Re: Ryan Reynolds Admits R-Rated Lines Were Recorded For Detective Pikachu

Deku-Scrub

Not surprised at all, but I am kind of shocked that The Pokemon Company even allowed words like “hell” to go through considering Pikachu, the face of Pokemon as a whole, says them himself. Ryan Reynolds regardless was a fantastic pick for Detective Pikachu, so I don’t blame them at all for giving them a bit of leeway with what he could say.

Re: The Detective Pikachu Movie Reviews Are In, And It's Actually Pretty Mixed

Deku-Scrub

From the sounds of it, it should be a hit with fans and general audiences, but the film itself is not terribly deep.

I’m totally fine with this too, I rather have a fun movie rather than a tropey-cluster of generic Hollywood junk like the Sonic movie with what we have seen so far appears to have.

I’m still looking forward to the movie as much as I have before.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Opens His Own Official Twitter Account After Retiring As Nintendo Boss

I really hope this doesn’t backfire, Twitter has been overwhelming heated for years and the toxicity has only been increasing by the tenfold. I feel that the best move for him to make probably would have been staying off the internet publicly and just doing the occasional interview here and there. I wouldn’t be surprised though if Nintendo is keeping tabs on him considering that he is one of the major faces of the company still despite him not being President anymore.

Re: Daemon X Machina Producer Thanks Fans For Playing The Limited-Time Demo

Deku-Scrub

I really hope this game gets some sort of delay, or at least serious fine tuning for me to ever even consider picking it up.

They need to give the main character a voice in this, heck, imagine if they went for a true Evangelion (or any other mecha anime) feel for this game. IMO, most games with true silent protagonists (Not ones like Link who still express some emotion) tend to fall flat on their face in making the player feel fully imersed in the world and relationships between their character and the supporting cast.

I have so many other thoughts on this game, some of which I have already touched upon in the past. But, the demo literally felt like a tech demo, as if they were just showing the concept of what they were planning on making, rather than it being the final product.

Good luck Marvelous Entertainment, I hope you guys pull this one off.

Re: Google Reveals Stadia, Its Vision Of A Cloud Gaming Future

Deku-Scrub

This is an actual joke.

In terms of the barebones concept, it’s fine. However, almost no one in the world besides maybe Japan is going to be able to use this without any major issues. I still think it is too early for streaming to be the core of gaming, and on top of it Google doesn’t seem to understand gaming too well themselves, heck, the CEO himself admitted that! They’re attempting to make gaming “accessible” but I don’t see how it is realistic to do so right now at all in the way they are thinking of it.

Re: Armoured Mewtwo Trademarked In Japan

Deku-Scrub

Armored Mewtwo has been a thing for decades, my bet is that it’ll be involved in the TCG again because of the Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution movie coming out in July in Japan this year, and that it could potentially have a GO tie in (think Event Pikachu, Sunglasses Squirtle etc.).

Could there be “Armored Evolutions” in Sword and Shield? Sure. I think they could be really cool plus that means Gen 4 remake Armored Infernape 😎. But this whole thing is still only a rumor and there is no concrete evidence to back it up.

Re: Kill la Kill: IF Is Bringing Its 3D Battle Action To Switch In Europe

Deku-Scrub

We better hecking get this in the US to some capacity, and I am really hoping that it doesn’t turn into the let down that was My Hero One’s Justice either.

@AlienX “IF” means an alternate scenario for the most part with games. This game is called Kill la Kill IF because it follows a new plot line compared to the anime. The Fire Emblem Fates games had the “IF” element to their name in Japan because those were meant to represent the 3 main different scenarios you could choose to go down.

Re: Splatoon 2's #GearForAll Social Media Movement Fights Exclusive Japanese Content

Deku-Scrub

I've seen a lot of people online claiming that regional exclusive gear doesn't matter and people shouldn't care, but I can't understand this at all. One of the biggest parts of Splatoon is getting to dress up and customize your Inkling or Octoling to your liking, and preventing people from getting certain pieces of clothing for no particular reason seems bizarre to me.

Heck, most of these pieces of clothing aren't even very regional specific, like, I can get why they would have that CoroCoro contest set be exclusive to Japan, but why the business suit? Why a hoodie? Seems pretty dumb to me.

Re: Reminder: Nintendo Sending Out Survey About Daemon X Machina Demo

Deku-Scrub

After playing the demo, I am quite concerned for this game. The big thing the devs for it have been pushing is that it is a “satisfying mecha experience” but it missed that target by a mile practically. Nothing felt satisfying, and most of the time I felt frustrated trying to find enemies and distinguishing different things on the map because of the very unique color palette they decided to use for the game.

This game DEFINITELY needs to be either delayed and rethought, or it has to have a nice bit of reasonable overhauls to the system and even art style if they want to have a successful game that is fun to play.
