@MythTgr huh? Zelda is one of the most popular and accessible series ever. Literally designed for anyone to pick up and play. Maybe Zelda 2 is an exception, but the majority of Zelda games are very casual friendly. Even my mom played the original one on nes and had never touched a video game in her life.

The bosses are great, and really fun, but They are really easy. I can’t even think of a Zelda boss I’ve ever struggled with honestly

Also don’t really care about a June direct tbh. We just got Zelda with pikmin 4 on the way. They aren’t topping that in q4 this year. A September direct, sure

Lol absolutely not. I actually picked up the first one along with Zelda on launch day so I would have something to play with my partner. We literally lost all interest after playing it twice. I don’t see myself having interest in these Nintendo party games until my daughter is a little older

@Cashews lol emotions? I can assure you I have zero emotions for these dumpy Pokémon games. I’m talking about sales and install base too u ding dong. Pokémon games that are the second release on any given console haven’t smashed sales of the first one historically. 10 second google search will show you this

Yes, but it would have to change quite a bit more. If they sort of reshuffled the locations/topography and made it a dark world version like link to the past, I thjnk that would be pretty interesting. Would also need a new set of abilities of course

@Casco mk is owned by Warner bros., which is part of Max. They released that mk movie a few yrs ago. And a character from a max show is in the game. It’s cross promotion. Expect more WB characters in this thing

It’s no surprise that this new mk is mostly a commercial to sell max subscriptions.

Mgs2 is the ultimate gaming rug pull. Legit was marketed like you be playing as snake, even in the demo. It’s one of the finest troll jobs of all time, and dove tails nicely with the meta themes in the game. People were so mad. I feel like I remember with mgs 3 they had to beat it into the consumers that snake was back, albeit a different snake

No offense to the voice actors, but the English VO in botw was unbearable and it’s the same here. Switching to JP is crucial

@Olmectron The context is Mario though, so let’s stay there. Huge Nintendo debut movie should have a really good story with all the references and nostalgia stuff as window dressing imo, not the other way around.

Ultimately doesn’t matter, I really don’t care, but I don’t think anyone would disagree that a better story would likely be a better movie. Also, miyamoto may effectively be the father of modern video games, but that doesn’t mean he’s always right.

Sounds like it’s exactly what it looks like, and looks really fun. I’m an adult so I have no expectations for a kids movie, but it’s kinda lame there isn’t a good story(allegedly).

@Slowdive the broom things are ropes from Shinto shrines, which seems to be the theme of the sky islands. I’m guessing the Constructs are like the new guardians, and sheikah shrines are now zonai shrines.
