The first three levels are the most difficult, because Pit is at his weakest. Once you hit that first fortress, you can grind a little bit and buy upgrades in the shop.

@jfp Fair point, but I still don’t think it looks good. They should add the option to toggle off the blur (if it isn’t already an option).

@sanderev The blur is only a stylistic choice due to a limitation of their tools and the hardware. More of a compromise than a purposeful decision.

I was hoping they could improve it for Echoes of Wisdom.

I have finished both games, but find it a little distracting.

I wonder if they can fix the blur on the edges of the screen for Link’s Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom.

I am still playing regularly, but I am sort of between games. One part busy and one part waiting for Switch 2. 😊

@graviton It might be that they remember the last interaction you had. Not sure.

When they have been on my family members islands and move back to my island they are like, “Hey, remember meeting on that other island.” And I am thinking, “Actually, I met you on my island first.”

@graviton And it sort of takes me out of the game when they move away, move back, and then don’t remember already knowing me from before.

Having a larger variety of villagers move in would help, not just the ones that I have interacted with on other islands (which are often ones that already started on my island).

That said, I can accept that the continuity is already broken when Teddy is on both my island and a family members island.

@AussieMcBucket Nice! I have small work benches scattered around my island. I am never too far from one (and for visitors too).

I also have a few storage units placed around the island (which you can also carry in your pockets). 😊

Bulk crafting for sure! The crafting animation would not be so bad if you could craft items in bulk. 😊

I play Animal Crossing and Mario Kart with family in different cities, so this would be a nice change from talking over our phones.

However, I think I will be the only one with a Switch 2 at launch. 😂

Over time, though, I could see us doing this.

@Lism_Doolan Do you know if the GameCube controller sold out in NA? I haven’t received the email invite. Now (May 13th) it is listed as being available on June 5th.

And the steering wheels still say “Invite Required”. I expected everything to be be open for pre-order to NSO members after May 12th. Guess I am missing something. Thanks. 🙂

EDIT: I was able to but the NSO GameCube controller later in the day! 😊 The steering wheel, though, is still invite only.

I have a preorder with GameStop, but I still want to pick up a GameCube controller (which is also by invitation).

It really is a big deal. We never had Virtual Console GameCube games.

@Vectrex The HD version also allows 12 pictures in the camera instead of just 3. The camera side quest is much more doable in the HD version.

But yeah, I will still probably run through the main game on NSO. 😊

It will sell well, but many will wait due to the higher price. Such as save up for it as a family Christmas gift.

I played a lot of Simpsons Hit-n-Run (even replaying it on the Wii)!

And Super Monkey Ball 1&2. 😊

But I voted for Nintendo Puzzle Collection (which I had always hoped would come to the west), Rogue Squadron 2, and Animal Crossing.

Not at the top of my list, but it would be neat to see some of the Mario Party games added.

@romanista @jetsetradion Agreed, it has taken a long time, but we now have a pretty robust library.

I feel like it is overshadowed by the Switch 2 (understandably), but getting GameCube NSO is a big deal. The players have been asking for this for a long time. And we never got GameCube virtual console games either.

My daughters grew up with the GameCube and we are very excited to play Chibi-Robo! again. 😊

The Mario Kart World bundle is already sort of an ambassador program with a reduced price.

The Direct did get me more interested in playing the game. Without the bundle option, I would prefer it be $70, but probably not enough to wait for a sale. Having the bundle option helps a lot!

I thought BOTW was a bargain for $60.

I thought Link’s Awakening HD was overpriced at $60, but the game sold very well. Personally, I waited for a used copy for less than $45.

We shall see what the missions are like in the free roam sections, but I am hoping it will be like the challenges in Lego City Undercover.

@dartmonkey Any concerns of the Joy-Con 2 connectors on the tablet breaking or bending?

EDIT: Alex addresses this around the 25:37 mark. He thinks that they are well protected mechanically and doesn’t think it will be a problem. ☺️

@Maxz Your point is still a good one. Many retailers may not care who buys the products, as long as they are sold. I feel this would be particularly true for online retailers.

@dazzleshell I had a problem with my Switch Pro Controller D-Pad. They might have addressed it with new revs, but it made playing things like Tetris difficult when it would register a direction that I wasn’t intentionally pressing (like Down and Right when I was only pressing Down).

@Maxz Not a naive question at all. The only financial motive that I could think of is wanting to build good relations and loyalty with individual customers. This sounds like genuine concern on wanting to give many customers a positive experience. ☺️

@Mana_Knight @JohnnyMind Scalpers will probably target the Mario Kart World bundles. Those could sell for more, but still remain cheaper than buying the items individually.

Otherwise, I agree. The Switch 2 should be easier to get at launch than the OG Switch at its launch.

I wonder if battle mode will be more open too, a la Fortnite.

@Bizzyb Same! I wonder if the Battle mode will take the Fortnite approach where the battle ground area is large to begin with and then shrinks.
