What a shame. I absolutely LOVE hand of fate 2 and this statement clearly shows how decent and mature they are.
For what it's worth, if anyone ever sees this from the company, HOF2 is a fantastic piece of work and will always be in my memory even when my Switch goes kaput.
@Aneira who are you talking to? Literally nobody in the comments previous have said they find it offensive just that they have the comprehension to understand that the name is the most likely reason it was automatically taken down. Possibly because somebody, within their right of how the heck they want to parent, reported it.
No one here cares. Only you (abd a few others) seem to be bent out of shape because some words were removed.
@nesrocks wth are you talking about? GBA games are very akin to SNES. There's some fantastic ports that are obviously different but play and sound great!
(Ps. Sorry if I seem aggressive, meant to be taken/read in a light-hearted way)
@LuciferOnReddit Maybe they already do? Maybe this was their (yearly??!) treat? Maybe not I don't know!
But we're all quick to judge when I know i could buy less games and give more for sure and I'm probably near the bottom of 'richness' of people here. 🤷♂️🤷♀️
@frogopus I have no qualms what others do but that makes me sad.
I'd rather someone pay a ridiculous amount of money on something because it'll make them happier in life, even if others find it bizzare than just to get more money in the future which well, may not happen and certainly can't be taken with you. :/
On a less depressing note! I'm sorry the US postal service is rubbish vs couriers. More the other way around here with my experiences.
@construx Are you making sure you are reading the mission text before each level?
I've not gotten far at all yet but that is essential.
Used to beat 1-3 a lot bitd but this is more about finding out the levels 'gimmick' and it's almost more puzzle then platform (at least so far with my experience)
I'm not against fan games personally but you have to understand there is a lot more to it than a big company being harsh.
Imagine if Nintendo were about to release a similar product just after a fan game was making the rounds. People may get confused as to who's is who's or may not support the official game as hey, there's a free one.
Another reason is if they allowed everyone to make fan games, free or not then there is no way to guarantee the general piblic will know what product is official and suddenly, "wow Mario games are utter garbage now. The hit detection is awful and the levels are a random mess" So people will no longer support them.
Finally, it's very easy to see a giant corporation as a bad guy but imagine if it was just a single person who's art keeps getting stolen. Or better yet think about the actual thousands of people who work for them and rely on Nintendo for their livelihood and that allowing fan games to exist could damage that.
@Silly_G Problem with voting with your wallet when it comes to licenced sports games is there isn't much alternative nowadays.
And in general gamers don't vote woth their wallets anyway no matter what companies do. Sure there may be an outcry every so often and a publisher will put something right but I would bet you they will try again in a year or two.
@Ardisan In the courtroom it isn't fine. The sole reason the art would sell is because of the IP. In reality, limiting the creation and sale of art to wholly original ideas would be a catastrophe.
I assume if someone sold 100,000's of prints a month with Nintendo characters then yea they would shut that down asap though.
@Fake-E-Lee sorry to hear about your anxiety. There's definitely a reason it has done so well. I like the idea of multiplayer maps but online gaming stresses me out lol (nightmares from mmo days and people being way too serious!)
I completely understand the catch up game even when it comes to researching upcoming stuff. At the end of the day you gotta get your fun out of it.
Although you probably won't be playing much else for a while I will say Stardew,Treasure Tracker and Yoshi are pretty chill as well if you haven't played. Toad TT was a nice break for me personally. Although not great deal of replay admittedly.
@Fake-E-Lee fantastic game. Been meaning to go back since last update but there's too much to play!! Had to turn shakey-cam/bobbing off on the Switch one though as it made me sick heh.
@Pod Is this true for Switch? I sometimes choose to start the software and play then update later on. Are there some Switch games that won't allow this?
We have a couple of Switches and I'll be getting this for sure as I missed the original and it's a fantastic idea.
I am a little disappointed in the local multiplayer needing another cart though. No way I can justify that when the other half isn't interested in making courses herself.
Fingers crossed you can still select a character in single play! (though I doubt it)
@nessisonett for now. As it stands digital will probably dominate and become the only means of aquiring new games and that already leaves a lot of control to the publishers.
If it became 'the norm' for cloud gaming and with gamers not caring how they recieve their fun do you think big publishers wouldn't choose total control where they could in theory decide to take away the games so they can sell it again later in limited formats or something?
This is how stuff like dlc on disc and lootboxes are around. People complain sure but they still get their monet at the end of the day.

Re: BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle 2.0 Update Adding Nine DLC Fighters This November
Awesome. Love the game despite not knowing half (or more) of the franchises.
Neo Politan is cool. I'm all for Crow as well.
Re: Ubisoft Reveals A Brand New Rabbids Game For Nintendo Switch
@diablo2 What sells, sells. Plenty from both sides are available. I don't see too many family friendly games?
Also some "mature" games to me are considerably immature. I loved playing Farcry on 360 but damn it was super cringe inducing.
Re: Switch Owners Choose To Play EA Games On Other Platforms, Says Company CEO
More fool them, I only own a Switch.
Re: Civilization VI Dev Explains Why Online Multiplayer Wasn't Included In The Switch Version

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
To everyone with their circumstantial stories where they haven't had this issue and therefore=there is no issue.
A pair of my joycons have drift that has cone and gone via cleaning methods.
I own and have owned currently 10/11 console systems. Also a cab and pinball machine.
Out of everything that I have fixed and had failed, the joycon sticks are the only ones where it is clear there is an issue somewhere.
They had an issue way, waay sooner than anything else I have touched (my C64 is tougher)
The behaviour of the drift is more strange than previous drift on other controllers.
Still, just a circumstantial story right?
Except thousands if not millions of others have the same issue exactly.
Re: US Law Firm Opens "Switch Joy-Con Drift" Class Action Investigation
@Sakura Oh damn really?? Thanks for the explanation. Never heard of analogue sticks loterally deteriorating in such quick timeframes.
Now I'm curious if they could be repaired by individuals somehow. Hm..
Re: US Law Firm Opens "Switch Joy-Con Drift" Class Action Investigation
We have a stick that I fixed for a few months but it came back.
I can only guess it's the build quality of the sticks themselves. I don't understand those that say it is dust though as they have dust covers?
Like some users mentioned above, desynching and recalibrating over and over after also doing the usual is what helped me the first time.
I'm wondering if it's a mix of quality and software?

Was disappointed

Great game but we have it on xbox360 with (imo) decent controls and couch coop.
I don't understand why this port doesn't?

Re: Nintendo Has "No Plans" To Add Switch Lite's D-Pad To Future Joy-Con
@Giygas_95 Same to me. Maybe because I haven't played enough fighters or something but Blazblue and commands for ryu/ken in Smash is fine for me.
I just wish the sticks would behave!
Re: New Pokémon Sword And Shield Pre-Order Goodies Appear On Nintendo UK Store
@Nintendofan83 Nah it's cool, I'd be negative too (have been in the past the other way around ;] )
I'm not sure. I hope it's not that reason!
I'd suggest everyone emailing/ getting a petition or something going and if they see a big enough market maybe, hopefully they will start supplying.
As it is now they don't know unless they try.

This looks amazing. Don't let the speed put you off, been some brilliant slower paced fighters in the past.
Gonna have to go on the backburner for me though. Too many games this year!

Re: CD Projekt Red "Not Really Cutting Anything" From The Witcher 3 On Nintendo Switch
Never played and very excited (especially with the physical side) but also very cautious.
Reading reviews of ps4 and xone there was framerate drops and lag there.
Money's tight atm so will wait for switch review personally.

Ron. Why?
I actually quite enjoy a cheesy film but depends on the quota. This looks too much atm.
Re: Super Mario Maker 2 File Size And Other Details Revealed
@rjejr I imagine it is as we've bth heard it somewhere but confused why the listing (according to this article) is saying otherwise...
On a side note but with similar multiplayer topic, I'm so glad sword n shield raid battles will be filled with Ai in sub 4player connections
Re: Super Mario Maker 2 File Size And Other Details Revealed
No mention of couch coop, I thought that was confirmed a little while ago after the initial silence?
Or was that an unconfirmed rumour?
Makes it a buy or skip for me!
Re: Indie Developer Shares "Bad News" About Publishing On Switch, After Pitching His Game To Nintendo
Why is he so surprised though?
Just because you can self publish on PC easily it still isn't the normal, easy route.
How many books can you think of that are self published and in bookshops?
How many movies that get shown in cinemas?
Nature of the beast I'm afraid.

Re: Asphalt 9: Legends Speeds Onto Switch This Summer For Free
A free local splitscreen racer? Yes please! Even if there's only 2 cars to choose from.
I remember looking at Xbox360 racers and there not being splitscreen. And it seems to be a common trend.
I was speechless.

Actually looks really good to me!
Not too pricey either.
Will put it on the wishlist so i can buy it in 2058 after I clear the backlog a bit.
Re: Support For Minecraft: Story Mode Ends On 25th June
@Retron
Consumers: "I won't buy digital games because I can get it free at some point anyway"
Devs/Publishers: "Hey guys, we all shut down because people aren't buying our games"
Consumers: "Hey! Why can't I get digital games anymore?"
;P
Re: Bandai Namco Might Be Releasing Existing Physical Games With Download Codes
@Alber-san well I like physical and have Dragonball FighterZ on backlog to buy but how will I know what version to get?
Or will I no longer be able to get physical carts?
It's taking away choice and adding unnecessary confusion for some customers.
Re: Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights And More D&D Classics Coming To Switch
@BigE Totally understand.
I'm currently struggling with Smash,Valkyria 4 and Monster Hunter Ultimate.
I think my brain may break when I get Fire Emblem and Mario Maker!!!
Re: Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights And More D&D Classics Coming To Switch
Oh damn!
Reading the article I was thinking how on earth will this play with no mouse/keyboard but then saw the physical editions...
At some point I will need these. Again.
Re: Try To Avoid Updating Katana Zero On Switch If You Value Your Save File
@RandomLeo00 That makes sense. I did play some Fortnite before but couldn't remember that part.

Re: So Long Ouya, We Hardly Knew Ye
@Shambo I (finally) bought Valkyria 4 and was amazed and very pleased that it was all on the cart! No giant patch!
Also a small leaflet describing that the Japanese voice pack was available and how to download it.
May have to support Sega more.
Re: Team Sonic Racing Drops Opening Cutscene On Switch Due To "Cartridge Size Restrictions"

Pac-man had some pretty nice cut scenes.

Re: Random: Nintendo Shuts Down Its Anti-Piracy Website
@Chibi_Manny liked your comment because it's right but the only reason people don't want to pay those prices is that you can get more games per pound.
Plenty of people buy special editions of modern games for more money.
If you REALLY wanted it you could get it.
Not like some arcade boards.ouch.
Re: Minecraft Update Removes References Of Its Creator From The Game
"Despite these changes, Persson is still credited as the game's creator."
Just gonna leave this here
Re: Minecraft Update Removes References Of Its Creator From The Game
After reading a few more comments I don't understand the up in arms attitude here?
His name is still credited as the creator...
It's not like they've wiped all records of his (nick)name off the internet.
It's just the splash screen. My first thought would be, well he's not involved anymore so that is the reason anyway.
