Having it added to NSO would also be a good alternative. But for those that don’t want to rent games on NSO - $10 is a fair price.

I think it was IGN’s Logan Plant that had the theory that this was probably designed to be an addition to Switch Sports, but they decided to make it its own game.

I thought for sure one of the poll answers would be, “I will wait for the official announcement.” LOL

@enderman0125 I don’t think the game will come bundled. At least, the box art isn’t showing it.

So I just bought the choose-your-game bundle for my niece and nephew (for a Christmas present).

Now I am wondering if I should pay extra for Mario Kart and the Switch 2 - just to get them this edition. 🤔

More power to them, but I wish it was in January to include all of the 2026 games.

Maybe this will be the Metroid Prime game that I finish, LOL.

I know many would urge devs like this just to make their own original game.

However, making an original game from scratch is easier said than done.

Tackling projects like this gives them some direction and a fun goal to work towards. It also lets them practice their game development skills. 😊

Both this and Cyberpunk had launches that were a bit below expectations — and both developers worked hard to make them much better games. I know it was probably a lot of long hours for all involved. Their dedication and commitment are above and beyond the expectations. 😊

@sikthvash @jfp Totally. I know it can be frustrating for fans visiting Japan, but I think the lottery system is an equitable way to sell tickets.

Rich or poor - everyone has a chance to get a ticket.

I’ve been thinking of buying a 3rd party headset to try these out on. Has a strap to stay on your head. Much cheaper than the full plastic kit.

The lenses are the largest expense for this kit.

For First Party titles, we did get a Miitopia port from 3DS to Switch. And probably some Wii/Wii U games that also had 3DS versions, like Donkey Kong Country.

@Sausage_patty I really enjoyed Samus Returns. Some of the best 3D on the 3DS. I would love to see a Switch port (along with a Kid Icarus: Uprising port). 🙂

Until the Direct was announced for Fire Emblem, I thought something might get shadow dropped (like Mario Maker 2 with mouse controls).

@neogyo @JJtheTexan I’ve gotten 1st once early after its release. There were more players and fewer experts.

Now I feel good being in the top 20 and really good if I am in the top 10.

It was easier to get first with Mario 35 since you were only competing against 35 people. A better chance of being with people at your skill level. However, I also got that one early on. 🙂

@neogyo Any that you are missing and can exchange for tickets will show up in the list of themes with a ticket icon. It is pretty clear. You just need to scroll through the list. 🙂

Almost certainly a Splatoon Raiders theme will come.

If the Switch 2 ever becomes cheaper to manufacture, Nintendo could reduce the price to improve sales.

In the short term, manufacturing won’t be cheaper. Possibly tarrifs could be reduced or removed.

As I understand it, they probably can’t bring Mother 3 to the West without changing the music. Too similar to licensed music.

Before the remake, Thousand-Year Door was ~$100+ to purchase.

In defense of the European box art, I like that it looks like the logo is coming out of the speaker.

But I still voted for the Rainbow one. Simplicity works. 🙂
