@Clyde_Radcliffe The Way Remastered is a great game, but some of those puzzles later on in the game are super hard and frustrating. Even with the help of youtube videos, I struggled.
I wouldn't mind replaying Angry Birds on Switch. I think Sega wants to concentrate more on cell phone games with this purchase, but hopefully they will still bring Angry Birds over to Switch.
I went through a time when I was buying DVDs and Blue Rays several times each month. Then I realized that for most movies, I only watched once and that's it. Stopped buying them. If I really want to see a movie again, I will check my many streaming services first, and if not on them, I will just rent it. Funny thing is that it is very hard to resell these DVDs these days. Not many buy them anymore.
I am in the midst of playing Link’s Awakening Remake for Switch for the first time. Never played the original but wow, this game is awesome. Brings me back to the SNES and NES days but so well modernized. Nintendo should remake more of their games exactly like this game. I only played a couple of Zelda games in my life. This game makes me want to play more Zelda games.
Great games but love these “sales” for $40. Got to give it to Nintendo, they figured out how to make players pay full price years down the road making these evergreen
I would say 2017 was the highlight. If Nintendo releases another huge title at end of 2023, with the new Zelda this year, 2023 will be the best year. Otherwise 2017 would be the one
For months, I played Vita without realizing that the analogs were clickable. Made games so much more difficult. You think I would learn my lesson when I had PS3, where I also had this very issue. Also, when I first got PS3, I would just shut it off in middle of game, not realizing that I was interrupting game saving and corrupting them. Thought the PS3 was broken. Felt pretty dumb when I figured it out
Nintendo should be ending the year with a release of another blockbuster game: something huge like Mario Odyssey 2. Maybe even announce Switch 2 this year, that will be able to handle those Call of Duty games. That coupled with the new Zelda, they would have a killer year.
Come on Nintendo. We know that Mario movie is coming. We had a Direct for that already. How about a Direct for a new Mario game instead. It is about time for a new Mario game.
Not the popular option here, but they should just end credits all together. That's what the resume is for. Ok, maybe credit the big players, but I don't need to know who cleaned the toilets during game making (embellishing here a bit).
Physical game owners are like VHS movie owners and music CD owners refusing to go digital. Those movie and music mediums have left physical behind except for the small holdouts. Surprised it has taken this long for video games to catch up to those other mediums.
Whatever the future Nintendo console is, I want it to be able to play Switch 1 games. I want to keep that library. Maybe not the cartridges but definitely the digital purchases.
Sony targets over 18 crowd, while Nintendo targets under 18. For every Zelda or Bayonetta , there are tons of games like Kirby and Mario aimed at the younger crowd. It just happens that a bunch of adults happen to like these games. I bought Switch to play games like Borderlands because I like to play games on a handheld. Prior Nintendo consoles had less adult aimed games like Borderlands. Honestly, I got a Switch because PSP and Vita were the last handhelds aimed at adults and there is no competition until Steam came in . I do love the Switch quite a bit though. Sony is competing with Xbox for that over 18 market while Nintendo owns under 18 and also the Vita handheld owners that made the jump over due to lack of handheld competition.
So, this confirms that that most of the best Wii-U exclusives are now on Switch. No need to want a Wii-U anymore. Now, Nintendo needs to port or remaster more Wii games.
I thought that black Friday sales were traditionally only in US the day after Thanksgiving. Has the world copied this day after Thanksgiving tradition?
Wow, a 10 from Nintendo's biggest fan club website. I am sure it is not biased at all. 😜. Have not played Xenoblade series, but it is on my future playlist.
The negative impact of Covid is that no one wants to work anymore. I work in an office type of a job, not video game related. Everyone wants to work at home and people can't even make half the numbers they used to do, while working from home. Restaurants can't find people willing to work and have to close some days during the week due to staff shortages. I imagine that all employers in other sectors are dealing with this. This is in US, probably Europe as well. I do want better work life balance and I am all for it, but people got lazy during Covid.
My hopes:
Mario Odyssey 2 announcement
Bayonetta 3 coming out this year
Metrioid Prime 4 surprise drop later this year. Metroid Prime Trilogy available this month.
Actual Persona games, not some spin offs.
a huge 3rd party game (like Witcher 3) that is not cloud based, maybe Borderlands 3 Complete Edition.
Mass Effect Trilogy
NHL or Madden would be nice.
whether Michael is guilty or innocent, I think Sega decided not to use his music for a game that targets kids. They wanted to avoid that controversy but still created it with adult gamers.
Why we want an announcement of Silksong? We already know it is coming at some point. Release date announcement does not have to be part of this. I want them to spend more time to announce games, not talk about games we already know about.
So some of these games are already in Sega Genesis classics Collection and some as stand alone as Sega Ages releases. Sure we get Sonic CD and Knuckles one, but very underwhelming collection. Should have had way more Sonic games from other consoles.

Re: Official Nintendo Switch SD Card Line Expands With 1TB Zelda Card And Cute Yoshi Design
Umm. Why would be people want this? It goes inside the Switch never to be seen. To look cool when you have multiple cards, I guess.
Re: It's Official, SEGA Is Buying Angry Birds Maker, Rovio
I wouldn't mind replaying Angry Birds on Switch. I think Sega wants to concentrate more on cell phone games with this purchase, but hopefully they will still bring Angry Birds over to Switch.
Re: Talking Point: Which Other Mega Man Games Could Come To Switch?
They could do another Mega Man Collection and include all of these, and call it "Extra", "Mishmash" or "Mega Man Leftovers" or something like that.
Re: FIFA Replacement 'EA Sports FC' Officially Unveiled
And somehow EA will still manage to bring a legacy version to Switch.
Re: Miyamoto On New Mario Game: "Please Stay Tuned For Future Nintendo Directs"
It has been 5.5 years since Mario Odyssey was released. Time for a new one. Knowing Nintendo, it will be released on Switch 2.

Wouldn’t it be better to wait for the remake and play the best version?

Re: Poll: Would You Pay $70 For The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
I will wait 2 years for it to get a big discount sale….. for $40. 🤣. I have a huge backlog and don’t need to play games on day one.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Switch eShop Price Is $70 USD
Interesting to see everyone fervently defending Nintendo here on the price hike.

How are Mario Kart 8 and GTA5 still selling. Doesn't pretty much everyone already own these at this point?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 31st)
Playing Borderlands pre sequel on Switch and Kena on PS5. Kena is amazing.
Re: Soapbox: 2022 Was A Watershed For Companies Taking Retro Compilations Seriously
Commodore 64 collection would be nice.
Re: Soapbox: 2022 Was A Watershed For Companies Taking Retro Compilations Seriously
I think a Simpson's collection of the older Simpsons games is needed. And remaster of more recent Simpson's games like Hit and Run.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Most Anticipated Games For 2023 (That Aren't Zelda)
I would argue that if you take away Zelda and all the cloud based games, that 2023 looks kind of bare for AAA games
Re: Talking Point: Are You Excited To See Call Of Duty Return To Nintendo Platforms?
Very excited, but these better not be cloud versions.

Eww, cloud versions. No thank you.
Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Of Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?
I had a Wii before and Switch is my second Nintendo console, so I never got to play these. So a big yes for me.
Re: Review: Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3 - Another Pair Of Lesser-Known RPG Gems
Such a high price for 2 old games. For that price, it should be 10 games in the collection.
Re: SEGA Genesis Mini 2 Games List - Every Mega Drive And SEGA CD Game, All 61 Titles
Where is Willy Beamish, NHL and Third World War for Sega Cd? Wishful games for me. Is the loading improved for the Sega CD games?
