I did not care for the demo for this. It felt awkward and like there was not great ways to avoid getting hit and the weapons didn't feel fun or that different from each other
I'm worried because they're barely showing it and not even bothering to do voice over in the trailer like literally every other game in the direct had. It's been a middle of the direct dump a couple times now, and I personally think the prime games already aren't as good as 2D Metroid. But I'll get it and I'm sure get some enjoyment from it. Thinking of getting game vouchers for it and then paying the $10 upgrade cost but not sure what I'd use the other voucher on. Maybe Kirby and then get the $20 upgrade for that
This has been added to the game voucher list. Considering buying the pair and getting this and Kirby and the Forgotten world. Save $20 as opposed to Jay buying the switch 2 versions outright
I could maybe forgive the needed accessory IF the entire lineup was out day 1. I couldn't imaging owning this thing for 2 years and still only having like 7 of the available games
I really don't understand the "I don't like one thing so I'm giving up on everything" mindset. I didn't think it made any sense to re-release DKC Returns HD or whatever at all, let alone at the price they wanted. I hate that over the last 4 or 5 years Nintendo had really prioritized JRPG Xeno junk on the system. But I just don't buy that stuff. I don't say I'm done with Nintendo as a company because I don't agree with everything they do.
@Ichiban fart riders is a great idea. Different foods give different farts for speed boosts, leave behind a stench trail, or the Arby's Cheddar meal where you spin people out with your "i guess that wasn't just a fart" power
They didn't say that description is for Metroid Prime 4, it's the blanket of what makes a game T for Teen. Animated Violence, Blood, and In game purchases are the reasons MP4 got it, not depicting gambling or strong language
The comparisons to Nintendo are so dumb. Would you like Nintendo to make one game every 7 years and only employ 3 people? A Nintendo game doesn't need to just make enough to support a single college dorm room worth of people. It's supporting an entire company, including the people working on other games until those are done to pick up the cycle.
But why do you think you'd only shout the last word in Princess Peach: Showtime! or Warioware: Move It!? Not to mention an exclamation point after showtime or move it both seem like completely logical times to use one
I mean, 6 years is a long time to wait for something people backed on kickstarter. And I don't forgive them the "it's a 3 person team" argument either because they could hire people. But it's nice that they finally finished it. Of course they are already hyping post launch content before the game is out, just like some major developers who would be getting a hard time for doing the same thing
Giving Hollow Knight another go as I always bounce off early. Still not immediately loving it but this time am using a guide because the punishment for getting lost and dying early in the game is way too high. Hopefully if I make it far enough to get more items it will grab me
Having never played the original I'm not sold on this yet. I need to see that it has way more depth than what they showed. The parts I've seen look fun, but for like a couple of hours maybe.
7 for me because I've never played the original and while this looks fun it didn't convince me it's worth being the big holiday title of the Switch 2's first year
One of the best games ever made. It's a shame Nintendo didn't do right by the franchise after the first game. I was able to sell my copy for nearly $200 to help pay for my Switch 2
I didn't finish the Shinobi demo but what I played was pretty dull and certainly didn't make me feel like a ninja. Ragebound, even at 30fps, feels quicker and snappier.
Is so weird that for the last few years my PS5 has been miles better for action games than the Switch/S2 and the Switch has a billion dang RPGs i could not care less about
This is not last minute. They certainly plan all of these well in advance. The strategy the last number of directs, not counting the Switch 2 reveal or game specific ones for MKW or DKB has been to announce them the day before. This is right in line with what they've been doing. Also crazy to say Nintendo doesn't have much this year, when in a 6 month period they'll have Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, DragXDrive, Kirby Air Ride, potentially Metroid Prime 4, and while not exactly first party a Pokemon game. I have a PS5 as well which I enjoy and I think Sony literally has Ghost of Yotei and nothing else this year
On the one hand it would be nice if the other VAs knew they were being replaced (though I'm sure if they really cared about the role they would've realized it before launch), and on the other hand it's not like these characters have a ton of dialog so we're not losing iconic performances
@Toastmaster the Wii U's external hard drive support was awful. Even at the time it was hard to know if what you had would work, the system couldn't power it even with using both USB ports on top of that. It's made buying a hard drive for one these days basically impossible because no one sells externally powered drives now and barely anyone did at the time
He's making a product and he wants it to be the best product it can be. We would be so lucky if everyone making a product thought that way. If the main focus was creating art they wouldn't make enough money to stay in business or employ people
You can put WW ahead of Chibi and I wouldn't fight you if you had Sunshine ahead of it,but nothing else on this list comes close. I think people may start to realize the entire F-Zero catalog stinks and there is a good reason they don't get made anymore
@DwaynesGames twice I logged in, won my first match which gives you 100 points so you instantly unlock the theme and then turned off the system. It’s crazy because I only have like 11 wins total.
I’m looking forward to the game but that was not a good trailer. So slow in the pacing and it’s starts with ‘scan everything to get doors to open’ and ended with ‘use telekinesis to open doors’. Love door opening gameplay

Re: Review: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch) - Still Out Of This World
How could they "represent 3D Mario at its absolute peak" and be 9/10?
Re: Review: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch) - Still Out Of This World
@vyseofhr it was docked a point
Re: Hands On: Resident Evil Requiem Switch 2 Footage - A Surprisingly Tense Port
Since my Sony electronics (TV, PS5, and PSVR2) were the only things that died in a lightning strike I'm glad this is shaping up well for Switch 2

Finally getting around to Brothership
Re: Nintendo Adds One Of The Most Divisive Zelda Entries To 'Nintendo Music'
Nothing divisive about the music though, it slaps. The game gets goofily difficult and wildly unfair toward the end which makes it not very good
Re: Team Cherry Explains Hollow Knight: Silksong's "Steep Difficulty"
Would make sense if you weren't punished severely for not going back to where you died in these games

By far the best part of the direct

Every direct i just say, "please don't end with some lame JRPG like fire emblem" and yet I know 95% of directs end with some lame jrpg
