@caseyyy In America we believe in milking something till it's dry. But we're generous. When there's nothing left we toss it aside until it can be milked again.
@Jhena One of the things I always have a hard time with JRPG's is the way they play fast and loose when it comes to the clothing of underage females and their bodies.
The only JRPG I managed to get through and enjoy was the Yakuza series. I guess a series focused on adults rather than teens was bit more relatable to me. Plus not as uncomfortable with the adult female clothing seen throughout
@batmanbud2 Why must one be better than the other. Both approaches have been greatly received by the audience. There doesn't have to be a pick and choose. Both approaches can live in harmony going forward.
@the_beaver Exactly! I look forward to bringing over the family, have a nice dinner, laugh together, wake up Christmas morning to open our gifts; And then play Mario Party with them as way for us to connect.
That way I can crush them while laughing maniacally.
@GameOtaku The source of that video is a group called "The Babylon Bee" which promotes a hard right leaning narrative and regularly mocks the LGBT community, minorities, and liberal causes.
Their website promotes racial and xenophobic attitudes under the guise of "Christian satire". I'm just making that clear for people before clicking the video.
@solarwolf07 I would say decent? From what I read around the web, the combat can be either be really great or really not. For some the combat lacks depth, for others it's just right.
The story? Eh that's going to be on what you find enjoyable. People think the story is the weakest part and the two main protagonists are uninteresting. On the other hand people seem to think the story is great and the characters are great.
So, my advice? If in doubt wait it out. By on sale if you can. Or take a leap of faith Miles.
Im going to call it a tie. None of them are that great. America looks like shovelware, Europe's got too much going on, and Japan looks too plain. As if someone took a concept art and just slapped it on the box.
@SalvorHardin @The-Chosen-one Im getting Sparking Zero for sure. Tenakchi was the game back in the day with DBZ fans. We'd all pick our characters and just go crazy.
I hope it gets the support Xenoverse 2 does. It's by far the largest roster in the entire series, trumping Tenkaichi 3. Over time it will just keep getting bigger.
With the upcoming Daima we might see some new characters too.
I stopped playing this game, but man I think the coolest part for me was the Frieza boss. Having Frieza's big brother pop out of nowhere was fun.
Im sorta burnt out on DBZ games. Growing up, I've relived Goku's journey over a 100 times. I hope one day we get a bold new adventure that isn't reliving Z's best moments.
@Maubari Nintendo is a global icon who's reach far extends beyond the gaming community. The community may hate them with a passion, but that's only a small part of the community.
Outside of that, Nintendo's reputation will be fine. Not even a scratch.
@Ryu_Niiyama True, but with physical games it doesn't matter. That physical item is yours and no company can barge into your home and take it away by force.
Like look, im okay to some degree with a creator changing their work as they see fit. However it's just as valid for others to question why and voice their disagreement. However, that's talking about a creator still involved.
It's abit different when the creator is no longer in control of their creation. Then you have to ask many questions as to why changes are needed and what purpose do they serve?
Like, I wouldn't want a piece of media to omit a word or scene due to modern sensibilities. In doing so you are omitting intent by the creator. Sure it may be something bad, but you have to judge a piece of work with the context of it's time.
But back to DQ3 here. It's perfectly valid for people to question the point of these changes. It would be nice if Square sat down and explained it. Sure it might not change much, but atleast an answer is better than no answer.
Does Square owe an explanation? Well no, it's their IP (I assume). But for those who invested in the series for a long time are on some level atleast entitled to understand why these things are needed.
@LuXifer As someone who's traveled the multiverse, I can give atleast one outcome.
Both Sony and Nintendo did indeed release their console. It was called the Nintendo Play. Sega tried to compete but alas due to mishaps their rival console failed to make it to market in time, and was released to lukewarm reviews. The company bowed out.
With Nintendo now being the dominant console again, Microsoft never entered the market and thus Nintendo reigned peacefully for awhile.
With no competition, there was really no need for innovation and thus the market became stagnated. The Nintendo Play stayed for a good 8 years or so.
It's around this time a little know company named Apple saw a spot in the console market and decided to take it. Releasing their first ever console "I-Game". Giving Nintendo the first competition it's had in years.
Nintendo for the first couple of years sees a loss in sales as Apple dominates. During that time, Nintendo now owning all of Sony puts together the next generation console. "Nintendo Nxt" or "Nintendo Next".
Regaining their share of the market, both Apple and Nintendo are still competing to this day. Oh, and Microsoft went bankrupt when after the release of "Windows 9". Lastly, Miyamoto has a handlebar mustache.

Re: Sorry, But There Are "Currently No Plans" For A Unicorn Overlord Sequel Or DLC
@Elira I can agree partially. I don't mind sequels personally. It just depends on who's making them and what vision they have for a series.
Now if a series is like 10+ sequels, then yeah I can say that's overdoing things.

Zelda is spot 2? How unfortunate, disappointing, disheartening, upsetting, dreading, grievous, lamentable, and calamitous.
Zelda fans will never recover.

@LXP8 Can't say I agree. That title goes to Pro Skater 5. A game so perfect, Activision decided no more new entries were needed for awhile.
Re: Pirate Adventure Ahoy! 'Mark Of The Deep' Sets Sail On Switch Next Week
@silver-crescent It's really tough to be original. Even the two games the devs cite here aren't entirely orginal.
Not that one can't be original. Just original takes a long time. Especially in an era where so many games flood the market.
