@tseliot I just tested and yes, this update did fix Resident Evil 4. I was progression locked at one of the last bosses and was able to get past him just now.
@Mrkittyhead @Mrkittyhead YES. I was in the last hour of Resident Evil 4 and the game broke 2 updates ago, blocking progression entirely. They definitely need to fix this one.
Awesome! Now please fix Resident Evil 4. That one worked fine until the previous update which broke game progression, and this update doesn't fix that issue.
Speaking of Resident Evil, the new Switch 2 update breaks progression in the game, making it unplayable on Switch 2. Basically camera will crash and start vibrating in place, with no way to unlock it. You xan still hear what's going on, but you won't see what's happening, because the frames don't advance to the next action. This happens at many points in the game, so no matter where you are in the story, it will eventually stop you from progressing.
I haven't had a single issue yet, and I've already played through around a dozen games.
That said... I'm glad I happened to play through and finish NieR Automata early this year before the Switch 2 released. Really hoping that one gets its issues squared away.
@bosh 2 out of 3 of my brothers have one, and up until Switch, they didn't really buy Nintendo consoles, so that surprised me at least. We're still in the stage where it'll mostly be owned my Nintendo fans. Give it another year or so. Especially if they come out with a Lite version in 2 years. Then a lot of parents will be buying them for their kids as holiday and Birthday gifts.
@BenAV That's basically what I do for every game release. Games go on sale within 6 months of release and many 3rd parties do deep 50% to 80% discounts. I'm okay with being a few months late.
I was at Walmart yesterday ( US Las Vegas ) and they had a demo kiosk where you could select multiple games including DK. I watched my kid play Bananza for a little bit before getting back to shopping.
I honestly forgot that you could rank lower than 1 gold star. My wife and I start out on 100cc and half the time we get 2 or 3 gold stars anyway, but it's not the goal before moving on. Once we move on to 150cc though, then yes, 3 star gold grinding begins.
@NinChocolate It's not about bonding. It's about an established bond. The whole movie is about Mario saving Luigi after being separated. Luigi's scenes were some of thr better moments of the movie, but yeah, he didn't get a ton of screen time compared to Mario, or even Bowser.
The only M&L game I maxed out in was Superstar Saga, which is still my favorite in the series. ( I haven't beaten Brothership yet, but it's probably in my top 3. ) Maxing out in Superstar Saga also allows you to one shot the final boss with a bros attack, and you can first strike to win any fight well before then, which is pretty funny.
I actually purchased this game for the sole purpose of trying something new. I had no idea what it was or what what I was promising to put multiple hours into, but it ended up being a game I would never forget playing.
I always thought they could have included every Pokemon in Gen 8 if they wanted too, amd it wouldn't have been too bad balance-wise with the dynamax gimmick... but after Gen 9's ridiculously overpowered Pokemon I'm actually hoping that Gen 10 cuts out every single Paradox Pokemon, Goldengho, the big catfish thing, Garganacle... they're just ridiculous and unfun to play against in most situations.
Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are a guilty pleasure of mune. Exactly the right amount of good and bad in those games to make it both entertaining and hilarious.
That said I don't think a third game would work. They'd either end up taking it too seriously, or not seriously enough. I'd still love to see it though.
@dustinprewitt This happened to me as well, but I have a 3rd party Pro style controller. I just went into the system settings and turned off rumble entirely. (Personally I don't like rumble in any game anyway)
@gcunit If it's a remake of the SNES original then it's only a couple hours of content... but with multiple characters, difficulties and a game this good it's worth every penny. I've played and beat the original and this is still a day 1 game for me.
Allowing Hyper training at level 50 and making Mints and Bottlecaps more common items would fix so much...
Also nerfing PP as I mentioned in an earlier post/response would do wonders since players would be forced to use more than just 1 Pokemon inbetween towns.
@Browny The existing PP system already resembles a Stamina system, but I think where it fails is allowing so many moves to have 20-40 PP. If they lowered the PP of most moves it could drastically change how the game is played, and act as a Pokemon's Stamina meter fairly well.
As someone who has had their entire video game collection stolen twice and a smaller selection of games stolen on a third occasion... not to mention games lost or damaged by siblings in the past... I'm kind of okay with a temporary digital ownership, as bad as that may sound to some. Especially for the Switch where all you get is essentially a mini SD with the game loaded onto it, and no manual in the box.
@UltraZelda64 Let's say you buy the AC and Mario Kart DLC separately... What happens if in 5 years the eShop is gone, you can't redownload your games, and your SD Card corrupts? You lose the content all the same.
Same if you own a physical game that gets lost/stolen or damaged beyond repair. Yeah you have more control over a physical copy, but some things are beyond our control.
Not trying to sway you one way or the other... I guess my whole point is just enjoy the content you want to enjoy, however you want to enjoy it, because ultimately ownership is temporary in almost all cases.
The off model, fluid animation looks excellent in my opinion. There's so many cool expressions and smear frames. You could watch this 10 times and see something cool you didn't notice before every time.
@VoidofLight I played pretty regularly until the Crown Tundra DLC came out and I finished it's story section. Despite wjat some will tell you it's a lot of fun and the competitive postgame is actually very good. Adding every legendary back in was a huge mistake imo but aside from that it's really good.
@Yosher That makes sense. While you could definitely ignore dynamax for like 90% of the game, there's no avoiding it during gym battles. EVERY gym except for one uses Dynamax and so does the champion, so I can understand not enjoying that aspect.
@Yosher I personally hated Z moves with a passion. Megas were... Okay. I mostly enjoyed the cool designs of them more then anything.
But Dynamax feels fine to me. There's a lot of strategy behind when and how to use and overcome Dynamax Pokemon. It also makes WAY more Pokemon viable for competitive play, and once this DLC drops and legendaries, psuedo legendaries, and Ultra Beasts are running wild in the meta I feel like Dynamax will really help to keep them in check and balance things out. ( assuming legendaries and Ultra Beasts won't be able to Dynamax... If they can the game is over imo. )
I loved Origami King for what it was... But these limitations are hurting the series. They desperately need to return to their roots, or at the very least be allowed to incorporate new characters and more complex stories. Limiting them only hurts the Mario series as a whole. Imagine if every Mario RPG ever made had these same limitations...
@Heavyarms55 Yeah... I know they're saving ideas for a potential third game and I'm thankful for what we got, because I love the game... but I REALLY wish there was more.
It's 4 worlds with 16 stages total. Some stages are set on optional paths as well. My stages are tough, but fair. There are no insta deaths or kaizo tricks, so you don't have to worry about that, and almost every stage has exactly 100 coins, and 3 hidden 1-Ups. Please give it a try!
You're supposed to check the beach periodically throughout the day. Only about 10 to 15 will show up at first, but if you check the beach again later there will be more. There is a limit to this too though, so even if you wish on 100 stars you'll most likely only get a maximum of about 40 to 50 star fragments the next day.
@Ardisan 250 hours here. Sword and Shield are the most fun games for Pokemon battles in the series to date, and I've played every game upon release. Sword and Shield have so much variety, I can go online and see different team setups constantly.
I was surprised they handled it this way. The delay is only one month after all. It seemed like a very "Nintendo" type of move for them to make. I'm really happy to hear that it was met with positivity.
@Kalmaro Oh yeah, ideally Gamefreak could have just banned ALL Legendaries and Ultra Beasts from online ranked battles and everything would have been much more balanced.
The only reason I was "happy" they were cut is because we knew the Dex cut was happenjng regardless, and I was hoping they wouldn't cut a bunch of Pokemon AND leave all the legendaries in.
I am disappointed that most of the starters were cut, but I'm still having fun with the game even 100 hours in, so I can't be too upset.
Dexit is disappointing for sure, but it was inevitable. I'm actually glad all the legendaries were cut, because they offer nothing when it comes to competive. They're either banned so they're useless, or they're allowed and are some of the most unbearably difficult monsters to battle against. The part of Dexit that really stings in my eyes, is cutting out all of the starters. That was a mistake imo.
Aside from that I love the game. I do have criticisms of course, like not having a fun way to level your team to 100. Hyper Training still being inaccessible until level 100 is a bad idea. Mints sounded like a cool idea but are gated with high BP prices. Shiny hunting is still as awful as ever... but aside from these gripes this is still up there with some of my favorite Pokemon games.
@Dm9982 That's exactly how I've played every Pokemon game after gen 3.
I also try to rotate my Pokemon. Instead of a team of 6, I usually try to use around 15 to 20 of the new Pokemon and make different teams as I go along.
I've played Pokemon since the very beginning. I remember every single Pokemon game release and I've played all the main series games. Diamond and Pearl were very special games in this series.
It's the last game in the series that needs a remake in my opinion.
At this point their ONLY option would be to port Ultimate to the "Switch 2" All DLC included, and then just work on more DLC fighters, building on what they already have. I understand this would ALSO be very difficult due to licensing... But I beleive most of these 3rd party companies would be happy to keep their IPs in Smash and would probably consider cutting Nintendo a deal since it's a mutually beneficial thing to have your IP in Smash.

I always avoid spoilers on the evolutions and only choose based on the first form. ( Aside from gen 1 which featured them on the box art )
I tend to have a Water type leaning which I started to notice after picking Piplup in Pearl.
Red: Charmander
Silver: Totodile/Cyndaquil ( multiple play-throughs )
Ruby: Mudkip
Pearl: Piplup
White: Snivy
White 2: Tepig
Y: Froakie
Sun: Popplio
Sword: Sobble
Legends: Rowlet
Violet: Quaxly
