Switch 2 announcements for games that were announced for other platforms last week (some had Switch 2 announcements but maybe more)

@Ryu_Niiyama PS5 had 7 first party games in year one. And not be that guy, but a game like Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart or Spiderman would equal to half if not more of these 13 Switch games just due to the sheer graphics and the worlds that were built with those graphics. With small exceptions, a Sony game takes longer to make.

DK Bonanza, Pokémon, and Mario Kart were the big games. The other games were more niche. Star Fox is a great addition, but it is a 4 hour game. I did appreciate Switch 2 editions of Switch 1 games. I especially loved the 3rd party support, keep that coming

It looks like the original 3 games are being remastered for PS5 and Xbox. I wonder if Switch 2 will be included? I did see the mention of the other consoles in this article.

When the Sega logo came up during the show, for a second I thought that it was for Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition for Switch 2. 😂

Capcom strikes again. They are the most prolific developer for Switch 2.

Capcom keeps bringing their big blockbuster games to Switch 2 more than any other studio including Nintendo.

I generally agree with this list. I would probably put Assassin's Creed a bit higher

I love my Switch 2. And yes, it has a lot of great games. But I feel like Nintendo needs to have a better road map and communicate that better. Also, when a 3rd party game is coming to PS/Xbox, I want to know if it's also coming to Switch 2. On that front, it has gotten better with games like the upcoming Call of Duty and Tomb Raider being announced for all systems. Finally, I am waiting impatiently for that new Mario 3D game to be announced. That is what I want the most.

I don't like the trend of releasing Switch 2 games after Xbox/PS release dates but I am glad that it will be out in September.

Maybe it will be another movie direct or a one game focused one. 🤪

@abbyhitter Sony and Microsoft are doing presentations while Nintendo seems content sitting on the sidelines. Maybe they will shortly announce a full Direct that is for more than 1 game. Then there's the Game Fest.

I like Ori but not a fan of souls like games. Do you lose everything upon death?

Wait, what? I was going to get this on PS5, but now will get on Switch 2 instead.

Surprised it took that long for Minecraft to have a Switch 2 version. Now what other Switch 1 games would benefit from having a Switch 2 version. My picks would be Witcher 3 and Mutant Year Zero.

I think a lot of folks are grading based on nostalgia. I personally like Crafted World the best.

@jsty3105 people know that games are coming. We just want to be better informed and be more excited about future games. Nothing wrong with that.

PS Vita had a horrible Call of Duty game. This is probably going to be a first better COD experience on a handheld. I got Declassified back in the day, but I am so much more excited for this one.

Still hoping for Switch 2 edition

@acNewUpdates Us digital owners had to pay extra for the physical media copies all these years. It costs money to make physical games and digital owners had to pick up that tab. I am glad that Nintendo is finally realizing that, although it seems that this game is cheaper for physical copy at the moment. Maybe it is not selling as well as Nintendo had hoped.

Silent Hill 2 would be awesome

I wouldn't call Pragmata, WWE and Resident Evil Requiem ports. They were released simultaneously on all platforms.

Switch 1 edition was a huge downgrade. This would be huge for Switch 2 experience

Looking forward to the next 3D Mario. Bowsers Fury DLC is my favorite, hope it's like that

So funny to see all the Nintendo acolytes defending Nintendo here. As a Switch 2 owner, I think this review is good and spot on.

You are missing: when it's on a $40 sale 2 years from now. Yes, I am a patient person and will definitely get it at that price.

Digital for me. But if physical is super cheap, then that. But that's more rare

@jsty3105 I agree with you on that. Maybe Nintendo's attention got diverted to the movie. Past Directs were just more exciting because usually there were tons of announcements and it felt like there was something in there for everyone whether it was an Indie, Partner or a main Direct. I love my Switch 2, but I want to be more excited about what is coming in the next 6 or 12 months.

@jsty3105 I think you are blinded by your loyalty to Nintendo. With Switch 1, some games were announced last minute, but many, especially with 3rd party games were known for many months in advance. We also had more Directs, Indie Showcases, etc. Now we get a Direct for exactly one game. In addition we got 3 Directs for the Mario Galaxy movie.

@jsty3105 and how did that work out for Wii-U? I would argue that Nintendo did a fantastic job at keeping gamers informed with Switch 1 games, but for some reason is not doing that with Switch 2 games, including 3rd party ones.

Nintendo fans are in full force here defending Nintendo. I think folks like me want a road map for the next 12 months and beyond, not just for the next 2 months. Also want to see same continued 3rd party support. I think Nintendo is in position to do that but for some odd reason doesn't want to reveal the games too early. I have a PS5, but prefer to play handheld on the road. If I know a PS5 or PS4 game is coming to Switch 2, I am going to not buy it on PS5 and wait for that Switch 2 version.

First party games have been great but nothing mind blowing. I think something like Mario 3D will fix that. Also, 3rd party games, I can see the release schedules for Xbox and PS5, but Switch 2 schedule is rather small. Need to fix that. Having said that, I love my Switch 2 so far

There are some great games on Switch 2 but personally I think it's still missing that AAA hitter. I know others will disagree but that's just me speaking as a Switch 2 owner. I need to know what is coming in next 12 months for first party and also for 3rd party games.

@HalBailman from those, Yoshi, DK Bonanza, and Metroid Prime 4 for me. The other ones are not for me. Even with the games I mentioned, it just feels like Nintendo is missing a humongous game here, like Mario 3D. This game needs to push Switch 2 to it's limits. And more announcements for 3rd party games for the next 6 to 12 months.

So that's why Nintendo announced Star Fox the day before with a sudden announcement. To have good news along with some bad ones

Is this a really short game? Looking forward to it but wondering if it should be a rental.
