Re: Sonic Team Would "Love" To Remaster The Advance Series, Says Takashi Iizuka

@Bobb You are the first person in history to say that. Jokes aside, that's actually fairly normal. Some people don't get into a franchise until much later installments.

Sega Genesis will always be my favorites, but for those who grew up on the advance games it's a bummer they won't get a chance to re-experience it anytime soon. I'm heavily in favor of Sega team porting all their games to modern hardware just for the sake of preservation.

@EarthboundBenjy Personally, I would want a reboot of the Sonic franchise all together that places modern Sonic in an alternate universe.

Sega Superstars despite it's issues, atleast captures the feeling of the whimsical fun atmosphere of old Sonic. I miss that over all the stuff that happened post Adventure.

Frontiers felt like the pinnacle of everything I disliked about the lore that followed modern Sonic. Opting to make a melodramatic story that feels oddly out of place in a Sonic universe.

I just want the fun simple adventures to make a comeback as a staple.

@batmanbud2 I'm a level with ya. I never found any of these sidekicks as annoying as others. They were fine to me.

If you really want to know what an annoying sidekick is like, I can share one. Years ago I played a mobile game that actually had a friendly npc remind of you of every sale in the shop every time you did any interaction.

You couldn't play the game for than 2 minutes before the NPC would tell you how much you're missing out by not spending.

@Giancarlothomaz Same here. Especially the ones that truly out there with their ideas. Kinda of weird to think this way, but sometimes I find the development more exciting than the actual product.

Don't know. I guess I just enjoy hearing the creative thoughts of people who put so much into their works.

@Rooty I've been pouring over the article and didn't notice the mistake myself. I feel silly now. Think I will pore me some hot chocolate to cheer up.

Re: Random: Sakurai Used To Invite Devs' Children To Play Test Upcoming Games

I knew someone many moons ago that dissed subspace emissary with "Who plays Smash for the story?" I felt like that was such an uncool thing to say.

Sakurai clearly put alot of thought and effort into that mode because he wanted to reward players with something for being fans of Smash Bros.

Shame we will never get something as fun and cool as Brawl's Adventure mode. Watching these characters from different franchises meet in funny and unexpected ways, while teaming up to save the world was something I will always be fond of.
