Thanks for publishing my letter. I do appreciate the humor. 😂
@XiaoShao I like your theory on the missing Disney Afternoon Collection. It is probably difficult to renegotiate a contract with Disney, Capcom, and Digital Eclipse.
I do have the collection on Steam, but I mostly don’t play games on my PC. I would buy it again on Switch. 😊
@KoopaTheGamer I totally agree with you. Nobody should feel bad for their purchases. It is a personal decision.
I decided to wait a month for Link’s Awakening and bought a used copy for $45 (including taxes and shipping). But I think I was in the minority. I do wonder if Nintendo learned the wrong lessons.
I know it is apples to oranges, but I feel the Switch fan base lost this war when they bought a Game Boy game for $60 (Link’s Awakening HD remake).
A lot of people worked hard on that game and I don’t want to diminish their work. However, it should have been $40, or $50 if Nintendo wanted to push the threshold. But A LOT of people did buy it day one.
Congratulations! What a great idea. I think it is time for a revisit. 😊
I was 9 in 1985. It blew my mind the first time I saw it at a neighbors house. I still appreciate games like Pitfall, but what a leap forward Super Mario Bros. was in comparison. Core memory. ❤️
@countzero @Lanmanna There are parallels to artist making game art just based on the title/genre and AI art being generated based on a similar prompt, LOL.
Of course, I will always prefer the real artists over AI. 🙂
@Not_Soos I thought the same thing. I am hoping it is a translation or localization issue, but confiding in Cheebo that she lives with freaks was pretty harsh. 😬

Re: Square Enix Shares Close-Ups Of Stunning Chrono Trigger Character Artwork
Is the mobile version any good? Could that be ported to Switch (if they aren’t bringing the SNES version to NSO)?
I should still have my DS copy somewhere.
Re: Nintendo Highlights Super Mario's Game History In 40th Anniversary Timeline
I am finally playing the 38 e-Reader levels of Super Mario 3 in the NSO GBA game (Super Mario Advance 4).
These are like Mario Maker levels before Mario Maker. I am definitely using rewind to pass them. 🙂
Re: Nickelodeon Splat Pack Revives Multiple SNES Titles In One Retro Collection
They should call it The Nickelodeon Afternoon Collection. 😬
RIP NES Disney

I hope the Galaxy collection is just as great.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Switch Comparison Video Makes Nintendo's Upgrades Clearer
@TrueBlueYoshi I’ll probably get the double pack physically.
I am interested if my 3D All Stars save can carry over. I finished Galaxy 1 as Mario, but wanted to return to it someday to replay it as Luigi.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time
@GoldenSunRM @mariomaster96 DK + DLC = $90 is a bit of a shock.
I would feel better if it was a DLC pass that included future expansions, but they have not indicated this at all (yet).
And I don’t believe it is “free” DLC with the NSO subscriptions.
For now, the base game is enough for me. 😊
Re: Opinion: I'm Celebrating Super Mario Bros.' 40th Anniversary By Finally Finishing It
Without the multiple 1up trick on the staircase, I don’t think I could beat this game without using warp zones (or save states and rewinds).

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time
Can my save file for the All Stars Collection carry over for Galaxy 1? I doubt it, but it would be really cool if it could.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
It will never happen: Disney Afternoon Collection. 😢
Just an NES collection that is 8+ years old and still not on any Nintendo device.
I’ll keep banging the drum.

Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025
The lowest hanging fruit is Mario Kart World updates. More DK outfits and Young Pauline.
Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025
@AverageGamer Luigi’s Mansion on NSO (in October).

The calm before the storm.

Re: UFO 50 Has Been Updated On Switch, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Puzzle fans should check out Block Koala and Camouflage.
Re: UFO 50 Has Been Updated On Switch, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@solarwolf07 I want to pick up the strategy guide (which you can purchase separately).
As others mentioned, I think I could get into more of these games with some instructions.
I am all about discovery and playing the games now. However, it does become more of a chore for game genres I am less interested in.
Re: Round Up: 6 Switch 1 & 2 Games We Played At PAX - Here's What We Thought
You had me at cozy puzzle game. Woodo seems like it will be my jam. 😊
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th September (North America)
I love to read about the smaller titles released. Mechatris has caught my attention. 🙂
Re: Review: Adventure Of Samsara (Switch) - Atari's Throwback Metroidvania Embraces Cycles Of Life, Death, And More Death
Sounds like the gameplay improves as you take the time to learn the combat system. Many things to like here including the music. I am interested. 🙂
As an aside, the spirit of Adventure was captured in the early years by games like the OG Dragon Quest and Legend of Zelda. 😊
Re: Everybody's Golf Spiritual Successor 'Easy Come Easy Golf' Gets Surprise 60fps Update
I need to wrap up playing Chibi-Robo, but I think I will be playing this next!

Ubisoft: We have top men working on it right now.
Us: Who?
Ubisoft: Top… men.
Re: Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac Looks Waka Waka Wonderful In New Gameplay Trailer
I never finished it on GC. Maybe I will finish it now. 🙂
Re: Rumour: Another Claim Points To A Nintendo Direct Later This Month
Mario Maker 2 with mouse controls or Mario Maker 3.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Harvest Moon (SNES)
@BulkSlash The other two are similar and are splitting the vote, unless Europe gets over 50%.
Re: Poll: When The Heck Is Metroid Prime 4 Actually Launching?
Not just the release date, announce the price too (please). 🙏
Re: Fitness Boxing 2 To Be Removed From The eShop This November
I wish all of these games were just DLC packs for the base game, but the licensed music probably pushes the need to keep them as individual releases.
Re: Fitness Boxing 2 To Be Removed From The eShop This November
@Yalloo Hmm, Fitness Circuit is on sale digitally. I may pick that up. Thanks!

Re: Publisher Acclaim Is Set To Host Its Own Showcase Next Month
Very close to the Mario Direct! 😉
Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Is Reportedly Coming Ahead Of Mario's 40th Anniversary
I wonder if we will get some Mario Kart World updates. More outfits for DK? Bananza Pauline as a driver?
Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Is Reportedly Coming Ahead Of Mario's 40th Anniversary
I would love Mario Maker 3 to give tools for making 2D levels like those found in Mario Odyssey.
For example, 2D stages that wrap around 3D objects, walls hiding secret areas, sections with reverse gravity, etc.
A Mario Wonder toolset would also be great! Like when everything in the foreground is silhouetted and illuminated by the background. 😊
Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Is Reportedly Coming Ahead Of Mario's 40th Anniversary
A Switch 2 DLC pack for Mario Wonder.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (23rd August)
@Mana_Knight Talking with Telly will usually give a hint on where to go next.
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Rating Spotted On Nintendo's Website
@Novuscourvous They might still be able to have a late September release of Metroid Prime 4.
However, you are probably correct. The clock is ticking and no release date given yet. It could be a December or early 2026 release.
Re: Nintendo Download: 21st August (North America)
@AlanaHagues Not that you need to correct it again, but I had it wrong too. The Nintendo eShop page has it for $3.99 and it is on sale for $2.99. 😂
Close enough. 😊
Re: Review: Chibi-Robo (GameCube) - A Charming Game About An Altruistic Robot Or A Shambolic Scavenger Hunt?
@SuntannedDuck2 I own Zip Lash too. Partly for the Amiibo. Chibi-Robo is one of my favorite Amiibos and it is about his actual size. 😊
Re: Nintendo Download: 21st August (North America)
BURGER Shot sounds like it is a Suika-like game. Nice.
Re: Nintendo Download: 21st August (North America)
@AlanaHagues Around the World Puzzle is $2.99, not $32.99. 😉😊
Re: Review: Chibi-Robo (GameCube) - A Charming Game About An Altruistic Robot Or A Shambolic Scavenger Hunt?
@BTB20 Yes, but only in Japan (to clarify for others).
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Finally Has A Release Date
Remember, remember the 4th of September.
Re: Review: Chibi-Robo (GameCube) - A Charming Game About An Altruistic Robot Or A Shambolic Scavenger Hunt?
@darkswabber I won’t reply directly to an old post, but Cakes getting a copy for $10 in 2010 was a great investment. 😊
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Rating Spotted On Nintendo's Website
@Misima Having the rating and having a booth at Gamescom makes me think that a September release is still a possibility. 😊🤞
Re: Shin'en Announces 'The Touryst: Deluxe', Exclusive To Switch 2
@fenlix Agreed.
Upgrade path or discount for those of us with first game? Please?
Re: Capcom Is Holding A 90-Minute Panel At New York Comic-Con In October
The Disney Afternoon Collection: Six NES games on PS, Xbox, and Steam.
Not on Wii U.
Not on 3DS.
Not on Switch.
Not on Switch 2.
☹️
Re: Review: UFO 50 (Switch) - A Wondrous Smorgasbord Of Retro Delights
I loved Retro Game Challenge on DS. I am going to love UFO 50. 😊
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th August (North America)
@TimelessJubilee Thanks! I deleted my post after I figured out what game was in the thumbnail. 😂
I should have left it. 😊
