The first three levels are the most difficult, because Pit is at his weakest. Once you hit that first fortress, you can grind a little bit and buy upgrades in the shop.
@graviton It might be that they remember the last interaction you had. Not sure.
When they have been on my family members islands and move back to my island they are like, “Hey, remember meeting on that other island.” And I am thinking, “Actually, I met you on my island first.”
@graviton And it sort of takes me out of the game when they move away, move back, and then don’t remember already knowing me from before.
Having a larger variety of villagers move in would help, not just the ones that I have interacted with on other islands (which are often ones that already started on my island).
That said, I can accept that the continuity is already broken when Teddy is on both my island and a family members island.
@Lism_Doolan Do you know if the GameCube controller sold out in NA? I haven’t received the email invite. Now (May 13th) it is listed as being available on June 5th.
And the steering wheels still say “Invite Required”. I expected everything to be be open for pre-order to NSO members after May 12th. Guess I am missing something. Thanks. 🙂
EDIT: I was able to but the NSO GameCube controller later in the day! 😊 The steering wheel, though, is still invite only.
@romanista @jetsetradion Agreed, it has taken a long time, but we now have a pretty robust library.
I feel like it is overshadowed by the Switch 2 (understandably), but getting GameCube NSO is a big deal. The players have been asking for this for a long time. And we never got GameCube virtual console games either.
My daughters grew up with the GameCube and we are very excited to play Chibi-Robo! again. 😊
@-wc- You got a chuckle out of me. I might have been that kid on occasion. 😂
The Direct did get me more interested in playing the game. Without the bundle option, I would prefer it be $70, but probably not enough to wait for a sale. Having the bundle option helps a lot!
I thought BOTW was a bargain for $60.
I thought Link’s Awakening HD was overpriced at $60, but the game sold very well. Personally, I waited for a used copy for less than $45.
@ZonaiResearcher @ShonenJump121 @SBandy1 @Lizuka The camera side quest, too, was improved. The camera only holds three pictures in the original and 12 pictures on the Wii U version.
@Maxz Your point is still a good one. Many retailers may not care who buys the products, as long as they are sold. I feel this would be particularly true for online retailers.
@dazzleshell I had a problem with my Switch Pro Controller D-Pad. They might have addressed it with new revs, but it made playing things like Tetris difficult when it would register a direction that I wasn’t intentionally pressing (like Down and Right when I was only pressing Down).
@Maxz Not a naive question at all. The only financial motive that I could think of is wanting to build good relations and loyalty with individual customers. This sounds like genuine concern on wanting to give many customers a positive experience. ☺️
Edit: @Wisestfool beat me to the reply. Just saw that response after not refreshing until after my post. 🙂
@Mana_Knight @JohnnyMind Scalpers will probably target the Mario Kart World bundles. Those could sell for more, but still remain cheaper than buying the items individually.
Otherwise, I agree. The Switch 2 should be easier to get at launch than the OG Switch at its launch.

@Pillowpants Well said! 💯
Re: Nintendo Music's Latest Update Celebrates Another NES Classic, Here's Every Song Included
@AnonyQ Totally! A lot of fun. 😊

Re: Nintendo Music's Latest Update Celebrates Another NES Classic, Here's Every Song Included
Reaper’s Theme is stress inducing! 😉
Re: 12 Switch Games Are Getting Free Switch 2 Upgrades, Here's What You Can Expect
@jfp Thanks for helping me to understand the issue with the blur better. 🙂
And I agree, they probably won’t make it an option.
Re: 12 Switch Games Are Getting Free Switch 2 Upgrades, Here's What You Can Expect
@jfp Fair point, but I still don’t think it looks good. They should add the option to toggle off the blur (if it isn’t already an option).
Re: 12 Switch Games Are Getting Free Switch 2 Upgrades, Here's What You Can Expect
@sanderev The blur is only a stylistic choice due to a limitation of their tools and the hardware. More of a compromise than a purposeful decision.
I was hoping they could improve it for Echoes of Wisdom.
I have finished both games, but find it a little distracting.
Re: 12 Switch Games Are Getting Free Switch 2 Upgrades, Here's What You Can Expect
I wonder if they can fix the blur on the edges of the screen for Link’s Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom.
Re: Random: Switch 2's Controller Settings Hide A Neat Musical Secret
A step closer to Mario Paint. 😉
Re: Talking Point: Are You Ghosting Switch 1 To Save Yourself For Switch 2?
I am still playing regularly, but I am sort of between games. One part busy and one part waiting for Switch 2. 😊

Re: Talking Point: How Can The Next Animal Crossing Improve Crafting?
@AussieMcBucket Nice! I have small work benches scattered around my island. I am never too far from one (and for visitors too).
I also have a few storage units placed around the island (which you can also carry in your pockets). 😊
Re: Talking Point: How Can The Next Animal Crossing Improve Crafting?
Bulk crafting for sure! The crafting animation would not be so bad if you could craft items in bulk. 😊
Re: Talking Point: Are You Excited At All For Switch 2 GameChat?
I play Animal Crossing and Mario Kart with family in different cities, so this would be a nice change from talking over our phones.
However, I think I will be the only one with a Switch 2 at launch. 😂
Over time, though, I could see us doing this.

Re: Stunning 'Animal Well: Design Works' Book Announced By Lost In Cult
@canaryfarmer @Navi I had just decided to finally buy the game. Looking forward to it.
Re: PSA: My Nintendo Store Switch 2 Invites Are Starting To Roll Out
@davowayman I thought the UK already had their invites. The invites for the US and Canada were delayed.
Re: Nintendo Shares More Footage Of Zelda: Wind Waker On Switch 2
@Scarmucci Nope, no invitation for me yet. Though, I registered my interest later in the day.
I have a preorder with GameStop, but I still want to pick up a GameCube controller (which is also by invitation).
Re: Nintendo Shares More Footage Of Zelda: Wind Waker On Switch 2
It really is a big deal. We never had Virtual Console GameCube games.
Re: Arcade Archives 'Super Xevious' Releases Today On Nintendo Switch
@DonkeyKongBigBoy Great question! Same for me. I love this genre, but I am rubbish at it. 😂
Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying Any Game-Key Card Switch 2 Games?
With the Game Share feature, I am considering going mostly digital.
Re: Poll: Which Switch 2 Accessories Are You Picking Up At Launch?
Am I buying the GameCube controller only to have analog triggers for Sunshine’s F.L.U.D.D.? Yes, yes I am. 🤓
Re: Poll: Which Switch 2 Accessories Are You Picking Up At Launch?
@jake1421 Good question. I don’t think it has been confirmed yet (i.e if the Switch 2 controller will work with Switch 1).
Re: Poll: Which Switch 2 Accessories Are You Picking Up At Launch?
Screen protector.
Re: Random: Missed Out On A Switch 2 Pre-Order? Sakurai Has The Perfect Solution
The Virtual Boy LEDs also wipe your memory. 😉
Re: Video: Nintendo Shares More Footage Of Zelda: Wind Waker For Switch Online
@Vectrex The HD version also allows 12 pictures in the camera instead of just 3. The camera side quest is much more doable in the HD version.
But yeah, I will still probably run through the main game on NSO. 😊
Re: Analyst Predicts Record-Breaking Launch Numbers For Switch 2
It will sell well, but many will wait due to the higher price. Such as save up for it as a family Christmas gift.
Re: Community: 38 Switch Games We Missed, As Recommended By You
Most of these are new to me. Thanks! 😊
Re: Poll: So, Did You Manage To Get A Switch 2 Pre-Order In? (North America)
Since I got my pre-order, I will forgo the Nintendo invite. Hopefully, someone else can benefit from the Nintendo reserves. 😊
Re: Poll: So, Did You Manage To Get A Switch 2 Pre-Order In? (North America)
@Scarmucci Yeah, I ended up going physically to GameStop since the website was bogged. Got the bundle pre-ordered. 😊
Re: eBay Is Already Flooded With Switch 2 Pre-Orders At Ridiculous Prices
The Mario Kart World bundle may net them up to $30 profit, but that is all.
Re: Feature: 27 GameCube Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch 2 NSO
@ElkinFencer10 No worries! They announced a lot. And quickly. Blink, and you miss it. 😂
For reference (for everyone):
At launch:
Confirmed for later:
Re: Feature: 27 GameCube Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch 2 NSO
@ElkinFencer10 Yeah, I don’t think they are including the games that have already been confirmed by Nintendo in the direct.
Re: Feature: 27 GameCube Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch 2 NSO
I played a lot of Simpsons Hit-n-Run (even replaying it on the Wii)!
And Super Monkey Ball 1&2. 😊
But I voted for Nintendo Puzzle Collection (which I had always hoped would come to the west), Rogue Squadron 2, and Animal Crossing.
Re: Feature: 27 GameCube Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch 2 NSO
Not at the top of my list, but it would be neat to see some of the Mario Party games added.

Re: Mailbox: Switch 2 Price Drops, Remake Replacements, Pokémon Acquisitions - Nintendo Life Letters
@NintendoWife @Ogbert The 3D visuals in Samus Returns were some of the best I have seen on the 3DS. 😊
Re: Mailbox: Switch 2 Price Drops, Remake Replacements, Pokémon Acquisitions - Nintendo Life Letters
The Mario Kart World bundle is already sort of an ambassador program with a reduced price.
But I understand if people still see this as too much.

Re: Nintendo Direct: Mario Kart World: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
We shall see what the missions are like in the free roam sections, but I am hoping it will be like the challenges in Lego City Undercover.
Re: Nintendo Confirms Duration For Tomorrow's Mario Kart World Direct
@Anti-Matter @GinMiguel @kalosn @PikminMarioKirby @GrailUK For $80, I want 120 shrines and 999 hidden Toads. 😉
Re: Nintendo Confirms Duration For Tomorrow's Mario Kart World Direct
@GrailUK Nice ideas! You are right, the track builder may be a reality with mouse controls. 🤔
Fortnite like battle mode was also my prediction. 🙂

Re: Watch: Got Questions About Switch 2? Ask Alex - Live!
@dartmonkey Any concerns of the Joy-Con 2 connectors on the tablet breaking or bending?
EDIT: Alex addresses this around the 25:37 mark. He thinks that they are well protected mechanically and doesn’t think it will be a problem. ☺️

Re: Opinion: It's Been 20 Years Since I Was This Excited For A Mario Kart
I wonder if battle mode will be more open too, a la Fortnite.
Re: Mario Kart World Is Reportedly The Smoothest Entry Yet
@Bizzyb Same! I wonder if the Battle mode will take the Fortnite approach where the battle ground area is large to begin with and then shrinks.
