It's crazy how something so simple can become a controversial line these days. If boys and girls didn't become men and women, none of us here today would exist, and we wouldn't have reached the point where tech helps make today's standards of being what you want possible. Just let these parents have fun.

Well, I'll be. One of my work mates keeps asking me if I have a baseball game for my switch and I didn't want to break down and buy the RBI games just yet. Most likely this will definitely be my first baseball related game on switch. Seems pretty solid if it does transition well to the console.

I'll be playing Horizon Chase Turbo and Golf Story with a friend off and on after work.

It's not about thinking we know better. It's about the developers taking out core assets that make the game truly what it is in favor of a literal gimmick. As you've said, there are people who are going to be okay with it, and that's fine, but that doesn't mean that those who aren't happy with the decision should sit back and say nothing at all. For one this is a forum, we can be as vocal as we wish, and on top of that, suffering in silence isn't the way to help the community grow. Having opinions isn't supposed to simply be divisive, and I don't think this is one that is controversial. Game Freak has been slowly dropping the ball for years, and it's getting worse. Once we start conforming in favor of just going with the flow, we lose our chance to make sure we get actually finished games with completed content. Our voices should matter.

@johnvboy Sometimes the fans know the core audience better than the developers. You don't always need to go so far outside of the box to find success. Just look back at all the previous mechanics that everyone loved. I can't believe that the first game on the switch wouldn't have the processing power to house all current Pokemon, but the 3ds could. I'm sure everyone would agree that the 3ds was lower tier hardware, but yet, all 800+ Pokemon was always available within the games. Sure down the line I can see there being too many, but I doubt another 50 or so Pokemon added into the game is pushing the hardware to the max. Of course fans would be mad, each Pokemon had it's place within the game. Heck, the whole literal point of the game is to catch them all! It's not an extreme reaction to feel slighted.

I can get why people would be upset over this. When you consider fan made projects that incorporated different design ideas that work for the series, it's surprising that Gamefreak would think removal of Pokemon in lay of a new gimmick was the right way to go. Keep what works and improve on what doesn't. Go over series best and reincorporate that into the game. Instead we lose some troops, and are expected to be ok with it for the new game play mechanics that probably won't be there come the next generation. I'm definitely not as hyped as I could have been. Just give me an iincreased difficulty function like random trainers with six Pokemon or something. Lol

Aside from bait for fish (virtual fishing is already usually tedious enough without bait being neccessary) I love everything about this game! It's going to be amazing and well worth the delayed wait.

Looks like there will be no soft resets. I wonder what his new job will be.

Gooigi over Daisy. I don't approve. While I don't mind Gooigi, it's sad Daisy receives no love.

....Just...why? It's a slap in the face to not try to do anything special with it. I'm sure the franchise is selling well enough on Switch, which is why they are bothering in some ways, but it's sad that they don't add any effort.

@Mgene15 I own a ps4, but no internet, and I'm not sure if I even plan on getting it soon. It's literally gathering dust since everything has to be downloaded. With my Switch I take it to work and use the wifi there for downloads. Everyone's situation is different and the obvious road isnt always straightforward when people want other avenues to open.

I don't think its typical for a person to have a triple digit Jersey number, and even more is the fact that it was indeed the date of a Poke Direct, means that it could potentially be a correct theory. It would be a cute one if it does turn out to be true.

I'm currently playing My time at Portia. As laggy as it can be, I am truly enjoying this game. It's a nice time waster while waiting for animal crossing. I just started it a few days ago, and I'm on my second season.

I've currently restarted Pokemon Ultra Sun. When it first came out I didnt really have much interest in playing it, but I'm enjoying it a lot so far! When I go to work I usually play Mario kart with my coworkers so that too come tomorrow night. 3rd shifter here. Lol

I'll be playing Ace Attorney because I'm a sucker for this series.

I'm looking forward to everything on the list. Lol I'm glad animal crossing didnt fall out of the 2019 release window!
This year is still shaping up to go out with a bang. Nintendo has my wallet in their clutches and don't want to let go.

This game looks awesome. That aside, it is a shame a spin off is coming to switch and not ps5 itself, considering the core audience are those that have played persona 5 I'm sure. Its kind of like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon releasing on ps4, and not a main line title in the series.

I'd buy and play this. I will buy this. Lol Just at this point I have to decide if I'll get ps5 for my ps4 or not.

I'm still stuck wondering how they decided to make a Detective Pikachu movie in the first place, and now even more surprised to know it's most likely good and enjoyable. Lol

So not only console parity, we also get exclusive content basically? If it's true, I'm more excited for it. I love gaming with my brother so local coop would be amazing.

I can't, nor, will I support this. Third party be darn. It's pointless to try to swindle people with a game box with nothing more than digital content inside. Again, this is just my opinion on it. Perhaps box collectors can find a love, but my heart isnt swayed.

I'm not disagreeing in full, but I believe the true problem with this is that there are hardly any major 3rd party exclusives on switch, and the 3rd party titles that do come out are ports or delayed titles.

Sigh. I'm not gonna go out of my way to ask for it, but if you wanted to bring it to switch I would be interested.

At this point, switch sells alone should be enough to interest developers in taking the time to bring their titles over.

Perhaps the boy is sincere and it is truly his mother pushing for the lawsuit. He could very well have been happy that the dance was represented. The root of all evil is money I suppose and they know epic has a lot of it.

I'm so happy to hear this! If only because it means we should definitely never go for want of games during the switch's lifetime.

The sad part of Wii u were the droughts and I'm already happy with what we have on switch, and the future is looking pretty darn bright with what we know to be coming in the next year alone.

Congrats on the success nintendo! Not that they dont have faults that can definitely be worked on, but overall I'm happy with my little travel companion.

Um, your point being what exactly? ^^; Because I don't see the problem with this for those that would be interested in a physical copy of the game.
Looking terrible and being terrible are two different things, and i didn't realize this game could be judged in its entirety yet for being a terrible experience not worthy of having these sort of viable options to all consumers.

I'll be buying the switch version on release.

I remember learning about this game way back in April at Pax East.

I forgot about it since then(haha), but I'll still buy it whenever it comes out. (:

If I recall correctly, Final Fantasy X / X-2 and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age have been confirmed physical on switch.

It's a gorgeous game, and I loved it on ps4, but I have a hard time accepting the digital only price point and download size. I am currently low on space so I'm being a tad picky because of that.

Maybe whenever it has a future sale I will consider buying it then, but I guess they didn't believe in switch sales for this particular title physically.

I used to love playing as paratroopa in Mario tennis for the 64. He is nostalgic for me, so I am one of the few interested parties. Lol

Dark Souls and possibly Valkyria Chronicles for me this week.

If you think the outside of the car looks good and you say so, it doesnt take away from the outside of the car, right? But you start that same car and it stutters every few blocks, it's like looking at the animations for this game. However, as everyone has already said, that can be ironed out before release.
So if they think the game looks good, I do not understand why you even have a problem with THEIR opinion.

I haven't dipped into the expansion pass yet so this is wonderful news indeed. I will be getting the physical edition, but as I'll be out of town a few months more I'm glad to hear that I can just open an email to add it to my current gaming experience.

Just Hollow Knight and Bloons TD for me this week. Mostly Hollow Knight. I'm so happy it's out.

West of Loathing. It's actually a really interesting game. Enjoying it so far.

There shall also be a sprinkle of Hyrule Warriors and Mario Tennis Aces in my weekend schedule as well.

The offline play argument just doesn't really make any sense to me, but if someone would like to go in more detail about it, I'd love to hear it because maybe I'm missing something in regards to why people bring it up.

You don't have to play Overwatch any differently than you would on a PS4 or your laptop. The graphical downgrades, sure, I understand those points. The offline one? I just don't get it.

Personally, I'd play a game like this docked at home or over a friends house, or even try to play it somewhere with a stable internet connection. It being on a platform like this just becomes another option for the Nintendo audience.

I already preordered. It wasn't that expensive and seems like a great way to kill some time.

A lot of you guys haven't seen how many people liked the NoA tweet I take it. Nobody cares that its late. They're just happy its finally coming, and not that far away either.

The plot actually sounds interesting to me.

It was a first year switch game that wasn't on par with other systems. I'm sure it didn't sell as well as the others for having both a smaller install base than other systems at the time, and for other people similar to me unwilling to pay for a version that didn't offer what the others had.

EA isn't the only 3rd party out there. When they get on Bethesda levels of loyalty then I'll think about acknowledging EA then.

I bought the Naruto Trilogy last week, but I suppose I can mark it now. Lol

I really wanted this game, but its 24.99 so I wanted to hear a second opinion first. It didn't help that there weren't too many people that seemed interested when it released. A 7 for the experience seems fine to me, so I'll eventually pick it up. Value is a huge plus, and it seems like a fun experience.

I'm bummed. All I wanted was the Naruto trilogy, but apparently it's not getting a NA release. ;_;
