Wow, Nintendo. One of the best Directs in a long time. I cannot wait to see what you have in store for Switch 2. Microsoft had a good presentation recently for their games but not as good as this one, Sony was awful. Both should take notice from this Nintendo Direct.

I have a Switch and PS5. I played this on PS5 and it was an amazing experience. Graphics were really nice on PS5. Wondering how much of a downgrade it will be on Switch. Highly recommend this game, but wondering if they should have waited for a Switch 2 version.

I wish that these were not trapped behind a subscription wall. I want the ability to buy these games

I played this on PS5 and had mixed feelings on it. I liked the combat and the open world, but the storyline and all the characters you meet were dull and boring. The more I played, the more I felt bored. I forced myself to see the game until the end and found the ending terrible. Lots of lost potential here. On Switch, thinking that there is a huge graphical downgrade.

@breakneck I love it. Feels great in your hands. My PS5 is in the finished basement, I play upstairs with no issues. My family watches TV . And I can still hang out with them with the Portal.

If Microsoft releases a handheld that plays digital Xbox X Series games natively, I would be very interested in buying it. Switch and PS Portal (which sadly streams only) are both my preferred way to play games at the moment. I would add an Xbox handheld device for sure.

I love my Switch. It has some fantastic and amazing games. But let’s be honest, 75% of these 11,000 are garbage games. I hate having to scroll through tons of games on any given sale just to find a couple of interesting games.

I love the physical or nothing comments. I guess you will be Sitting on the sidelines watching me play the latest awesome games. I used to be a holdout but now prefer digital over physical.

Link's Awakening was amazing. Should be higher on this list.

With all these layoffs in the gaming industry, I wonder what the layoff stats are for the work at home employees vs in-office employees. Are remote workers more expandable?

Look at music and movies. No one buys those anymore. Except for a few holdouts, everyone streams those. Unfortunately, that will be the future normal for video games, whether it is Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft.

As soon as I am done, I sell the game and move on. There are way too many games out there. I do sometimes rebuy down the road if it’s a remaster or a remake.

Are these going to be available online for a limited time like Bill and Ted?

I don’t care what it called, just make sure it is backward compatible with Switch 1 games. If they can’t make cartridges backward compatible, at least make the digital ones compatible.

These all look like low budget games.

30 seconds seems plenty to me. it seems short but you would surprised as to how much you can say.
Keep it that way, if people speak another language, let them thank in their language. Don't use an interpreter and give 30 seconds as well.

Does that mean Half Life 3 confirmed? Or is saying it will be another 10 years? I get what he is saying, but life is short. I don't have all the time in the world for developers to take their time. 😂

Viewtiful Joe Collection or maybe Onimusha 2 remaster. I don't think it will be a huge game. More of a port of something.

Top 3 games are great but Nintendolife was wearing nostalgia glasses when rating these games.

These same people saying no to digital Switch2 will be lining up to buy it. Physical media is a thing of the past. Just look at movies and music. I can't remember the last time I bought a DVD. Heck, Netflix just ended their DVD service. I purchase most of my PS5 games digitally. On PC, it's not even an option to buy physical. Nintendo is really the last holdout but even they see the writing on the wall and the profit in digital games.

Sadly, I could see Nintendo not making Switch2 backward compatible on purpose, just so they can repackage the game for Switch 2 to sell it again at premium price.

I bet that many of these are foreign workers under the H1B visa program, which is very common in that industry. Which makes it easy to get rid of that contract staff with little pushback. Which is wrong.

The first 2 games were fun. 3rd was bad. And now this game is 2d. Seems like a huge step back.

So last fully dedicated Switch 1 Direct?

It's never enough for Square Enix. Waiting for them to reverse saying it is a success, and then say how disappointing these numbers are.

2024. Hmmm. Maybe this will become a Switch 2 game?

The voice was iconic. I thought that they just re-used lines from previous games. Or that they used some program to voice Mario in a certain way. Not like the game character talked a lot to begin with.

What's the difference between handheld and docked modes.

@LikelySatan They might keep them or they might sell them. Can't expect your kids to keep your treasures. They are your treasures, not theirs.

I never understood this hoarder need to keep and collect stuff. I would rather do digital even if stuff gets pulled eventually. I will be playing Switch 4 at that point to care. Plus we all will be gone someday and your prized stuff will be sold off or find it's way to the trash dump. Sorry to be a downer.

This trilogy and Read Dead Redemption were my most wished games to play on the go. It does not matter to me if these are digital or physical.

I loved this on PS3. I might get this again just to play on the go on my commute.

I think think it would be cool if Nintendo got better 3rd party AAA games at launch. Something more aimed at adults like an exclusive GTA , Witcher or something in that vein. And have trophies, I really enjoy those.

I really enjoyed it. Some games don't look great in the Switch handheld mode. This one looked great in that mode. Too bad about the cancellation.

Everyone seems to like this, but to me it looks awful. And I do like Hellboy.

When the game's selling point is the harsh difficulty, I skip the game. My reflexes are not what they used to be.

Who at Nintendo thought this game was a great idea? Releasing this right after Zelda Tears of Kingdom is obvious that Nintendo knows that they have a turd on their hands shadow dropping it around same time as Zelda.

I thought that this had potential to be a good sneaking game like Styx which I did enjoy. Oh well

If I don’t like to build stuff, can I still play and complete the game without it?

I will wait until it is 33% off 5 years from now. Do want to play it but have a humongous backlog of games on Switch and PS5 (including tons of PS4 games).

If they dropped the price on some of these permanently, those numbers would be even higher. But instead they made the resale value of these games more profitable for the used game market.

I enjoyed this game on PS4. Very story driven with choices that change the outcome. There are multiple possible endings.
Dark Anthology games are really great. It will be interesting how this runs on Switch, as it is a game with more graphics.

But how do those sales compare to the other Megaman Collections?

Kind of cool, but no subtitles? I can see some angry customers and parents complaining without having this knowledge ahead of time. Hopefully they will drive that home telling folks multiple times to make sure that they know what they are buying.
