If the reviews are good for Rodea I'll pick it up when its in the bargain bin. They have this crazy idea that I'm willing to pay 74.99CAD (before taxes) for this game and I'm not. I wouldn't even pay that much for 3D World which could very well be one of the best if not the best game on the system.
Considering that the Wii U can play the Wii version and upscale it to 1080p this is disappointing because there are GameCube games that should be getting HD remasters like Luigi's Mansion & Mario Sunshine. Especially since it seems like Nintendo is never going to add GameCube games to the Wii U Virtual Console. What a waste rereleasing a game many have already played and can still play on the current system.
Is that a direct Japanese translation? LOL. How much money did the guy get paid to come up with that original name? Maybe the NX should be named Nintendo Game System. NGS is still better than Wii U though.
I'm not big on the download only for consoles. For the most part my digital library is Steam/GOG PC only. I usually only buy digital games when they go on sale and never at full price because there is absolutely no resell value.
The reason why I'm lenient towards Steam/GOG digital games and not Nintendo console digital games is because of how the account system works. Nintendo games are tied down to the hardware and if it dies and is no longer supported by Nintendo I'm out of luck. With Steam/GOG games I can build myself a new computer with off the shelf parts and transfer my library over. The only way you can transfer Nintendo games over to another system is if you have the original disc/cart.
I still have my Sega Genesis from when I was little and the carts to go with it. Longevity is something I think about. Digital software doesn't last forever because of the restrictive DRM and that is a big factor in determining if I spend money on it.
I just want Pikmin 4 for the WiiU. Than Nintendo can kill it off if they wish. Its highly unlikely I will get the NX. I'm just not into consoles that much anymore.
It sounds like they are going to update the WiiU to XBOX ONE power and throw in a 3DS. Not very exciting. So 2015 is the last year for the WiiU. Of course there will still be some games in 2016 that were delayed. But this is pretty much the deathblow for the WiiU.
Tatsumi Kimishima didn't understand the game industry in the GameCube era. Why would he understand it now? Nintendo has been in a decline since forever with the exception of the one time Wii anomaly. With these sales patterns the NX is going to be a failure. Nintendo is aging and more out of touch with each generation.
It better get released on the Wii U because its the last Nintendo system I'm going to own. If they do a dual release with the NX I'm cool with that. The Wii U has only been out for 3 years and if they drop support for it so soon don't expect me to ever support Nintendo again.
I would get one but than I ask myself the same question when considering the real thing. What the hell am I going to do with this crap? I don't have any games that fully utilize it. Amiibos and Amiiqo is a high price to pay either way to unlock some useless stuff.
Disappointed about digital only Fatal Frame. It looks like a game that Nintendo doesn't want to support. If this were the Wii days where a digital option wouldn't be possible we would need another operation rainfall in NA.
If it comes back it won't be the same. Iwata was a charming likable guy that respected his audience. Even though his English wasn't the greatest you could tell that he was trying his best because he enjoyed doing Directs for the English speaking audience and didn't want to leave them out.
Nintendo should have mailed one of these one dollar plastic toys to every club member as a thank you for your support. That would have made for a better farewell gift.
So the reason why we are missing so many titles is because Nintendo has to control everything themselves, they are short staffed and don't want to hire addition workers. No wonder why their third party support sucks. All they have to do is give third parties a little more freedom and trust that they can test a rom with their emulator and we could have much more vc titles. I'm not surprised by Nintendo's backward approach anymore.
Thanks for the secret Menu Code. Why would Nintendo even make this a hidden menu? Games that are installed to the hard drive start up with no delay now.
The dust has settled. People are set in their ways. I don't see this converting any XBOX or Playstation owners. If the game was on their system they would probably be praising it. But they are not going to buy a Wii U for a game that looks kiddy.
The biggest Wii U news for the last Nintendo Direct was that Fatal Frame is coming. So yeah the wind down is beginning. But this was expected. Nintendo operates on a 5 year cycle. The Wii U came out in 2012. We are in 2015. Nintendo will end support in 2017 if not sooner in 2016. There isn't much time left folks. If we are lucky we may see a 3D World 2 or Pikmin 4 before the end but I wouldn't expect miracles. Zelda can very easily become a dual platform release.
The WiiU has 2.5 years left. If Nintendo doesn't announce any new games than the system is dead. Expect them to release the already mentioned stuff and wrap it up with that as they focus more on the NX.
It looks good but I can see myself getting bored rather quickly. I'm not the type of gamer that enjoys all day COD death matches. Shooters are less appealing to me.
I'm sure Nintendo will continue to make fun games but I don't think they will change Video Game Lives. The only thing that will be changing gamers lives is Virtual Reality and that is if it works, and becomes affordable. On another note I wonder if Nintendo is starting a trend where their codenames sound better than the final names.
I didn't feel like buying it at $13.99. I sure am not going to at $15.99. In all fairness this hike actually puts it closer to the US $12.99 with the current exchange rate. But this is something that should be US $9.99 to begin with, and Canadians didn't get a raise to be able to afford higher prices after the Loonie dropped. I don't see the appeal in expensive Chinese plastic. I would rather spend my money on more games.

A music CD would have been so much better than a soundtrack.exe.

If you don't have a computer that can run this game you are living in the dark ages.
Re: Brunswick Pro Bowling Is Aiming For A Strike On Wii U
I'll wait for the reviews. But if this isn't better than Wii Sports Bowling I don't see the point.
Re: Sacked Nintendo Treehouse Staffer Chris Pranger's Dialogue Has Been Removed From Star Fox Zero
So Nintendo is so cheap they have to ask their friends and family to do company work instead of hiring professionals?
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Is Receiving A High-Definition Face Lift
It looks like a high rez PS2 Game. Its just another amiibo cash grab.

I would so want a new Wave Race or even Project Hammer over a stripped down Mario Tennis.

You know what is worse than the typo? The crappy holiday lineup being advertised in the catalog.

Not expecting anything great from this. This feels like after party left overs only there never was a party.
Re: Zelda Fans Vent Anger At Nintendo of America Over Doge Memes In Tri Force Heroes
Nintendo needs to make the text dialog shorter in their games. They usually run off into story books.
