I'm not sure what to think. I want to be blown away but at the same time I'm not sure how big a deal the innovations are going to be. Wii U wasn't exactly a huge mind bending departure from what we knew.
Maybe this is the best way to be, so if it's amazing I really will be blown away.
@SaKo I read a review saying they finished it in under 2 hours and that it seemed episodic. They liked it though so I guess for the price it may be pretty good.
If it is episodic a part of me kinda wants to wait and see if they release multiple episodes together somewhere down the line though...
It would be nice to be able to suggest new stops they could add. At the moment in my town (which is kinda small) there are three pokestops but they're sorta placed one after the other. It would be more fun if we had more pokestops spread out to encourage more exploration.
@rushiosan I think Denpamen did AR better than Pokemon Go too. Although it helps that the denpamen already float around. With Pokemon it just looks weird so I always have it switched off.
@Zanark I love Japan I really do but most of their visual novels seem kinda "eh". (although that mainly applies to the super cutesy romance ones....which is a lot of them) The only ones I'm really into are Zero Escape, Ace Attorney and Danganronpa. (oh and Steins Gate)
Don't get me wrong, I know Greninja is a very popular Pokemon, I'm just wondering if it would get the most votes if it's gen wasn't the current one. Plus it's pretty interesting that Lucario is nowhere to be seen.
The results overall seems pretty "give me a rare Pokemon" rather than a vote for your actual favourites though.
I'm not really sure how to feel about Nintendos E3 this year. Obviously Pokemon Sun & Moon news will be more than enough for me but if they're looking for something explosive I'm not sure if it'll be enough.
I really like this group of starters. I like all three of them....but my favourite has to be Rowlet!
Popplio is probably my second favourite, I love the personality they show off in it's battle animation.
Also, I prefer the Moon legendary to the Sun legendary. It just looks cooler. Something about the lion just turns me off. It's mane looks really strange. (also the Moon legend is like some sort of ghoulish skeleton bat, what's not to love?)
The Nintendo Treehouse is the best part of E3 for me. It's what convinced me to pick up the Bayonetta games.
I'm not sure if Zelda will be enough on it's own (seems like they're just putting all their eggs in one basket) but I don't really have my hopes up much so whatever comes will be fine. (at least for me)
I'm not sure what to think about this really. I mean on one hand just because we're not seeing it at E3 doesn't mean there won't be a presentation on the NX before the year is out. Maybe E3 is just not as big a deal as it used to be? That is the impression I've been getting in general over the past few years.
I really want the NX to wow me (and others) but I'm definitely feeling pessimistic about it at the moment.
Kind of makes me wish they'd do something with the Eternal Darkness IP that they own. It has so much potential as a series.
In general Nintendo has a lot of really cool but more obscure franchises that could have a lot of potential if done right.
Plus I'm not sure if it'll happen now but I'd love to see Chibi-Robo get one last spin at the original GameCube concept on the NX. I think people would probably be more open to it these days. Especially if they tried capturing the Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon type audience.
Well if it's turns out to be true that they're releasing an updated Smash Bros as a launch title I could see that being true really. Especially if the new Zelda game comes out during the launch window as well AND they get 3rd parties on board. That's a lot of maybes though.
I think I'm very much in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp though.
I think the joke was that he revealed something without revealing anything at all.
Since it would be obvious to the majority of people that a new generation will introduce 9 starter Pokemon and we already know about Magearna and the new bird Pokemon. So we're already at 11 even without considering the mascot legendaries and evolutions of the new bird Pokemon.
New Pokemon are a HUGE part of the appeal in any new generation.
I don't think new generations would have the same kind of appeal if we were to start getting even less new Pokemon than Kalos introduced. I mean Kalos only just barely covered all the types with it's new Pokemon. Some types got really shafted.
Personally speaking I would be content if we got anywhere between 80 and 120 new Pokemon each generation. (I wouldn't say no to a couple more, but I think somewhere between those numbers is more reasonable)
Well, there are Pokemon that get their name inspirations from languages other than English. So I don't think it's such a bad thing to have a couple of Japanese inspired names make it over here.
I mean for the most part your casual player wouldn't really care as long as the majority of names are understandable to them.
Aren't "kids" going to be playing that though? I doubt it's going to get an 18 rating.
This game is likely to get a mature rating (the creator even said so himself) so somebody showing a bit of flesh is the least of their "problems" in terms of censorship.
I might get Yokai Watch, maybe not straight away though. The demo was fun enough.
I'm most interested in the Tokyo Mirage Sessions game out of all of them though. If it's anything remotely like the Persona games I'll be in my element.
Lost Reavers looks interesting too, but I'm not sure if it would grab my attention for long.
@Uberchu Pretty much. Although to be fair the announcement of Sun & Moon far outshines the VC thing, but in terms of surprise the VC thing definitely caught my attention more.
It wouldn't be unusual for the 7th gen games to come to the 3DS.
The 4th and 5th gen were on the original DS after all.
(I'm not too bothered about this spoiler really, I mean let's be real here....you know we're all going to be jumping from the ceilings if we see a trailer and starter reveals tomorrow)
To be fair the announcement trailer for Pokemon X & Y was only about a minute and a half long. So they could certainly drop a lot of bombs in 5 minutes.
Assuming they don't do some kind of anniversary intro trailer beforehand.
I can understand how younger kids might not be as keen on these games.
I mean I started with Pokemon Yellow but I think even I will find it pretty awkward going back to play these games since I've gotten used to all the features that have been added over the years.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of Pokémon Sun and Moon: Special Demo Version?
It doesn't really blow me away or anything, but it's about what I expected. It's definitely nice to see what the game will look like on my 3DS.
Re: The Pokémon Sun and Moon Demo Limits Online Functions on Old 3DS Models
Meh I don't really need browser access on my 3ds anyway. If I want to browse the internet I'll just use my phone.
Miiverse isn't any great loss either.

Re: Video: Go Back to Court With This Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice Prologue
@Piersen They'll probably be all like "we're gonna kill him" and then somebody from the royal family will pardon him for some reason.
Re: Video: Go Back to Court With This Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice Prologue
@Piersen Well in the demo they still seemed to care about contradictions pointed out in the divination sequence.
So I guess it's more like they have blind faith in it rather than dogmatic faith.
I guess it'll still be a bit unrealistic though.
Re: Four New Pokémon Revealed For Pokémon Sun And Moon
It seems fair to say that there probably isn't any leisurely activity in Alola that can't also result in death.
and you thought it was safe to go to the beach....
Re: Poll: Will You Still Be Playing Pokémon GO at the End of 2016?
I'm not really sure. I mean right now I'm not really playing it much since I have a lot of issues logging on and with the servers.
Maybe at that point I'll actually be able to play it reliably.
Re: Weirdness: Pokémon GO Has Inspired Parents in the US to Name Their Children After Pokémon
Some names like Roselia sounds nice for a child...
Don't know about calling your child Pikachu though....

Re: Seven New Pokémon Revealed for Pokémon Sun and Moon
I really like these designs. Especially that dragon guy, he kinda looks like some wise dragon that would appear in an asian themed Disney movie.
Re: E3 2016: Fresh Pokémon Sun And Moon Details Include New 'Mon And Battle Format
Loving how Grubbin looks, it looks like it has a lot of potential and it's cute. Hopefully it'll be more like Venipede than Caterpie.

Re: Video: Pokémon GO Footage Leaks Ahead Of Official Release
Not surprised that it doesn't look very good. I always thought people were giving this way more hype than it deserved.

Re: Rumour: More Claims Made For New Legend of Zelda on Wii U and NX, Gender Choice For Playable Character
I don't see what would be so bad about adding a female Link option. It's not like male Link is just going to disappear.
and I'd imagine male Link will continue being the canon option anyway.
Re: Miitomo Romps Past The One Million Installs Mark On Android
I like it a lot so far. I feel like I end up talking to people online in ways I wouldn't usually.
I think it's great for those things you like or do that you think nobody else does, then it turns out somebody agrees with you.

Re: Video: Check Out What Crash Bandicoot Would Look Like as a Smash Character
Personally I'd prefer Spyro.
Re: You Can Have 1000 Friends In Miitomo, But No More Than That
I'd never get anywhere near that number so I don't care.
I feel like the term "friend" is being used pretty loosely if it's possible to have 1000 of them.
I guess "passing acquaintance" doesn't have the same ring to it.
Re: Community: Your Favourite 3DS Games - Fifth Anniversary Edition
Ace Attorney deserves it. (1st and 4th place)
Definitely my favourite game series of all time.

Re: Chase: Unsolved Cases Investigation Division - Distant Memories is Bringing Hardboiled Detective Work to 3DS
Ooh yes please! Loved the Kyle Hyde games.
Re: Fans Should Expect "Something New" With Zelda Wii U, Says Eiji Aonuma
I hope so. I've been getting a bit bored of this series in recent times.
Although I still want to check out Majora's Mask sometime.

Re: Gallery: Take a Look at Famitsu Scans and Screenshots for Zero Time Dilemma

It seems very unlikely that this would be censored, considering they're not games that are intended to be played by children.

Re: Paper Mario Colour Splash Coming to Wii U
I'm so torn on this. It looks a lot like another Sticker Star.
I want it to be exciting but I'm just not feeling it. I guess the Paper Mario ship has sailed.
Re: Rumour: The European Version of Bravely Second Only Has "Good" Sidequest Endings
@Tobias95 To be fair, there isn't anything in the world of videogames that would be the "end of earth"
but people can still be mad about things.

@Uberchu Pretty much. Although to be fair the announcement of Sun & Moon far outshines the VC thing, but in terms of surprise the VC thing definitely caught my attention more.

Go Team Blue!
It seems like the least popular choice always wins these splatfests though? Doesn't seem very balanced at all.
Re: Masahiro Sakurai Wanted Geno to be a Playable Smash Bros. Fighter
I don't really care for him, never got the hype.
I'd rather have Mallow. (although I don't care much for him either)
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Favourite Legend of Zelda Games - 30th Anniversary Edition
Wind Waker would probably be my favourite Legend of Zelda experience. Along with Seasons and A Link To The Past. (that was my top three)
I have a feeling if I ever get around to playing Majora's Mask it might become my favourite though.
Re: Video: Bask in the Nostalgia of the Latest Pokémon Red, Blue & Yellow Virtual Console Trailer

Re: Review: Goosebumps: The Game (3DS)
It looks like it would be really nostalgic if nothing else.
I'd probably just get the version on Steam though.
Re: Man-Made Pokémon Magiana is Revealed, to Star in Upcoming Movie
It looks really cool. I definitely want one.
It looks like a legendary, although it could also be the Lucario/Zoroark of gen 7. (they were both the stars of their own movies)
Re: Brand New Pokémon To Be Revealed By Japanese Magazine CoroCoro
My first thought was that it looked like Braxien. If it wore a puffy dress....
Re: Hands On: Searching for Clues in Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo
Looks really cool. Shame about it being so short, but maybe if this one is a success they'll get the go ahead for a longer sequel.
Re: Rumour: Super Smash Bros. Planned as NX Launch Title, Bandai Namco Working on "Several" Games
I wonder if the NX Smash Bros will be an update of the Wii U version.
More endless speculation. Just when you think you're out....they pull you back in!
Re: Detective Pikachu Trailer is Revealed, Arrives as a Download in Japan on 3rd February
This is ridiculous enough that I actually want to play it.
I like games like Ace Attorney anyway so if it has similar investigative elements it could be really interesting.
