I am enjoying the p-switch missions, but they need to mark things that you find on the map (like BOTW).

And give a few markers that I can put down (like BOTW).

@JohnnyMind Unfortunately, things that you collect are not marked on the map. P-Switch missions that you try are also not marked on the map. So if you fail and decide to try later, you may not remember where it was. ☹️

BOTW marked shrines that you found. Plus you had markers you could place on the map. None of those features are here.

I hope that they fix this in a future update.

@Exerion76 Dang. I know it is a hassle, but I wonder if Nintendo could fix/replace it. This is a major purchase. You deserve to have a better working device.

It looks great to me, but I will take people at their word if they are having screen issues.

I am surprised with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Tour, and World that we never got a New Donk City course.

I bought the $20 Savage Raven travel case, but it hasn’t arrived yet.

Eventually I will get a larger case that can store the dock.

Not Sega, but I wish Fitness Boxing had an upgrade path. I imagine the licensed music makes each iteration need to be full price.

I paid $10 for Welcome Tour, but saved $30 with the Mario Kart World bundle.

Honest question for those that think Welcome Tour should have been a pack-in title. Would you get rid of the Mario Kart bundle? I can’t see them having two pack-in games.

@Suketoudara 1-2 Switch as a pack-in absolutely would have raised the console price by $50. I am glad they didn’t do that.

And no judgement of people who have decided against it or that have decided to wait.

I prefer Mario Kart World as the pack-in game.

@Vyacheslav333 It is also part of the reason early home ports of Donkey Kong and Pac-Man were difficult to make. They needed to get a vertical screen squashed down for horizontal TVs.

I prefer just saying vertical and horizontal, but Tate is here to stay.

@Gohanjin I’m not a fan of the blur effect either. If it is a tilt shift effect, they should give the option to disable it.

Seems like it would be more effective for cut scenes or zoomed out shots. Things close to my character should not be blurred.

@KidRyan I can’t see them ever making this free, unless they refund early adopters.

With the Switch, we haven’t seen permanent discounts of first party titles.

@anzzjam Other than some Switch game enhancements, Mario Kart World and Welcome Tour are the only new first party games available at launch.

Donkey Kong Bananza is mid-July. So not too far out.

And you have GameCube games being added for the NSO expansion pass (at launch).

For people on a friends/family plan - you only need to buy one copy and share the virtual game cart (of course, you can only share when you are locally together).

There is already a pack-in game. The Mario Kart World bundle.

The $500 Mario Kart World bundle will be a much larger system seller than including Welcome Tour as a pack-in.

The Switch 2 hardware is more powerful than most of us expected. I don’t know if they are selling the console at a loss, but I bet they are not making much off the console. They probably don’t have the margins to even include a $10 game at launch (Holiday bundles are different).

Welcome Tour will not be the killer app that sells systems.

And yes, they could raise the console cost by $10, but this way the console is cheaper and people have a choice if they want to buy it or not.

Paying for a ‘tech demo’ is not the same thing as paying for a ‘game demo’.

Calling it a demo is too reductive.

Including Welcome Tour with NSO is a great idea. They could also allow it to be purchased for those that don’t want to subscribe (or that want to own it).

If 1-2 Switch had been a pack-in title, the price of the Switch would have been $350, not $300. I am glad we were not forced to buy that game. I prefer having a choice.

Reggie pushed hard for Wii Sports to be included. In Japan, Wii Sports was not a pack-in title.

And Wii Sports was a special kind of magic. Nintendo Land and 1-2 Switch were not killer apps. I will buy Welcome Tour, but I doubt it will match the popularity of Wii Sports.

However, I hope they change the virtual cartridges so that we can share games over WiFi with our friends. My kids and my brothers live in different cities.

I am considering going all digital, but that is my one hang up. I am not a collector, but I do like to share my games.

@adh56 I think when you get the 30 tickets, you will have the option to unlock it from the themes page.

It had been a long time, but it should be similar to how you unlock the built-in themes (which are 15 tickets each).

If you still can’t unlock it after 30 tickets, make sure you have the latest update installed.

Besides bundles, has Nintendo ever discounted the subscription? I got six months of HBO Max for cheap in a Black Friday sale.

@IronMan30 Agreed. And the family plan is nice. I pay the subscription and share it with several family members.

I can also understand, though, if someone decides to not subscribe or only subscribe for a short time.

It is a bit of a gaming paradox. I collect all of the themes, but only return to play Tetris 99 in order to collect the new theme. So I never play the collected themes, except for when I unlock them.

@RID1EY I think Special Theme 21 is Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It was a difficult theme to play. The blocks blended in with the background making the gaps difficult to see at a glance.

@HammerGalladeBro Kirby Fighters 2 is one of my favorites. I didn’t even play the game, but the blocks are easy to see with the background (and I like the music).

@batmanbud2 Not sure how much of it is true, but I heard that Love Hotels might not be so scandalous. In small homes with multi-generational families living together, a Love Hotel could be a way for a couple to get some privacy and alone time. 🙂
