@xmkbest I had the same thought. A vertical screen flip grip type thing.
Since the Switch 2 is heavy. It could be something that rests on the table and keeps the screen secure. You could hold a Joycon in one hand and touch the screen with the other.
@FrenchVaniIIuxe I totally agree. More Nintendo themed Picross games, please.
In addition to the two Mario games, we had Pokemon Picross and Twilight Princess Picross (both on 3DS). Any other Nintendo themed ones that I am missing?
@Coolmusic @hYdeks @Dang_69 @The21zonz @Anachronism @TCKuma @AussieMcBucket @IronMan30 @dux @ShadLink @PepperMintRex I agree with all of your comments. It can just be an animated short and nothing more.
It would be nice if you got a discount on new titles after multiple Arcade Archive purchases. I’ve probably spent over $100 on Arcade Archive games up to this point. They need a loyalty program.
I have to limit my purchases to ones that I really think are worth the premium prices. There are sales on some titles, but most never get a reduced price.
Namco games do go on sale, though, so I will add this to my wish list.
@Pixitis I don’t disagree with you. Hamster deserves to be paid for this excellent work.
However, a lower price point could lead to increased sales. So they would make less per sale, but could potentially make up the difference in volume sold.
That said, I am sure they have analyzed the price points quite a bit. 🙂
@LinktotheFuture I know it isn’t a ton of money, but it is premium pricing for a single ROM.
I prefer bulk purchases in collections. The Namco Museum is often on sale for about $5. 11 titles for less than the price of a single Arcade Archive release.
Thanks for publishing my letter. I do appreciate the humor. 😂
@XiaoShao I like your theory on the missing Disney Afternoon Collection. It is probably difficult to renegotiate a contract with Disney, Capcom, and Digital Eclipse.
I do have the collection on Steam, but I mostly don’t play games on my PC. I would buy it again on Switch. 😊
@KoopaTheGamer I totally agree with you. Nobody should feel bad for their purchases. It is a personal decision.
I decided to wait a month for Link’s Awakening and bought a used copy for $45 (including taxes and shipping). But I think I was in the minority. I do wonder if Nintendo learned the wrong lessons.
I know it is apples to oranges, but I feel the Switch fan base lost this war when they bought a Game Boy game for $60 (Link’s Awakening HD remake).
A lot of people worked hard on that game and I don’t want to diminish their work. However, it should have been $40, or $50 if Nintendo wanted to push the threshold. But A LOT of people did buy it day one.
Congratulations! What a great idea. I think it is time for a revisit. 😊
I was 9 in 1985. It blew my mind the first time I saw it at a neighbors house. I still appreciate games like Pitfall, but what a leap forward Super Mario Bros. was in comparison. Core memory. ❤️

Re: Dragon Quest Creator Yuji Horii Has Been Awarded One Of Japan's Highest Honours
@Truegamer79 And if you are looking for a more modern and lengthy experience, then give Dragon Quest 11 a try.
Re: Dragon Quest Creator Yuji Horii Has Been Awarded One Of Japan's Highest Honours
@Truegamer79 If you don’t mind spending the money, definitely go for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. 😊
You can always sell the physical version after you finish it or if you don’t like it.
Re: Opinion: Animal Crossing On Switch 2 Has Me Equal Parts Buzzing And Baffled
I would like a completely LEGO version of Animal Crossing. 😊
Re: Nintendo Seems To Be Uploading Old Nintendo Power Covers To Nintendo Today!
@foursider @SplatRay001 The first issue of Nintendo Power has an article about people in Japan lining up to buy Dragon Quest III. 😊❤️
Re: Nintendo Seems To Be Uploading Old Nintendo Power Covers To Nintendo Today!
Bring instruction manuals to NSO, please.
Re: Everything Included In The Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition & Free 3.0 Update
And from Jim’s other article: Also, BULK CRAFTING!!!!! 😊❤️
Re: Surprise! Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Arrives Next Year
Nintendo buried the headline.
Thanks for mentioning it Jim: Also, BULK CRAFTING!!!!! 😊❤️

@Magician @Wewewi My brother and I had discovered a piece of the map that was good for finding Gold Golems. 😊

I just started Dark Moon HD. 😊
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library Next Week With A Spooky Classic
I’ll play this again. 😊
The 3DS version is also a very good port.
Re: Nintendo's Trademarking 'Virtual Console' Again, But Don't Get Your Hopes Up
@RCGamer I would like NSO to add instruction manual scans. Let me read the manuals on my TV or on the Switch screen.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Patent Supposedly Points To Return Of DS Games
@xmkbest Right. And since both Joycon have mouse mode, they could include ambidextrous control options. 🙂

Re: Community: 32 Switch Games We Missed, As Recommended By You
It didn’t make the cut, but check out Arcade Archives: VOLFIED, which is a sequel to Qix.
Re: Nintendo Download: 9th October (North America)
I haven’t bought any EGGCONSOLE games, but it seems like they are doing similar work as Arcade Archives, but with Japanese home computer games.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Three More Titles
@BrazillianCara One game I’d like added is Tetris & Dr. Mario (half of it is a first party title 😉).
Re: Mario's Super Picross Has Got Some Rather Lovely NSO Icons

Sometimes good story telling leaves things up to the imagination. 😊
Re: Poll: So, Did You Get Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 For Switch?
@cdubbed I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing. 3D All Stars will be redundant once Sunshine is added to NSO.
Re: Nintendo Denies Lobbying Japanese Government Over AI, Will "Take Necessary Actions" Over IP Rights
@jojobar My brother doesn’t have much motivation to read any books that are published after 2020 (because of AI).
Good thing I have a backlog of books to read. 😊

Black Friday…

The Japan box art is too dark.
Re: Talking Point: Can Metroid Prime 4's Title Screen Go As Hard As The Others?
Metroid: Samus Returns has some of the best 3D visuals on 3DS (including the title screen).

Re: The Next Arcade Archives Release Will Have Mouse Controls On Switch 1 & 2
@Suketoudara I am here for it when it does release. Best of luck to the devs!!! 😊
Re: The Next Arcade Archives Release Will Have Mouse Controls On Switch 1 & 2
@Suketoudara Now I am sad that Mouse Work isn’t out yet. 😉
Re: Review: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch) - Still Out Of This World
@Member_the_game Similar for me. I may wait to see some Black Friday discounts.
The visual enhancements may justify getting Galaxy 1 again. 😊
Re: Review: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch) - Still Out Of This World
@MTMike87 Same, I will pick this up probably by the end of the year.
I have 3D All Stars and Galaxy 2 (Wii U), but I will buy this collection for the visual updates (for both). 🙂

Re: Square Enix Shares Close-Ups Of Stunning Chrono Trigger Character Artwork
Is the mobile version any good? Could that be ported to Switch (if they aren’t bringing the SNES version to NSO)?
I should still have my DS copy somewhere.
Re: Nintendo Highlights Super Mario's Game History In 40th Anniversary Timeline
I am finally playing the 38 e-Reader levels of Super Mario 3 in the NSO GBA game (Super Mario Advance 4).
These are like Mario Maker levels before Mario Maker. I am definitely using rewind to pass them. 🙂
Re: Nickelodeon Splat Pack Revives Multiple SNES Titles In One Retro Collection
They should call it The Nickelodeon Afternoon Collection. 😬
RIP NES Disney

I hope the Galaxy collection is just as great.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Switch Comparison Video Makes Nintendo's Upgrades Clearer
@TrueBlueYoshi I’ll probably get the double pack physically.
I am interested if my 3D All Stars save can carry over. I finished Galaxy 1 as Mario, but wanted to return to it someday to replay it as Luigi.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time
@GoldenSunRM @mariomaster96 DK + DLC = $90 is a bit of a shock.
I would feel better if it was a DLC pass that included future expansions, but they have not indicated this at all (yet).
And I don’t believe it is “free” DLC with the NSO subscriptions.
For now, the base game is enough for me. 😊
Re: Opinion: I'm Celebrating Super Mario Bros.' 40th Anniversary By Finally Finishing It
Without the multiple 1up trick on the staircase, I don’t think I could beat this game without using warp zones (or save states and rewinds).

Can my save file for the All Stars Collection carry over for Galaxy 1? I doubt it, but it would be really cool if it could.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
It will never happen: Disney Afternoon Collection. 😢
Just an NES collection that is 8+ years old and still not on any Nintendo device.
I’ll keep banging the drum.

@AverageGamer Luigi’s Mansion on NSO (in October).
