I wish Nintendo will re-release Luigi’s Mansion 1 on Switch as a Gamecube remaster but it doesn’t look like it’s happening with the second game getting re-released.

I wonder how reliable the leaks are. The Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD leak from Jeff Grubb turned out to be wrong.

Geez one retro game on Expansion Pak. I miss the virtual console era with multiple games per week.

I hope Nintendo will eventually add a purchase option so we have permanent access to the games and not lose our save file when one day these games disappear when NSO ends.

I wish early 20s are still teens. Then when I’m 50 I will still be in my 40s.

Does Nintendo still operate in Russia? Their Russian site is still operating.

Too bad we can’t purchase them on NSO.

I just finished it recently. I had a great time playing it especially with the boost enhancements that can be used if needed. It’s a short game but very fun. I definitely recommend playing this.

Well Nintendo could release more mini consoles like an N64, Gamecube or GBA Classic Edition but since they will hurt the Expansion Pak subscription sales they probably will not.

Why is the next console being referred to as Switch 2? For all we know it could be a very different console.

I miss the days when the West and Japan have different boxarts.

I hope this game along with NES Batman and SNES Adventures of Batman and Robin get a re-release in the future.

I have the NSO including Expansion Pak but much rather have a physical compilation of classic Nintendo games. When the NSO eventually ends all the games will disappear with it like the virtual console games on the eShop. The physical compilations will give us permanent access to the classic games and they would also be good collectors items too.

Nintendo needs to release a Mario and Zelda origins compilation.

Nintendo is leaving a lot of money on the table by not releasing compilations of their classic games.

Regarding the comments of the Advance Wars series being dead in Japan, didn’t this series started as a Japan exclusive series called Famicom Wars? There are still a ton of Famicom Wars titles that were never localized.

A bit off topic but any chance Sunsoft could re-release the Super NES and Game Boy Looney Tunes games?

I don’t think they made it hard to get people to buy the transfer pak. The accessory was included with Stadium.

I’m surprised by some commenting about the nostalgia for western version boxart. I always thought I’m one of the oldest gamer here and most of us here are Gen Z and younger.

I like the Japanese artwork much better. Super Mario Bros. 3 Japanese box art is even more superior. Never understood why NOA didn’t used the Japanese artwork for Super Mario Bros. games.

Hopefully if an invasion of Taiwan happens between now and April 21 there won’t be another postponement. Not that I am indifferent about another invasion but wars happen everywhere and delaying a game will not help any country involved in the war.

If he has a ton of subscribers $23,000 is probably not a lot of money to him.

Where did you see the leak about Pokémon Gen 3 coming to NSO?

I remember in the mid 2000s Microsoft expressed interest in buying Nintendo but Yamauchi refused. One thing is almost certain, if Microsoft acquired Nintendo, they most likely would have made Nintendo’s classic games very accessible and carried over to successor generation consoles.

I agree 100% but since it looks like Nintendo is locking access to retro games in a subscription format NSO is the only format we can count on at this time. Maybe we will be allowed to transfer Pokémon from Gen 1-3 in NSO to Gen 9 like how they could be transferred from virtual console versions to Gen 7. That way we can at least preserve the Pokémon collected. I hope in the future Nintendo will give us the option to purchase games from the NSO retro catalog.

If Gen 1 and 2 come to Switch I hope it’s to purchase and not part of NSO. Otherwise eventually all the Pokémon and badges will one day disappear when Nintendo discontinues NSO.

I would get them all but I maxed out on the storage for both systems with virtual console games.

JNL Games offer it for $60. I preordered all my games from them, fast shipping and delivery.

Why can’t there be a purchase option? If Nintendo wants to keep people subscribed then make it a requirement to be a subscriber to purchase.

I’m desperately hoping Nintendo will let us buy some of these games on the retro games app before they eventually remove them in the distant future.
