Re: Talking Point: Is A Nintendo Direct Really On The Way?

Deku-Scrub

Ya know, I want to believe that there will be a direct soon, but I can’t help but feel that Nintendo is going to push it off until around March/April in exchange for some sort of Mini Direct or Indie Presentation.

The fact that we got several updates and smaller announcements in January doesn’t help the case of a February Direct either, it is certainly plausible, but I am leaning towards a hard no on this one.

Re: Download Warning Ruins Box Art For Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster

I’m fine with them making it obvious that there is a large download required to access the game and whatnot, but I would prefer if Nintendo found a better conpromise with the publishers to have it be less intrusive of the box art, it being a smaller symbol like the ESRB, PEGI etc or it being transparent a little bit at the very least would be great alternatives.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Is Getting A Gorgeous New Art Book

I am VERY tempted to pick this up, I recently got the Special Edition version of Xenoblade 2 specifically for the extras and I was planning on giving away my old standard copy to a friend anyways, so it ended up working out. I really hope this gets a translation though or that we just see more Xenoblade stuff pop up in the West though.

Re: Rumour: Universal Studios May Have Cancelled Plans For Pokémon And Zelda Theme Park Attractions

Deku-Scrub

This totally sucks. I was actually looking more foward to Pokemon and Zelda rather than the Mario/Donkey Kong area planned for the third park.

I’ve been to the parks before and The Lost Kingdom area doesn’t have much to it, at best its just a place to get some (overpriced) food, but most of the other sections already have that.

As for the Kids Zone, most people from what I can tell simply aren’t that interested in Curious George, Barney, or Woody Woodpecker as much as they once may have been. So killing off Pokemon is a complete mistake on their part as people would go to Universal JUST for that.

Re: Half Of All Switch Owners In The US Have Bought Zelda, Mario And Mario Kart

Deku-Scrub

This is quite honestly fantastic to see.

Back in the Wii days the majority of Wii owners tended to get Wii Sports, Mario Kart, and maybe Galaxy, with a lot of third party shovelware-type games to go with it (or at the very least this was the case with everyone I knew who had a Wii).

The Switch though has seemed to have successfully captivated its target audience with Nintendo’s first party titles, with the third party games being more of an “icing on the cake” compared to the Wii where that was a whole piece of it.

Re: Rumour: Swedish Retailer Lists Metroid Prime Trilogy For Nintendo Switch

Deku-Scrub

I really hope this is true, but I looked at the listing myself from the retailer and I have my doubts that it's true. What would be the point of showing off all the original GameCube and Wii box arts, and then in theory wouldn't this probably be HD? (or at least I'd hope it'd be).

Ideally something gets announced, Nintendo keeps lightly teasing it and it would make the most sense to prep everyone for Metroid Prime 4 by re-releasing the trilogy, this could also allow them to safely put Prime 4 in 2020 to satisfy everyone for now.

Re: Switch Nindies Nominated Across Multiple Categories At The Game Awards

I feel like it's going to be a battle between Spiderman and Red Dead for GOTY, although I've been seeing a lot of people mention God of War which certainly is up there as well. Red Dead is probably going to come out ahead though because of the "freshness" effect (although it is very good as well), everyone is hyped about Red Dead right now and is focusing on that, although God of War and Spiderman certainly have a chance still as well.

But we all know Super Mario Brothers 2 for the Nintendo Entertainment System is gonna swoop in and get the victory again babyyyy

Re: Dragalia Lost Is Nintendo's Second Largest Mobile Game Launch In US And Japan

Deku-Scrub

@Aozz101x @Anti-Matter I highly doubt this game will ever make it onto Switch, the game heavily relies on what I find at least to be annoying touch and drag touchscreen controls and the whole game in general is centered around a mobile design.

Also they are dealing with entirely different markets, Fire Emblem and now Dragalia have done so well because of people spending money to get more chances to collect event characters and whatnot, which is something that wouldn’t fit the Switch as well in my opinion at least.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 6.1.0 Is Now Available

@Adrevenue I heard that the only way to obtain the sacred stability power of the 3DS was to spin around in a circle 300,001 times while wearing your best Mario Party themed MyNintendo printable hat, and then right afterwards you have to order a large pineapple pizza from Pizza Hut and burn it as a sacrifice to Reggie. After this you have to go into Amiibo Tap: Nintendo’s Greatest Bits for the Wii U and tap Mario, Donkey Kong, and K.K Slider’s amiibo in a very specific order to the tune of “Lost in Thoughts All Alone” from Fire Emblem: Fates. After this an 8-Bit toad will walk onto the screen and inform you will be recieving a package in 8-10 business days.

Only then will you be bestowed the power of the mysterious relic known as the “3DS”.
