@McHaggis Yea I pretty much agree with you there. I don't think homebrew is morally bad at all but do believe Nintendo have the right and should do whatever they feel necessary to prevent piracy etc.

@zever Yea that's pretty bull on Nvidia's part. It's a shame, I know most people won't want to pirate anything but if this is constantly being reported and becomes known to devs/publishers, it could be seen as another reason not to bother with the Switch.

Seriously, the attitude of most people I've seen who are pro hack don't help any matters. It's the exact same attitude people on the wrong end of the law are like, "That ruddy copper took me in coz I did 'X', it's not that bad, I can do what I want with my 'x'/life/whatever."

No...the rules are there for a reason. So we don't suffer. If you're gonna compromise something you're not supposed to or reverse engineer this and that at least fess up and admit it's not exactly pro-company and pro-consumer.

Missed out on the last 2 Crashes, need to start playing again but still quite new to the game. Have to be Twintelle if I do get on, prefer Ribbon Girl's character but always lose miserably with her!

I know I just wouldn't bother personally if this ever becomes the case. Plenty of AAA titles from the past I couldn't even begin to complete in my lifetime.

I'm sure the younger generation would be on board but I reckon lots of people would quit and that would be a big hit.

Personally never had many issues with the current online and happy for it to come but a bit gutted I'll have to pay a family membership for a single switch just so the missus can keep her MK points and play solo every once in a blue moon.

MK is literally the only reason for us atm. And Pokken I guess but that's been benched.

Oof I'm barely sold on the GO games as it is. This could've swayed me more if they were reasonably priced but that is way too high for me.

They don't seem as bad as I first thought but if it sells well and provides a giant influx of people to move to mobile GO (which,as we know mobile games make stupid profit from skeevy mind tactics) it could entice Nintendo to head into the direction of making games to promote mobile games.

I mean...what if Animal Crossing Switch has special items unlocked only after playing pocket camp for 'x' hours!!

But watching the trailer... as long as the GO mobile game isn't necessary or an advantage (if there is online play which it doesn't look like?) then I find it ok and looks like a good idea to bring smaller ones and those not into Pokemon games much into the series.

I reckon I could get the wife excited with multiplayer pokeball throwing and not an overload of pokemon to remember. 😊

Never played a sonic racer so sort of intrigued, I kind of hope the cars aren't all "real" looking and have some fun cartoonish elements but I'm guessing the gameplay will make up for that.

Reckon the missus won't be that bothered though, MK obsessed!

I'm pretty much in the camp of this is a bad idea but for the major reason of how quickly the gaming industry takes on new things and #@$! consumers over.

A streaming service itself isn't bad per-se but it would quickly become the only option. I can still buy dvds etc.

Guess it's dependant on each person.
But it's all about future choice.

@Cyberdyne84 May I suggest one of the D&D adventure boardgames if you haven't tried them.
Castle Ravenloft, Legend of Drizzt etc.
A nice mix of easy die rules with dungeon exploring fun great characters.
All games can mix and match and setup etc isn't too bad.

The missus and I enjoy them a lot and there's no stats to keep track of yourself. Everythings on the cardboard bits.

Definitely simpler than something like Descent.

Very glad to hear this statement despite not owning a 3ds and even if it is just milking what they can from it.
Some people simply cannot afford a switch (and games and accessories) especially per person and those who own a Switch or 5 and wish 3DS to die are just selfish imo.
