Maybe the appeal will say they want to bring a gaming experience similar to Pokemon to Chinese gamers who hate Japan and who boycott Japanese products.

Sigh it’s sad retro Nintendo games will be rental only on NSO with no option to own them going forward. I wish we could purchase them on modern consoles.

Any chance for the Looney Tunes games developed by Sunsoft to be re-released?

Purchased it right away, been waiting for this since Advace Collection. It’s sad that other companies including Konami allow us to buy compilations of their classic games and Nintendo still keeps all their classic games behind a subscription paywall.

Tomorrow is Mother 2’s 30th anniversary. Any chance we get some kind of game announcement during the partner Direct?

If Rare Replay does get a Switch release, I hope it includes DKC trilogy, DK 64 and Diddy Kong Racing.

Given their past records from Pokemon Presents I would say probably more mobile announcements and maybe more DLCs for Scarlet and Violet. A new Let’s Go game is also possible. It would be a really nice surprise if they do announce the re-release of mainline retro Pokemon games.

I actually prefer not to play as Michael Myers but as one of his potential victims. The horror element of it is gone if you are controlling the killer.

Where did you hear Game Freak doesn’t want mainline Pokemon games on NSO and 3DS VC? I hope they changed their mind because I really want to play Gen 1-3 on Switch or Switch 2. I don’t understand what Game Freak stands to gain by not at least selling Gen 1-3 on modern consoles.

I wonder why they released this as New Pokemon Snap since the original N64 game was never released in China. It would be more appropriate to title it “Pokemon Snap”. Also, I feel sad that the original Gen 1 games (Along with Gen 2-6) were never officially released in China. Chinese gamers are experiencing the original games via the Let’s Go versions which in my opinion is nowhere as good as the original Red and Blue versions. At least give them either the digital Gen 1 or Gen 3 remakes. Let’s Go is a terrible way to introduce gamers to the original Pokemon games.

Will Gen 1-3 games ever come out on the Switch?

I hope Sunsoft at some point will release Batman and the Looney Tunes games. But due to licensing I guess it’s a long shot.

Instead of purchasing the Lost Levels icons, I rather purchase this game on the Switch.

Not necessarily. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon NES was released for on NSO in Japan then later announced as a title for purchase in the West for a limited time.

Nintendo needs to release much more games in China. Take a look at Nintendo’s China website and it looks like Nintendo’s Switch release up to around 2018.

I rather they offer them for sale instead. Don’t want my Pokemon collection and badges to disappear when one day Nintendo ends the NSO and pulls the plug on all the games in the app.

Please add a purchase option for classic games like Sony does.

Anyone know if Luigi’s Mansion 2 will have new features like checkpoints? I never beat the original version due to lack of checkpoints.

A physical release of all three games would be great. They localized Trials of Mana for Collection of Mana so there’s always a (slim) possibility.

Why is 3 not in this collection?

Bowser: Thank you for your inquiry but Mother 3’s in another country.

Maybe Mother 3 was not released on Western NSO because Nintendo wants to sell us the game at a later time instead of allowing us to play for free on NSO as part of the subscription.

If I were the US president, I would personally ask the Japanese prime minister to request Nintendo to localize Mother 3 during a personal meeting, no joke.

Why do people want these games on NSO? I rather pay for a download because I don’t want the rental games on NSO to disappear one day along with my Pokémon and badges.

Why is Pokemon Ruby/ Sapphire/ Emerald and Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green not on this list?

Why was TMNT 3 released as 2 in Japan? Which earlier game did it skip the Famicom?

That would be nice. It would be awesome if the next console includes a purchase option for these games but that’s probably not going to happen.

I feel your pain regarding the region lock. I started collecting DVDs more than 20 years ago and back then before HD TVs there was an additional barrier on top of region lock: Region 1 TVs used NTSC and region 2 TVs used PAL format. At least now a region free player solves the problem of watching releases from other territories. I am a bit surprised that Pokemon TV is being discontinued. I wonder if they have something better to replace it although I am not counting on it.

This is why physical media is important.

I played it but felt the levels and graphics are like New Super Mario Bros Wii and U. I felt Super Mario Bros 3 was so amazing with the powerups, new worlds and enemies and Super Mario World had different secret exits, castles and memorable enemies. I guess the Mario franchise is getting tiresome with the same enemies and worlds. I wish they could make another game similar to Super Mario Bros 2, that was a real refreshing direction although I know it was not originally a Mario game.
