Nintendo life is doing a disservice to rpgfans by giving it a low score, Grandia 1 is arguably the best ps1 rpg and 2 was pretty great as well. People complaining about price forget square got away with releasing a gb game and 2 snes games for 40 a few months ago

This the switch version is horrible i have to wait for fixes for it to be playable nonsense needs to end.Is the switch version perfect no there are very very infrequent crashes(ive encountered 3 all in dock mode in about 30 hours) but you save so often that your losing only a handful of minutes so meh, it isnt as pretty but thats the norm and a few rooms have some loading time issues but besides that it runs very smoothly in handheld and docked and is alot of fun to play.

Thank God my switch is under warranty to gamestop 50 dollars is not a bad investment for some much needed battery boost

Its all about cost , id willing to pay 100 more for a switch that has 5g and around 30 a month tops for a big data plan(how much data does streaming a game use from the cloud use ir multiplayer for that matter). However id expect netflix hulu and an internet brower

2 sides to this, 1. Nintendo and sony are historically rivals the switch has beaten the ps4 in japan and the ps5 will be hard pressed to fight it(and really nintendo has been the only competition since sony basically beat microsoft from the start of this generation). But 2. On the other hand nintendo machines have always felt like that compliment to the sony console in the house and with the switch being a handheld and about to be completely dwarfed power wise by the ps5(although a ps4 level switch pro one would imagine be super tempting to developers) there going to be 2 almost completely diffrent lineups outside of indies and a few ports

@Chunga you realize e3 was less than a week ago right?, anyway if the witcher 3 and doom can run on a switch then theres no reason that fallout 4 cant or give me a fallout 3/new vegas rerelease

Squeenix is porting everything the switch can run to the machine plus supported it with its best console exclusive tbrpg and im still expecting children of mana/bravely something or another to be announced soon. As far as this game goes its 20 brand new isnt awful to give something a try especially from a developer with the pedigree of squaree.

They own the rights to amalur so why not a remaster/port

These are good /great games but It’s hard to get excited about pre saturn/even 32x games at this point

Alot of negativity, itll all depend on how well it works, if say it works fine on regular broadband internet(i.e not end) then this could be a monster. It seems like itll be very easy to port pc games and the idea that you can play top end games just by bringing your controller to your friends house seems very appealing to a casual audience imo

Even if 5 is too much of a strech theres no reason 1-4 and dmc cant come(they were all last generation or older games)

Ff7 releases during the direct, western release date for ff9/crystal chronicles and the secret of mana collection with perhaps word on a switch kingdom hearts of some sort

Cloud was in Theatrhythm for 3ds before smash so just like joker persona q2 not his main game but technically he has appeared. Honestly i expect in a nintendo direct at some point to hear of a dmc trilogy port(the switch is getting resident evil ports so why not dmc)

The ps4 version I played early this year was incredibly choppy not to mention it looked like garbage(and I’m no graphics I love Jrpgs but I expect something that looks a lil better than turok for the n64)

Tanks are fun,they kill things! But I dunno it means I’d have to go to Japan and I don’t think I can drive there(thank you al gore) so I guess I’d have to fly since I don’t think I can swim that far. Also once I’m there how do I say I want teenage girls that ride around on big metal cannons without seeing something that would horrify me.

Having played through game dev story like 3 times on iOS. It’s a lot of fun and def worth picking up, hot springs story never did much for me but dungeon village is fun

@AlexSora89 yep because Sony gets everything that comes out on a Nintendo console except for octopath 2 dragon quest spinoffs 4 other crystal Chronicles games, 1 game in the chocobo series. Not to mention the massive amount of handheld exclusives

There’s a few right time right place games(I don’t see arms or Mario tennis selling as well without being released during “software droughts”) I’m legit surprised at how well xenoblade sold though and it wouldn’t shock me to see octopath join this list

Punch out(Wii) is one of the few games were motion controls were more than a gimmick(it was also great for exercise) so if this comes close to what punch out Wii was motion control wise it’s an easy buy

The original was a game that made owning a psp feel cool it was very unique(still is) its a game I'm shocked never got bigger than it did(screams casual gamer to me)

At this point I don't see the point in a lot of R and D since with the success of the switch the obvious path forward is another switch with better internals/better battery life unless they want to release a range of models with different sizes(which would make the joycons weird) point is they've found a winner improve the internals and sell it like hotcakes

May is gonna be expensive between this dark souls,deep strange journey and donkey kong

Very indifferent to this never got into dq until the iOS port of 8 and I've felt because of the sometimes grindy nature of the series that it worked better portably as something to do while watching tv/traveling somewhere. So I guess the question for me is how much of a wait is the western release of theswitch version summer 19? Is this a case of Sony having some kind of timed exclusivity? With how developers are being cheap with switch memory does the switch version have voice acting or other flaws? Hopefully we have some kind of idea to the switch version before the PS4 release

Does battle chasers nightwar count it was kickstarted but being a thq Nordic game eh anyway would like to see a release date for the switch version

Honestly the switch will stay atop sales(monster hunter and dragon fighterz are a blip on the radar) until we get a ps5/Xbox whatever as Nintendo being able to advertise having portable console quality on the go will work with the mainstream until then(atleast in North America as I don't see anything short of a vita 2 challenging it in japan)

The performance right now isn't awful I'm not getting slowdown with anything less than 5 on the screen at once that said there's never been an excuse for some of the issues imo they should have downgraded graphics and focused on it being playable on launch day
