Chris Pranger - the Nintendo localiser who was removed from the company after talking about what goes on behind the scenes at the Nintendo Treehouse - has confirmed via Twitter that the lines he recorded for Star Fox Zero have been removed and will be re-done by another voice actor.
Nintendo using internal staff to record dialogue in some of its games was one of the topics mentioned by Pranger in a podcast he took part in - the podcast which was seemingly the cause of his dismissal.
Pranger took the news on the chin:

It's a real shame that Nintendo didn't leave his lines in, but understandable given the nature of his departure from the firm.
Star Fox Zero was confirmed for an April 2016 release in yesterday's Nintendo Direct.

Who was he voicing in the first place?
If new lines needed to be recorded leaving his lines in would mean a mismatch. His lines had to be removed.
He's the reason for the delay! BOO THIS MAN!!
Disclaimer I don't know if he actually is the reason for the delay, but y'know... it's possible I suppose.
Funny if they delayed just for this lololol
Petty v stupidity.
I don't think he should have been fired, especially considering what he was fired for was actually in defence of the company.
@ThePirateCaptain The first end of level boss. You heard him on trailers.
Hell hath no fury like a Nintendo scorned
@TheDavyStar It's been a while now so my details may be off, but wasn't he specifically told to knock it off? Some of what he was revealing just wasn't professional too, especially not for a person in his position.
@BarryDunne heheh
I thought this might happen. I'm unexcited to see that it has. Looking very forward to playing the game!
@TheDavyStar
There's a difference between defending the company and berating its customers.
@PanurgeJr Please do not pretend there is a logical reason for this, or else we cannot get angry at Nintendo and Nintendo Life doesn't have something to complain about.
@Mr_Rawky @Mogster I was thinking the same thing...
Guys It's not because he got fired but it's because new lines needs to be recorded and as he is fired... they don't want him to go inside the nintendo treehouse again
@zool this ^^^
The lines had to be redone anyway, so it makes sense for Nintendo to get someone who wasn't fired to do all the lines for the character.
Edit: what 123akis said
@Mr_Rawky This would have caused a day for about a day to redo his lines. Seriously, not that hard to do bad voice acting, which is what makes Star Fox so amazing.
Would you rather your voice kept in starfox or removed if you were fired? I would want it still in just for the bragging rights I think.
Makes sense. It would be weird playing a game where a character have one voice and then another for the next (new) dialogue. Unless they pull a crazy stunt like the character getting injured to the point their voice change like Leonardo in the new TMNT series.
Using internal staff to record dialogue, instead of outside VA professionals... Very reminiscent of the old days when few could afford anything else. Saves money, but the quality of your work will almost surely be lower for it.
@DiscoGentleman
"Also, I think this guy is kind of a wang and clearly can't control his want for attention even now."
I totally agree.
It's his own fault; when you're given a warning for doing something but go ahead and do it again anyway, no one else is to blame but you.
I still can't believe this guy's stupidity. He flushed a cushy Nintendo job down the toilet because he wanted attention.
...I mean I do feel for the lad, but seriously - what a douchebag.
@ThePirateCaptain
He voiced the first boss in Corneria. You can hear his voice in the E3 demo and the new voice in the Direct.
He must have really ticked someone off.
Given what I've seen of Nintendo Treehouse I find it a bit frightening that they have Nintendo Treehouse members localize and voice anything.
And what I've seen of Nintendo Treehouse is they are all a bunch of hipster casual elitists.
I have to wonder if its them who think replacing translations with memes was a good idea.
This might be for legal reasons aswell. It's never a good idea to use work from somebody you have just sacked if you can easily re-do it. The guy might sue you for...whatever reason, like using stuff without permission.
Yaaay an awkward situation gets more awkward. I wonder what the next part of this saga will contain.
I would say this was a evil move by Nintendo.
But seriously, he deserved it.
does this guy not get it? I suppose since he was fired he can post this but it only goes to show a guy like this should not work in a place where you have to sign a NDA.
He removed his tweet, does anyone have a back-up?
Kick him while he's down.
That's really a shame. Fire him if you must, but I feel like that's unnecessary.
@Genesaur This is not unnecessary, the voice acting wasn't fully done so ofcourse you need to redo it all if you replace a voice actor halfway in
From the remarks he made and got fired for, he sure doesn't sound very mature.
He was a very personable guy; I see no reason to give him a hard time for it. Everybody has flaws, and he just had a little hard time keeping a filter. The things he said, they're the kind of things that are easy to forget are things you're not supposed to say, such as that the comment that fans don't make up a big enough demographic to justify localizations we want.
So Nintendo is so cheap they have to ask their friends and family to do company work instead of hiring professionals?
Pwnt, Nintendo style
@Dauntless You're trying really hard here. pats on the head
@Mijzelffan Why? lol
