with a CD drive but no keyboard. No wonder they went bankrupt 😂
