I would gladly spend my entire life replaying a handful of Nintendo games. And although i appreciate a good rpg I also agree with his opinion on stories for videogames. The majority are 3rd rate compared to any books and once it's done it's done.
In that way I'd rather replay a game where the point is a score or reflex action than re-read an entire sup par hero script.

But courses for horses etc

@Octane Yea that is pretty effed up.
Someone needs to see what terms are stated when downloading new and see if there's anything there that basically violates any privacy terms or Google's terms etc.

@Arehexes Yea didn't wanna get into the whole hack/cheat blah thing lol, I've been hassled before and also educated on the matter.

I guess you're right in that the software is assuming you may cheat so that's bad but I'm still not sure the 'searching,scanning?' part is bad? Especially if as a user you have agreed for access?

@Mopati That makes sense, didn't even occur to me a rogue employee or hacker could interfere.
I imagine like, most apps (from major companies at least, not indie games) are doing this as well though? Just that mobile gamers/hackers are more vigilant to discover it with GO.

If the app says it accesses system files and you agree doesn't that mean it can access whatever the heck it wants (according to Google's rules I assume)?

Also why is it a big deal? It's not like some guy is sifting through the files, just an automated security step no?

As I say, I have no idea and these are just my guesses.

Already preordered the adapter so canceled that and grabbed one. Works out alright price wise for me but agree it's not really special, especially as you can get the game & steelbook anyway.

Only thing is I could only choose free delivery so expecting to recieve it 1-2 weeks later than if I bought from another retailer lol

Sort of. It's a kind of strange way of doing it (I'm guessing it works but not tried yet though).
I know you can make the song list show only genres like "pop" "anime" etc and "favourites"
So if you made everything a favourite except that one song it shouldn't show it.

@Anti-Matter You can set songs to favourites so essentially you could favourite them all except that one and show only your favourites

Man, not gonna lie, bit gutted I imported lol but very happy for those that don't have to now! And the drum is the icing on the cake!! This (and the track list) just goes to show that the Switch isn't seen as a purely casual machine.

Still wondering if the Moana and Ghibli stuff will be sung in Japanese or English though.

Even though I've been pretty 'loud' about anti piracy in the past on here and other places I understand ROMS and their place, especially coming from the arcade scene.

I doubt it effects current sales of past games much at all (those we have atm anyway) but you cant argue if they cause a ruckus and c&d. Only thing I do not agree with is current gen piracy. That's just a kick in the teeth and can damage the current consumer as well as the companies involved.

But I completely get what you're saying and you shouldn't necessarily just boycott and argue how a company is evil etcetc
Even small businesses do things morally grey for the environment etc to get by.

However I wouldn't say you should outright absolve them of any responsibility at all. A lot of businesses are going more green or sourcing fairtrade products because the public (and the news) have become a large voice of reason.
It is, again, to make money as it makes them look good etc but it is for the greater good in the end.

So what I'm trying to say is we shouldn't go bats$#t crazy and argue over how a company is demonic but also we should talk about it and provide the information.

@Tiefseemiez You can imagine all you want lol. Yea we have 2 consoles, which we saved for, no we can't justify spending 80quid just to play a game together.

I love this kind of thought process, as gamers I'd have thought we get the brunt of it usually.
Eg. "If you can afford 'x games or consoles' but can't afford to go on holiday 5 tines a year then you shouldn't be doing it!"

Saw a gameplay trailer for this gane and, even though I sound rude, it didnt look finished at all. Like, one of my favourite game experiences was Conan for Gamecube in which a bug made me die from a door. Twice. So I'm pretty generous with bugs and graphics.

Brilliant! Sooner than I expected but unfortunately probably wont be playing until the weekend (especially as a new game came today!)

Think we may prefer this to Fortnite. Enjoy fps to 3rdps more.

@Sabroni While I agree with your statement it's a fact that any FTP game uses behavioural tricks that can trigger an addiction in some people.
It is obviously the singular persons 'fault' but no denying the systems used enhance the probability.
I'm fine with FTP if cosmetic personally, not keen on loot boxes buuuut I'll still take a free game on Switch lol

Regarding saving ink and print costs, they could do a black & white image and it would cost the same as some type such as warranty info.

I'm shocked how poor quality Switch game stock is and the quality of print sometimes as well. Just got Blazblue and you can barely read the reverse text!

Huh I also think it looks fine, nice even. Bright colours perfect for a Nintendo console release and the sparse (ish it doesn't seem that bad at all) environments suit imo.

Main character design is very nice also. Although a cross between alien and tribal it's something that can take ages to get right and some big studio's caharacters don't even look as good.

Only thing that bugs me is that ruddy wall of text. You'd hope there would be a setting to turn that off.

@Swifthom Forgot about the comics! Guess so, don't really remember the mass consciousness of game market. Was generally a step behind.

If my memory did serve me right (which is a rare thing tbf!) There's always a chance that it was the SNES more popular just in my area/group of friends though and everywhere else was MD mad lol.

@Shellcore I get what you mean and people will spend a LOT of money on games like this but I'm perfectly fone with Fortnite as (atm anyway) it's just cosmetics.
If there's a 'pay to win' mindset then it's devastating!
