@PikminMarioKirby technically it is the first year for Madden on Nintendo in over a decade. Next year we we can argue that argument about Madden games looking the same each year.

@SillyG swapping microSD cards? I have several AAA games at any given time on my card. Once I finish a game, I delete it and if I get an inkling to replay, I just make room on my card and re-download again. No need for multiple cards. And if Nintendo shuts down the store decades from now, I will be too busy playing Switch 8 to care.

I think physical games are going to become a thing of the past. Game key cartridges allow store presence for parents to buy games for their kids. And you can resell them. If you can afford a Switch 2, you can afford a higher memory card. I don't see a big deal. Digital is the future whether we like or not.

Maneater was a fantastic shark game, maybe Ecco 3 could be similar except the shark violence

I am thinking people complaining about key carts, probably owned an Atari console or Commodore 64 back in the day. I am from that generation but I embrace the digital future and have no issue with buying these.

Is there a comparison of handheld vs docked mode? Do Switch 1 games look better in handheld mode on Switch 2?

No big deal to me. I will purchase whatever is cheapest, but these days prefer digital. Used to prefer physical, but find digital more convenient these days

Lots of people here don’t like trophies. I on the other hand , enjoy them. They prolong the game. They can be a lot of fun for the gamers like me

No one is complaining that Switch 2 is getting an inferior version of Zelda Wind Waker?

I will get it to play it on the go. Not worried if it is digital, on card or physical.

Last NHL game on a handheld was on PSP. I think it is time for a Switch 2 appearance.

I get to play PS4/PS5 games on the go on Switch 2. Plus all the first party games, this is a dream come true.

It was interesting to see more Sony games come to switch. But overall, it was poor. I thought maybe there’d be another port or remake of Nintendo’s first party games

This looks stupid which means that it will make a lot of money.

A port would be nice for the people that didn't play it and don't have a DS or 3DS.

It is safe to presume that everyone here will get one. It really depends what their year 1 game lineup is going to look like. For me, it comes down to the games. If it has a killer line up, I will want it sooner than later.

I think few people sit and watch the credits. Credits have gotten out of control with special thank yous, babies born during development, thank you to PR teams,catering teams, etc.. they are just too long. Maybe just thank the core team and leave everyone else out. Should do the same with movies.

@the_beaver Yooka Laylee 2 was fun until the last boss level which could be attempted at any time. Even with the updated patch, I found that it was too hard. For that level alone, it is the right score.

You should rate these by difficulty. I like 2D platformers that are easy or medium in difficulty. Split second timed platformers are not my thing.

How does this compare to the SNK anniversary collection that came out a couple years back? any different games?

DVD? They still make those? I have not bought a DVD or blue ray in almost two decades.

I think that they should wait to release it on Switch 2.

20 to 30 hours is a perfect length for a game for me. I see these great games but delay playing some of the games because of the time investment it requires.

I go to the Store while in handheld mode. It is excruciatingly slow to scroll through games, especially the area with the games on sale. It freezes every so often to load up the pages and game icons. I tried this in different Wi-Fi places and get the same issue at all locations. should not be this slow. In my mind, this needs to be fixed asap. I can only speak for handheld as I don't play docked.

what? This is crazy. I am aging myself but I loved this game back in the day. Hopefully they remake the second one. I am getting this for sure.

I know that a lot of posters had every Nintendo console ever released, but some of us did not. I had a Wii which I sold. Switch is my second Nintendo console. This game is more meant for players who might not had the opportunity to experience the game.

Another thing to consider is that a lot of players are going digital. I occasionally buy a physical copy but buy more digital these days

Many Switch owners don't have 3DS or Wii. This is meant for them. Glad to see it come to Switch.

Sony and Microsoft should take some notes here. I love my PS5, but Sony phoned it in during their last presentation. Well done Nintendo. Can't wait to play many of these games on Switch.

Wow, Nintendo. One of the best Directs in a long time. I cannot wait to see what you have in store for Switch 2. Microsoft had a good presentation recently for their games but not as good as this one, Sony was awful. Both should take notice from this Nintendo Direct.

I have a Switch and PS5. I played this on PS5 and it was an amazing experience. Graphics were really nice on PS5. Wondering how much of a downgrade it will be on Switch. Highly recommend this game, but wondering if they should have waited for a Switch 2 version.

I wish that these were not trapped behind a subscription wall. I want the ability to buy these games

I played this on PS5 and had mixed feelings on it. I liked the combat and the open world, but the storyline and all the characters you meet were dull and boring. The more I played, the more I felt bored. I forced myself to see the game until the end and found the ending terrible. Lots of lost potential here. On Switch, thinking that there is a huge graphical downgrade.

@breakneck I love it. Feels great in your hands. My PS5 is in the finished basement, I play upstairs with no issues. My family watches TV . And I can still hang out with them with the Portal.

If Microsoft releases a handheld that plays digital Xbox X Series games natively, I would be very interested in buying it. Switch and PS Portal (which sadly streams only) are both my preferred way to play games at the moment. I would add an Xbox handheld device for sure.

I love my Switch. It has some fantastic and amazing games. But let’s be honest, 75% of these 11,000 are garbage games. I hate having to scroll through tons of games on any given sale just to find a couple of interesting games.

I love the physical or nothing comments. I guess you will be Sitting on the sidelines watching me play the latest awesome games. I used to be a holdout but now prefer digital over physical.

Link's Awakening was amazing. Should be higher on this list.
