@orbots While what you say is true, many gamers will be too busy playing Switch 3 or 4 to notice. Playing old systems is more of a niche thing. I started my gaming through NES, Genesis and Commodore 64 but I don't look back. Nintendo Online or occasional re-release of an old game fixes that nostalgia fix.

So, I wonder what the big game(s) will be for the Fall line up?

On Switch 2, playing Hogwarts Legacy. I like it but its boring at times. I do want to see it through.

On PS5, playing Forspoken. I didn't like it for the first half of the game but its grown on me. The gameplay is really good once you unlock more abilities.

@Yoshi3 Rare Replay and Sea of Thieves would be great, but I want more Microsoft games like Halo, Fable, Fallout 3New Vegas and more. The more the better

This is one of my most favorite PS5 games. Shocked that this was not announced during the recent Indie Showcase as this is a big get for Switch 2.

Mixtape, Blighted and Midnight Walk seemed interesting to me. Probably skip the other games.

Mutant Year Zero needs a Switch 2 Edition. Switch 1 version is awful. I hope games that struggle on Switch 1 get a significant Switch 2 upgrade

Do Bethesda games have bugs? Yup. Could Bethesda do better? Yup. I remember when the PS4 version had a bug that prevented me from starting a conversation with a key character that would have allowed me to join that faction, but I still loved Fallout 4. I am getting this again to play on the go. Fallout games are one of my most favorite game series.

Fun game at the time, but it was a bit difficult if I remember correctly.

@Bizzyb people didn't want key cards, so I guess wish granted??? I myself cannot wait to play this on the go. I already played this on PS4, and I enjoyed it then

"Die in a single hit" . That sounds hard unless there are generous checkpoints. Not into games with a high difficulty.

Valhalla was a beautiful game on PS5 but I found it boring to me. I recently got a Switch 2 and this game is on my wish list to buy. Can't wait to see what Assassin Creed will look like in handheld mode

Dead Cells was very fun initially. I was able to get through the first couple of levels with no issues but the difficulty then significantly increased and I would usually die in those later levels. Only to restart from the very beginning. After 40 or so deaths, I gave up. I wonder if this will be similar to that.

@FortniteJ You make it seem like they will shut it off tomorrow, which is not true. it will be many years or decades. By the time that happens, I will be too busy playing Super Switch 8 to notice.

Crazy how people here are settling for the inferior Switch 1 version because its a key card. Stop fretting about what may or may not happen 40 years from now. just enjoy the games, do you guys even play or just collect games. I am getting the Switch 2 version. You can redownload game card games just like with purchased digital games, even after the game is delisted. No big deal at all

I bet MGS4 will run like crap on Switch1. Glad I upgraded to Switch 2.

You guys do realize that if you purchase the game before they delist it, you can re-download in the future, right? You still have it in your digital library

@lovecraftINkafka still calling it a port even though it was supposed to come out at same time as other versions and it got delayed slightly? In my mind , something is a port if it's been on another platform for years, not weeks or months. But that's just me

@datamonkey It is very similar to Bloodborne. Even on easy, the game can be hard at times, but maybe it is just me. I find it very fun to play. Considering getting the DLC because I am really enjoying the game.

Do you guys actually enjoy playing games or do you only collect physical cartridges? Skipping a game and missing out on enjoying it just because it's not physical is just so foreign to me.

I don't mind digital, so it doesn't bother me. Interesting how people will deny themselves of enjoyment just because it's not a physical release.

I guess that the game key card haters got their wish of no GKC.

I love handhelds and there's no comparison to Switch 2. I absolutely love it

@larryisaman I lastly played NHL on PSP, that was the last handheld NHL game. I think that was in 2007? Crazy that there has been no NHL for the handheld since.

Not a popular opinion here, but I actually like hand holding to some extent. I hate it when I am stuck and don't know what to do next.

@Anti-Matter We get it. You don't like GKC. No one is asking you to buy Switch 2 console or games. I have a PS5 too (in addition to Switch 2) but I don't mind GKC or keep complaining about it. And if you own multiple consoles, you probably can afford a memory card.

Yes, 1st party lineup is weak, but this is some of the best 3rd party offerings in years. I have a PS5, but I am more happy because I can finally play these on the go anywhere I go. When I play a game on PS5, I don't complain that the game is multiplatform. Finally, we have a Nintendo console with proper 3rd party support. And 3rd party console exclusives are becoming rare these days.

@h3s Not all of them are old 3rd party ports. Requiem, 007, Lego Batman , Pragmata are some of the new 3rd party games.

Resident Evil Requiem and Village, 007, Elden Ring, Indiana Jones and Yoshi for me (In that order, Requiem being the most wanted game). Surprised that Yoshi is the only first party that I am interested in for 2026, unless Nintendo has something else up its sleeve. Exciting times to be a Switch 2 owner for 3rd party support.

It makes sense for them to go with the better Switch
