@justin233 Same here. I just want them to be bundled with a Switch so I can get my wife a one and also get 2 new different colored joycon on the process.
@aesz My neice is autistic, and severely low functioning. I see her every day, and have taken care of her for years. She'll never lead a normal life and will need care for the rest of her life to help her with common tasks required for everyday life...
Personally I don't get too bent out of shape when someone just casually throws the word autistic around like it's no big deal... but it is at least a little annoying and I do understand how some people can get upset, especially if they are on the spectrum and struggle with autism themselves.
Here's an similar comparison... There's a common saying of comparing something bad to a "train wreck" like a bad movie or something. My grandma was unexpectedly killed by a train 10 years ago on a drive home from dropping my brothers off at school. When someone compares something to a train wreck in casual conversation, where do you think my mind immediately goes?
Anyway, you can say whatever you want... Freedom of speech and all. Just trying to shed some light as to why some may be upset. Hope this helps.
@gwyntendo Sax's Bedroom is more of a joke level, lol. I made it for a streamer friend and his Discord said it was too easy at first, so I ramped up the difficulty. So far only the only person who has beaten it, is the streamer it was made for, lol.
Thank you so much for playing my stages though! And if you're interested I uploaded 1-3 and 1-4 of my Super Mario World series just last night!
I'm also trying to make my own full game in the SMW style... but so far I only have 2 courses complete amd will probably have a 3rd up today with the 4th done by Sunday, finishing up the first "World"
If you're interested, please check me out! I'm actually pretty proud of my stages so far. They're also like mini collectathons since each stage has 100 coins, 6 stars, and 3 1-Ups hidden within them.
@erv I REALLY hope they continue Mario Maker as a series. I'd love to see new game styles in the future, like the Mario All Stars graphics themes, Mario Land, amd SMB2.
As for a dream addition I would absolutely love a Yoshi's Island theme.
@Joeynator3000 100% agree. Water and lava should be available for all themes honestly. Also it would be nice if we could remove water and lava altogether as well.
Another nice touch would be quicksand as an option, we've seen that in many other Mario games at this point.
I feel like at the 1 year mark since Online went paid is when they'll announce SNES games. That way they can entice people to pay for a second year. I'm totally fine with paying a yearly fee to be able to play SNES games online.
Crash would be cool too. Honestly there are still so many options. When people say Smash is running out of options for new characters I usually can name about 30 off the top of my head that would work in Smash.
@thesilverbrick Sun and Moon were HORRIBLY balanced. If you went online you immediately were checked by a Tapu Legendary, and an Ultra Beast, usually followed by another legendary with a Z move and some broken mega Pokemon. If you tried bringing anything other than the absolute strongest Pokemon you were ripped apart, every time.
Ideally they should have just removed a ton of Pokemon from online play, but realistically they couldn't include every Pokemon forever. We're approaching 1,000 now counting Megas and altrernate forms.
@Alucard83 True! It would definitely be cool to see as long as the gameplay ia still top notch!
Personally I don't mind if they go more realistic, as long as they stay true to the characters.
Ideally for me I'd love them to go the opposite direction when it comes to Mario. I'd like to see something with full 2D animation similar to Wario Land: Shake it.
@YozenFroghurt The difference is that by Feb 2020 Smash will have 6 DLC fighters, where Dragonball Fighterz will have 50 DLC fighters in the same timeframe.
I loved the movie. Only minor complaint I have is that the movie's mystery is pretty easy to solve for viewers familiar with Pokemon. All in all though I'm really happy with the movie.
Smash Bros. Is absolutely insane. Seeing Mario, Sonic, Snake, Megaman, Pacman, Ryu, Cloud, and Simon Belmont all fighting each other in 8 player Smash is something that shouldn't exist. But it does.
@CharlieSmile She could definitely be a faster version of Pacman with maybe different projectile moves.
Personally I'd love to see Geno, Paper Mario, Waluigi, Kamek, Ganon, Majora, Marx, Dixie, Cranky Kong, Meowth, Porky, Tails, Knuckles, Zero, Chun Li, Crash, and Bomberman added into future Smash games.
I know it's unrealistic to expect more characters at this point, but if Smash continues this trend of having more fighters in every game, then I hope some of these characters get in.
@FNL There's more variety in this game than in any other fighting game I've ever seen... Piranha Plant only adds to that.
Sure, we all have our wishlist for fighters. I could probably drop 50 names here for potential future fighters... but honestly it's unrealistic to expect more at this point.
Who would you add to the game if you could to give the game more vatiety?
Been playing Smash since the N64. Such a wonderful series. Smash Ultimate is such an incredible feat in gaming. Bringing so many characters across so many different series, across multiple companies... It's insane. Not only that, but each character is fun to play as and decently balanced across the board. Smash Ultimate is the best Smash Bros. game by a mile. I wouldn't even mind if they just ported this game to every console until the end of time. Maybe just add a few characters a year.
@shaneoh My uncle lost his arm because he drank a bunch of alchohol and got behind the wheel of a vehicle. Pretty sure if he decided to have cake instead he'd still have that arm...
Obviously drinking on camera isn't that big of a deal, but it's their policy...
This is kind of an obvious inevitability. Once graphics get to the point where they can't really be improved upon in any significant way, console iterations will be unnecessary. Eventually Smart TVs will become more and more similar to PCs, at that point you could probably purchase a digital console service that would allow you to play digital games from the company of your choice without the need for a physical console. Everything but the controller would be digital at that point.
That's how I imagine it will go anyway. We're probably talking 30 years from now, or something. I just don't think physical games and consoles will be a thing forever, unfortunately.
@colinjack arenas are amazing for battling with friends obviously. I haven't tried crashing a random arena yet though... I've had such good luck with Quickplay that i never considered it. Maybe I'll try some arenas tonight and report back.
@colinjack it is strange. I see a lot of people saying the connections are bad, but everyone I know personally and some online have had the opposite experience. Evwn some Youtubers I've watched have had opposite opinions on it.
@colinjack I've personally never had a problem with it. I don't have a wired connection, and I've even played with friends on the opposite side of the country who were using a phones mobile data hotspot, and we still didn't have any lag.
Also with randoms, I've played 170 matches and only one time have I gotten a free for all match, when my prefrrences are 1v1. I'm not mad at that one bit.
@FlameRunnerFast There'll be 17 nee characters once the dlc is finished. That's not far off from Brawl or Smash 4, really. Plus your not taking into account the returning characters. 58 characters for Smash 4 vs 82 for Smash 5 once dlc is finished is a huge difference. That's actually THE LARGEST jump in characters playable from one Smash game to another, lol.
And I'm sure there will be plenty of bosses in the story mode. We already know of 3 or 4 of them.
I'm definitely considerate of others views. You're entitled to your opinion. Saying Smash 5 lacks enough new content tp make it worthwhile though? That's a hard viewpoint to sell when we're looking at what's probably the most ambitious fighting game ever made.
@SpaceboyScreams $85 gets you 82 characters, a new story mode, unique classic mode runs fpr every character, 108 stages, and over 900 music tracks. that's plenty of new content. What more could you want?
Gen 5 < Gen 3 < Gen 7 < Gen 1 < Gen 1 Remakes < Gen 4 < Gen 6 < Gen 3 Remakes < Gen 2 < Gen 2 Remakes
I like all of these games. Black/White, Ruby/Sapphire, and Sun/Moon were pretty big disappointments for me though. Mainly because of how good the previous games were. The remakes of Ruby and Sapphire though were brilliant though.
Getting 29 NES games that can be played in portable and TV mode by December essentially for "free" with online play added in is not a bad deal...
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed though. I'm especially itchibg to play some N64 games in HD lately, and online SNES games would have made me so incredibly happy.
I'm going to love playing Dr. Mario and a few other games online though.
@Francema Mostly, yes. In single or multiplayer you can simply "unfriend" any unnecesary partners. There will be times where you'll need a full part of 4 or a specific ability though. So sometimes you won't have a choice.once you pass those sections though, you can again unfriend everyone and play solo or with other human players.
The partners really don't get in your way too much though. Once you know what you're doing, you should be able to react MUCH faster than the partner characters ever would.
My wife and I had a lot pf fun with the game. Beat every mode and it took about 20 hours. There's a lot more you could dp even after that point, but it's mostly high score repetitive stuff and the actual game has little replay value. I thought it was well worth the $60 for 20 hours of play though.
I thought they couldn't improve on Smash for Wii U. The number of characters in that game was already insane. Now they've added around 12 more or so with 3 of them being new fighters and honestly at this point I highly doubt they'll top this. The ONLY way they will is if they reuse mechanics from this game as a starting point and just build up... and I'm perfectly fine with that if they decide to do so.
Any hate this game gets is absolutely unwarranted. If there's ANYONE unhappy with the character lineup in this game than maybe Smash Bros or even fighting games in general are just not for you.
I will spontaneously combust if Geno doesn't make it in though.
I don't know... If the online service doesn't offer N64 games I might just buy another Switch for modding purposes. Nintendo still benefits because they would have sold me another Switch... by ironically... not giving me what I want.
